The office itself is very clean and the staff are really nice and thorough in their exams. My comment is on the lasik surgeon dr.burger. Dont ever go to him ! It was the worst experience. I felt like I was at a butchers office. I went in for lasik and had never met him before. The first time I met him was right when hr was about to start surgery. All he said was his name, then he started in. he didnt explain anything to me,i was terrified! He just put on the clamps, then suction cups, drops etc. and all the while, I was clinging to the table out of fright and he didnt even care. I was just a number he was trying to hurry up and finish so he could get to the next patient, like an assembly line! (also, he does the surgeries in groups) then he had to go back into one eye after he was finished because I had"something in it" all the while I just laid there...it was like he thought I was asleep. I almost passed out after her was finished and can still hardly est 3 days later.also, my vision is still blury...do not go here!

I have suffered from Dry Eye for years. I have keratoconus, a rare eye condition were the only way to get good vision is with rigid gas perm contacts or specialty contacts, like Synergise or Scleral. I have tried Restasis therapy, hot compresses, lid scrubs, you name it. To top it all off, I also have seasonal allergies. In a typical day I would have to take out my contacts to clean and re-wet them a minimum of 3 to 4 times a day. 10 days ago I saw Dr. Achong and had LipiFlow treatment for my dry eyes. This procedure is painless and fairly quick with zero downtime. My eyes feel better than they have in years! My maintenance is using special drops and using a hot compress once a day. The hot compress is now part of my nightly bedtime routine and I find it to be super relaxing. Most importantly, I cannot remember my eyes ever feeling this good! I can wear my contacts all day, which in my case can be sometimes 15 to 16 hours with pure comfort! Thank you Dr. Achong and your wonderful staff!!

I have been going to Coan Eye care for many years and overall they are a very good operation. The staff and Doctors are always helpful and pleasant ,and for the most part efficient. My only reservation is the lab they use for the lenses. On more than one occasion the lenses have been ground wrong and that requires a second visit to get them right. This last visit the bi focal part of my lens was a bullseye ,in the center of the lens and not on the bottom where they should have been. Whomever was in charge of inspecting those lenses should have THEIR eyes examined. The second,and less important thing, is the hours of the office have changed in recent years eliminating evening hours which were more convenient for those of us who work on the days they are open and are off on the days they are closed. Overall again it is a very good operation, outside of the lab.

Dont take my word for it, go SEE* for yourself. I have been to many Eye Care facilities through the years and here I am made to feel like family. While in previous places I felt the same feeling as when one walks through a used car sales lot, at Coan Eye Care the staff always has always made me feel comfortable with my decisions. If I had questions, they were answered. The fact that I return year after year and recommend it to all my friends, speaks volumes of the quality of care, courtesy and attention I receive from the Coan Family and their staff. *The Pun was intentional. lol When you go, let them know that I sent you... after all, In there Im family.

Coan Eye Care always has the best and up to date technology for eye care. I have been to their office for the past 7 years and never had a problem. My eye exams always go very smooth and easy. I got several pairs of glasses from their office and they offer regular and designer eyewear. They got a machine that cuts the lenses on site that speeds up the availability of the eye glasses. A great selection of eyewear, sunglasses and contact lenses to choose from. I highly recommend the eye doctors at Coan Eye Care. They are the best in Orlando!!!

The staff and Dr. was great up until the final moment. When it came to picking out frames the young lady wrote down some numbers on the paper without saying a word to me. I asked her if that was the out of pocket price. She said yes and I told her I didnt have that amount if money with me. She gave me my script and told me to shop around. I dont think she was very courteous or professional. As she suggested I will shop around. Please contact me at the number or email address on file. I need my PD if it is on file to order online.

I had a great experience at Coan. I walked in without an appointment and they let me look around at the frames and answered my questions. I scheduled one that day and came back a week later for a regular exam. Everyone in the office was helpful, the technology is advanced and non-invasive, and they had adorable and affordable options for frames. The only thing was that it did seem to take a while for the exam. To me though, I would rather have a quality check-up than a quick one. Just dont schedule an appt if you are in a hurry.

Plan on waiting.... And waiting. The office is clean and Dr. Coan is good but they are never on time so plan on waiting ... And waiting. 30 minutes before I was called. They took some preliminary checks and then put me in a room to wait another 20 minutes to see Dr. Over an hour for an eye exam is unacceptable. Also they are very expensive. You can buy contacts for 1/2 the price elsewhere. Did I mention a long wait.....

When I went to Coan Eye Care, from the time I walked in the door I was taken care of, The receptionist was nice and the wait time was fast, but the most thing that impressed me was the Optha. Asst. Kyle was very professional and caring, he really made me feel comfortable(i really liked his care). Just wanted to say Thank You and Kyle keep up the good work and God Bless you!!!! ve been looking for a great eye practice for almost 8 years in Central Florida and finally found it with Coan Eye Care. Everyone from the receptionist at the front to the optometrist and nurses and doctors took their time to explain what they were doing, it was such a great thorough examination. They have frames that dont suck and are reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend!
