I am only giving him 1 star because I cant give him 0 stars. My story is extremely long but hang in there it would help out a lot so you can avoid this HORRIBLE office. This is not a review about him doing a bad job on my procedure this is about how his staff treated me and the scam they are trying to pull over their patients. On Friday October 23rd, 2015 I had to remove some cyst in my ovaries. I did not have a primary OBGYN so Broward Health North called in Dr. Chatoor Singh to do the procedure. Anyways, I was released to go on bed rest on Monday. About 2 days after being home I needed extra paperwork from him for my job to approve my month out of work. The ladies at his office were giving me a hard time because I was not a patient at his office. After several conversations with the ladies they finally told me to come to the office and I can pay a fee and the doctor can sign off on the extra paper work I needed. I got there and they claim the doctor was not there even though patients were still going back there to see him. Make a long story short, they eventually kicked me and my cousins (who brought me there) out of the office because I demanded to see the doctor since I already had waited about 2 hours for him. I called my job and explained what happen and they told me not to worry about it and I left the office and that was it until January 3rd. On the 3rd week of January 2016, I received a bill from Dr. Singh in the amount of $814.32. When I reviewed my bill, I immediately called UHC (United Health Care) Customer Service to understand why the $700 amount was not covered or at least at a discount rate. I was informed by a UHC customer service representative that the code used for the amount was a “generic code” that is incorrect and, therefore, does not exist. I was also informed that UHC mailed a letter to Dr. Singh’s office stating that he needed to correct the mistake in order to reprocess this claim properly. Upon receiving this information, I called Dr. Singh’s office after hours and I managed to speak with him regarding this claim. In that conversation, Dr. Singh told me that he did not know which code to use because he did not know the new code. I informed Dr. Singh that UHC would mail him a letter stating that the code he was using was indeed a generic and incorrect code thus he needed to use the correct code. Moreover, Dr. Singh assured me that he would have “the girls at the office handle that.” I was under the impression that this situation regarding this claim was handled; however, it was not. On March 1st, 2016, I received a call from a debt collector stating that Dr. Singh sent my bill to their collection agency and that I had only “30 days to pay the full amount” or they will report me to the credit bureau. After countless of phones calls between my self and my health insurance and Dr. Singh office, they finally reprocessed the claim. After all this it’s January 4th, 2017 I am still in collection and Dr. Singh refuse to admit that my health insurance paid him so I can be removed from collections. Please unless you are DYING stay away from this doctor and his office.

Terrible unprofessional staff!! Especially the receptionist Clara. I called to make an appointment and Dr. Singh answered and told me to come in the next day at 3:30 but to call in the morning to give my insurance info to Clara. Well i called and Clara told me that they will not see me because after 3 they do not take patients that have insurance only self pay patients and the doctor doesnt know how to schedule. I explained to her that i had to take off work and also change an appointment i had for my 4 month old to make this appointment and if an exception can be made since the Dr. Told me to come. She then said i dont have time to argue do you want to come in and pay or do you want to come in another day with your insurance. I took an appointment dor a later day so i can use my insurance. She calls back and says i have to pay out of pocket anyways because i have a $1500 deductible. This is the first ive heard this so i promptly got on the phone with my insurance company who confirmed that i should only be paying a $35 copay since they are an in network OB/GYN the insurance rep even went as far as to call Singhs office and explain this to her with me on the line listening. After thr phone call ended I called the office back and spoke to Clara again and she told me that she doesnt care what the insurance rep says. If i want to be seen by the doctor then i have to pay out of pocket $150 the full cost for the visit and she was still going to bill my insurance. She tried to double charge me for a simple visit and was extremely unprofessional about the whole situation. It seems as if she does not know what she is doing and when i said i saw a review online from a customer who you tried to do the same thing to she hung up the phone on me. This practice should not be open and patients beware they will try to rip you off!!! I will never ever go to this office!

Before I called, I checked the reviews on google and was not pleased at all! But I decided to give it a chance since Dr. Singh was the closest obgyn in my area that my insurance covered and I figured oh he cant be that bad as people are saying. Well this is how our phone convo went.. When I called he answered by saying Hi ( Not hi this is Dr so and so ) Then I asked him is he was Dr. Singh, all he said was yes. ( VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) and after that I informed him that I was at my primary Dr 2 weeks ago and I was 6 weeks pregnant then. She told me to go to my gyno when I was 8 weeks. And his resonce was "so what do you what mam?". First of all I was taken back by this because one YOU are the doctor and you should know what the proper steps are, for example: "Ok mam now we can schedule your first prenantal visit and answer any questions you mighy have" but he didnt do that. So I proceeded in telling him that I needed an appointment, then he asked me what insurance I have, I said one moment let me get my wallet my insurance card is in the wallet please ( I was in my bedroom walking to the livingroom) before I even reached the livingroom I heard him let out a breath and hang up the phone. What kind of Doctor is this? Seemed like he does not even want to be a Doctor. Very annoyed and bothered from it by the way he speaks. So unprofessional! I would rather drive in the middle of rush hour from Fort lauderdale to Miami to go to my other obgyn than this doctor. I have never seen such an unprofessional doctor as this one. If I could post 0 stars I would.
