Imagine yourself at a late afternoon movie. The previews are over and you decide to delve into the ridiculously expensive snacks you purchased at the concession stand -- specifically, milk duds. You pop one piece and begin to chew, but then, with the release of your jaw...a ten year-old filling in one of your back molars comes free! The pain is excruciating and you need help immediately. Enter, Dr. Martinez and his staff at Southpoint Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. From the reception staff to the treatment room, the staff was helpful and compassionate -- a rare find considering that by the time I got there, it was 4:30 PM -- and did I mention this happened on a FRIDAY? Kristen, the practice manager, worked to fit me in to the doctors schedule. The front desk staff was expecting me when I got there. Sasha, the assistant in the treatment room, was fabulous and helped to keep me calm -- a difficult task since, lets be honest, who enjoys emegency dental procedures? -- not me! Dr. Martinez was extremely kind and gentle. Oddly, I cant wait to go back for my follow-up appointment in two weeks. Seriously, its true. The office is beautiful and conveniently located -- although I would drive anywhere to get to Dr. Martinez at this point. It is hard to find a good dentist, especially one with a staff as great as his. If you need a dentist, call them. You wont be disappointed.

I would not recommend him to anyone !!!! I went in for an exam He said he needs to pull a tooth And then do a crown extension on 2 teeth so he could put a bridge on so he says here is what you will have to pay if the insurance company pays .I tell them wait until they get the reply from the insurance company so he says well I can redo a crown right now when I had more serious issues with my teeth (was unemployed no dentist in 2 years)So I go to Dr Karol he does an exam and says the tooth does not need to be pulled just do a crown extension then put on a crown do you people understand he could have done the crown extension and save a tooth rather than pull it and put a bridge on .Then his office has the nerve to call me 6 months later saying they were ready to do the dental work they had told me it would only take 2 weeks to hear yes or no from the insurance company yet they call me 6 months later when all the work is done. I tell them I don’t want anything to do with him so again 6 months later they send me a letter so I send it back then they call me asking for my information I said no I am through with a dentist that only cares about his money

I love Mr. Martinez and his staff!!! Everyone is so awesome here! I am very proud of my teeth, and demand perfection. Before Dr. Martinez I was the biggest, the BIGGEST chicken ever. I ALWAYS had to have nitrous and pills to calm my nerves, and I saw good dentists. However, Dr. Martinez is SOOOOO good at what he does, and can calm you down, (and his staff will hold your hand while he gives you a shot).....that I dont need the nitrous or pills anymore! He is an expert at what he does. After a procedure, you dont go around all day drooling....because he knows how much it takes to numb you and make you comfortable....I need extra to numb me, and he is so good, I have never felt any pain, and hes so concerned about that, he asks you and actually cares that you dont feel any pain during and after the appointment!! As you can tell, I am a FAN!! Also, the office is the cleanest youll EVER come across. All you perfectionists who are chickens in the world....Dr. Martinez and his fantastic staff is for you!!!

My 2cents

I cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Martinez and his office manager Kierston. Unfortunately, I had to leave Jacksonville and can no longer go to him. I went to Dr. Martinez for at least the last 5 yrs and had extensive work completed. When I moved, I had to find a new dentist. Well I went to my appointment yesterday and I cant tell you how many times that dentist said you have had very nice work done. Dr Martinez assistants are also top notch and make sure everything fits properly. Kierston....ahhh poor Kierston she has to deal with insurance companies daily. She made sure she submitted my claims multiple times if need be. Also, she worked with me on estimates and payments. Stop looking this is the best dentist in Jax.

Not only has Dr. Martinez helped me out of my fear of dentists, which this review is LONG overdue for, but the office was able to see my adult son on an emergency basis to remove a wisdom tooth that was the source of extreme pain for him. I used to fear the dentist, but now have no issues knowing the staff and dentist are going to ensure that I am comfortable throughout any procedure. Thank you!

OUTSTANDING in every aspect is the "hallmark" of Dr Martinez office, and I cannot praise him and his staff too highly. Dr Martinez has earned both my respect and my friendship over the nearly 10 years since I moved to Jville. If you search high n low, you -might- find his equal .... but theres no way that youll find superior care anywhere else.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Martinez since 2009 and I wouldnt even consider going to another dentist. My entire family are his patients...weve even traveled from states away to come back to him! His entire office staff is so helpful and pleasant and friendly all the time. It is truly a pleasure going to the dentist now - he is the best there is!!

My 5 yr old absolutely LOVED her first visit. She even asked to have her picture taken with her hygienist. Great staff! From the front door to the back. The office is so clean and they make you so comfortable. Myself and my 17 year old have all of our dental work completed here too. I HIGHLY recommend Martinez Dental Solutions.
