For the past year, BrightStar has provided live-in, as well as hourly care, for my husband, who suffered a traumatic brain injury. I am required to be away from home for extended periods of time due to my work schedule, and they have never failed to accommodate my needs, even on short notice. My husband is a challenging case due to his psychiatric problems, and the agency has been extremely proactive in screening health care aides who are compatible, and able to meet his needs, while giving him the space he needs to function without agitation. Recently he was involved in a situation which required immediate assistance from the agency, as well as the local police. The owners, and their entire office, got involved, de-escalated the situation, and ended up with a positive result for us all. Without going into all the details, suffice it to say that this was the nightmare scenario that everyone fears might happen to their loved one. The consequences are generally not good, and can possibly lead to an involuntary psychiatric committal. I attribute my own peace of mind to the attentiveness of the agency, and am truly grateful to be able to entrust my husbands care to them.

I was very disappointed in this company upon hiring them to help care for my 91 year old grandfather. I had to in detail explain my expectations; to which would include making sure he had ice water, taking a walk with him (in his wheelchair) outside to the mailbox everyday. There was absolutely zero consistency to the schedule of the aides, a new one came every day. The very last straw of terminating the relationship with this company was a complete no-show. Myself nor my grandfather was contacted by a supervisor, anyone from the company, or an aide saying that an aide was coming that day. My grandfather went without eating that day. If quality, consistent care is what you want, look elsewhere.

DIane and Jack Nicol and their great team of care providers show up on time and provide the best care for your family member. It means so much to have that burden eased off of the entire family. Knowing that BrightStar has the highest level of accreditation/licensure and that an extensive background check on the care providers has been executed provides an additional level of comfort. I highly recommend Diane and Jack and their BrightStar Team...they truly care about your loved one.
