I think some women have reservations about seeing a male ob/gyn, in my experience male physicians make me feel more comfortable. With him I’m not getting scolded for my contraceptive choices or lack of family planning. He gives information based on literature and experiences he’s had in practice, the key word is information, not advice. He gives the information then allows patients to make their own decisions. As a young healthy woman a gynecologist is sometimes the only doctor you’ll see all year, so it important to make a wise choice. I actually joined yelp several years ago just to give my previous female ob/gyn a bad review. I did that because it shouldn’t be easier to figure out which restaurant has a better salad, than which doctor has a better practice. If I wasn’t a health care professional myself, maybe I wouldn’t have realized her advice was given on personal opinions, not facts. Finding a knowledgeable and compassionate physician is important for everyone. I started seeing Dr Norris several years ago when he was working at UM, that office was terrible, but I didn’t care because my health (and a competent physician) was worth a long wait. Now that he has his own office in Miami Beach I don’t have to worry about long waits, you’re seen right away, they reply to refill requests, and always follow through on questions. Here you don’t have to sacrifice your care for service or vice versa.

Dr Norris treats my wife and 3 daughters. He has handled everything from their birth to their health checkups. His service is prompt professional courteous and friendly. I have recommended my sister and nieces to him and his staff. Cant go wrong.
