I went to Dr Collins to diagnose a growth on my eye called a pterygium, which Id had for 30 years, but which had increased in size with my active Florida lifestyle. With Dr Collins knowledgeable explanations and comforting descriptions of the diagnosis and recommendations, I opted for surgical removal. Everything about my office visit, the surgery and todays follow up visit was FIRST RATE. I was in and out of the surgery in less than 2 hours and could not have been more impressed with my surgeon, St Marks Hospital or the competent nursing staff and anesthesiologist. Dr Collins was remarkably gentle and skilled and I can honestly state that I had NO pain throughout the procedure and follow up appointment. I was greatly appreciative of his personal follow up phone call on the evening of my surgery, as even though Ive had other kinds of surgeries, no doctor has ever taken the time to make sure I was feeling well and had no problems post-op. There is no rating high enough to accurately recommend Dr Michael Collins as he is the ultimate professional who treats his patients with top-notch care, state of the art vision/surgical technology and a compassionate medical manner. Trust your eyes to Collins Vision and youll soon see why!

Ive had the feeling that I have been lost in the "too large office", different person with every visit; until yesterday. I was slightly upset that I had made a mistake by selecting blended implants during cataract surgery. Since I never see the same person twice, I went in with a negative attitude that I was just a $ sign and not a patient - and then I met Jessica. She listened, educated and consoled me. She spent a lot of time addressing each and every concern I had and with a positive explanation. The one thing she did not do was give me information that she was not 100% sure of. She told me to ask the doctor because she was just not sure. I respected that because I had gotten misinformation before. If I had met Jessica from the beginning, I might have been better prepared for the struggles of adjustment to the lenses. Jessica is a smart person that has the knowledge in her field and with managing patients. My visit with Dr. Johnson was also good and she did equally as well. They are a good team. I felt encouraged for my future vision and that I finally had a team who was interested in helping me to achieve a positive outcome. Thank you!!!!

The best decision I have ever made. Thank you to the staff of Collins Vision and above all, Dr. Collins, who have provided me with a forgotten freedom. Without a doubt, my decision to go ahead with the IntraLase procedure to correct my vision has changed my life. After 9 months, I have vision that is better than 20/20 in both of my eyes. Wearing contacts and corrective lenses seemed to always bar me in some way throughout my active, young life. Collins Vision uses the newest in state-of-the-art technologies and procedures to ensure precise, safe and effective vision correction. Throughout my research in deciding which LASIK procedure to undergo, I found that IntraLase technologies are used for military pilots and astronauts, who demand the clearest, most precise vision possible. While I had reservations, Dr. Collins answered all of my questions and concerns in a way that I could understand. Dr. Collins and his staff are very humble and friendly, and create a calm atmosphere during the entire experience. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

PAUL KAUFMAN DDS: I FELT THE NECESSITY TO WRITE THIS NOTE ABOUT DR. COLLINS AND THE WONDERFUL CARE HE AND HIS STAFF HAVE PROVIDED TO ME. I HAD PRACTICED DENTISTRY IN NEW YORK CITY FOR 45 YEARS AND HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO BE SURROUNDED BY EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED PHYSICIANS AND COLLEGUES. WHEN I NEEDED SURGERY, AS A RESULT OF ANOTHER DOCTORS LACK OF SKILL, DONE HERE IN NAPLES, I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR SOMEONE WITH IMPECCABLE CREDENTIALS, RATHER THAN LISTENING TO A LAYMAN. ALTHOUGH HELPFUL, HAVE LITTLE CONCEPT OF THE SKILL OF A PRACTITIONER, OTHER THAN TO SAY; "HE DIDNT HURT ME, IM FINE, AND HE OR SHE IS NICE". NOT ONLY ARE DR. COLLINS CREDENTIALS EXCELLENT, HE IS ALSO HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM BY HIS COLLEGUES. HE SAVED MY EYES BY DOING MANY CORRECTIONS, WITHOUT DENIGRATING THE DOCTOR WHO CAUSED ALL THE DAMAGE. HE IS A VERY TALENTED PRACTITIONER, WHO IS DEDICATED TO HIS PROFESSION AND HIS PATIENTS, WITH A STAFF THAT COULD NOT BE BETTER.

I have made countless trips to eye doctors since I was 5 years old in hopes to correct/improve my vision. I was always told there was nothing that they could do to help me not even glasses or contacts so I have literally been struggling for the last 23 years to see. For some reason I decided to look into Lasik and the first place I went to was Collins Vision. I felt very comfortable at Collins Vision and had a wonderful experience with the staff. Although I was not a candidate for Lasik Dr. Collins said he could improve my vision with the ASA Surgery. Normally I would get a second opinion, but I just had a gut feeling that I was making the right choice so I never went anywhere else. I just had the surgery last week and I am amazed with my results! I went from 20/100 to 20/25 in one week!!! I was also impressed that Dr. Collins called himself after the surgery to see how I was doing. Excellent Excellent Excellent experience!

I had an eye exam in June , was put in a room with glass walls much like a used car dealer. There were two woman one showing me charts of the different cataract surgery I could choose from I think the other was in training. I asked questions about what the results of the eye exam were, they said I had cataracts in both eyes . My exam a few months before found only one eye had them.I questioned this and was never answered and felt like they were trying to sell me a over priced car, I didnt need. I found them very short with answers and rude. I decided to go to another doctor so I canceled the appointment they set for me. Last week I received a statement from my insurance showing they submitted a bill for $788.00 the insurance paid part of it and I just got another bill from DR.Collins for $159.92 I feel very ripped off since I had nothing but an exam and still have to pay again to have the cataract removed.

I would not recommend Dr. Collins to any potential patient. He made my eye condition worse and has done nothing to rectify the situation. Upon communicating my continual problems with my eye after the surgery, Dr. Collins and Dr. Alessi continuously ask me to come into their office to look at my eye. During my visits, I was not treated as a priority. They treated like they wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. Along with the poor treatment, Dr. Collins office continues to bill me for all of the post operative appointments even though I was told that the post operative appointments were included in the initial surgery cost. They also have referred me to 3 other eye professionals and they tell me they cannot help me because they will not commit to correcting my problem after hearing that Dr. Collins has performed surgery on my eye. This doctor is not accountable!
