Ive never had such a terrible experience at a doctors office. It is apparently the norm for a regular eye exam appointment to take 2-3 hours. You are first rudely greeted by the office staff, if at all. You then sit in the tiny waiting room with 6 other patients waiting to see the doctor (all with appointments as well) and complete paperwork. Its then a 15-30 minute wait to have your routine tests done by an assistant. Then back to the waiting room for 30-60 minutes to wait for the doctor. She is rude, brief, and doesnt explain very much. She dilated my eyes without even telling me anything and then sent me into the waiting room to wait for another 30 minutes before she saw me again. I came in with a problem with far vision in my left eye. She didnt even let me finish explaining the problem. She just gave me some eye drops and told me to use those. When finishing the exam, she recommend that I get glasses to help with my close up reading vision. I asked her if they were reading glasses or prescription glasses and what they were for and she ignored me, saying that I just need to go out to the lobby, pick out glasses, and the lady out there would know. Turns out they were expensive prescription glasses. I chose not to get them and the staff was rude about it. Again - I had a problem with far distance vision and she prescribed expensive reading glasses to me. The drops she gave me for the far distance problem havent helped at all. I spoke to my insurance provider and they are allowing me to go to another doctor free of charge because I had such a horrible experience with Dr. Grand. If you choose to go here, be prepared for unhelpful, rude staff and several hours of wasted time. Pros:Location Cons:Very rude, extremely long waiting, poor service

I assumed that since this office is located in a very nice area, the people would be friendly, the service would be courteous, and the staff would be helpful. I was wrong on all accounts. I had to call nearly 10 times to speak with someone, only to have the woman (rudely) tell me that my insurance "isnt real". She didnt even offer to call the provider number to confirm her assertion. I called my provider (BCBS) who confirmed that everything was correct on my end, and they made a mistake. The Blue Cross rep tried to call several times, and I tried to three-way them into the conversation as well but they just didnt answer the phone any longer. These are regular business hours (11am-1:30pm) and as many times as I had called, I only got through once? Horrible, horrible, horrible service. Please do better. UPDATE: I had tried my call again after typing this and the IVR switched to a "We are at lunch" message. Well what were they doing the entire morning? They certainly werent assisting clients. If anyone is interested and also has BCBS insurance, here is the information for the eye care center that I ended up going to instead in case that helps you too: Eyeglass World 104 West Vine St Suite C Kissimmee, FL 34741 These people ended up being really great. Oscar actually called my insurance with me on three-way and we finally got the answers we needed to proceed, and then he assisted me with choosing glasses great glasses and even gave me a discount. I would much rather work with them than the rude people at this location.

Ive been going here for years and Im finally moving to another practice after this time... Dr Margaret Grand herself is quite professional. Her front desk staff and optical staff are horrendous. They only have very expensive glasses... after my insurance Im paying more that $300 for my glasses. I was told I had to pay for them in advance for them to put an order in... I was also told my glasses would be in in 10 to 12 days. I called at 12 days and was told that they were not in yet and that they would contact me. I got a "dont call us we will call you" attitude with no explanation why. I just called at day 19 and had to leave a voicemail because NO ONE EVER PICKS UP THE PHONE!! The woman at the front desk is rude and pushy and argued with me about spending more for my contacts. She wanted me to get a years supply for $600 and I had already spent over $300 for glasses... who can afford over $900 out of pocket for optical supplies?!? as soon as I get my glasses Im researching other optomitrists and hopefully never have to come back. At these prices there is absolutely no excuse for the crappy treatment and service you receive. Look elsewhere.

Ive being seen Dr Grand for several years now and have had only great experiences with her. Her staff is friendly and knowledgable. Getting a good pair of eyeglasses with the proper prescription requires a good rapport between the Dr and patient, and Ive always felt comfortable with Dr. Grand. They are knowledgable about Disney insurance, which is great with the constantly shifting landscape of what they pay.. Ive always had good luck with my end product, and several times they have had the labs remake lense and replace frames that were not completely to my liking. I am not a lifelong glasses wearer, so my first year of full time wear I was VERY HARD on my glasses, and every time I sat on them or did something else stupid to the, the staff rebuilt them for me. Ive had several eye infections over the years and Dr. Grand and her staff went out of their way to work me in each day for checkups and med changes. They are NOT a discount eyeglasses store, and you dont get your glasses in an hour. They ARE a full service office with a real commitment to their clients, with knowledgable staff and a great selection of frames and contact lenses.

I scheduled an appointment last week for 11 a.m. and I am positive it was for this eye care provider as they were the first to pop up in proximity to me. When I arrived, they treated me like an idiot and said the appointment was never made and kept questioning me on whether it was the other eye doctor in town. After I was tired of hearing from them I finally did leave to the other eye doctor in town and actually setup an appointment with a very helpful staff. The staff at Celebration Eye Care couldve said, "It appears there was a mistake setting the appointment, Im sorry, is there any way we can setup another date?" Had that happened I wouldve been totally understanding and set another time. Instead, they were so rude, I said "Ok," and walked away. I would absolutely not recommend this eye clinic.

Very disappointed... I waited 2+ hours for my glasses & contacts exam. After the exam, I picked out glasses -- which I chose specifically because they carried a year warranty. I also asked for a copy of my glasses & contacts prescriptions, so I could purchase sunglasses and contacts at a later date. The paint on the glasses I bought started chipping within a week -- when I tried to return them, I was told I could pay an additional $25 to use the warranty. What a joke. Then, when I tried to use the contacts prescription at Walmart, I was told that such a prescription is impossible. The optician at Walmart had to call Celebration Eye Care to get my correct prescription, since it was "written down wrong" on the copy they gave me. Same deal with glasses. All in all, I wont ever go back.
