Very disappointed!! I have been coming to Beach Vision for a few years now. Love the doctor and the service. However, I wanted to switch contacts and try out a different pair; I wanted to get the monthly lenses instead of the daily lenses. I asked for the monthly contacts for trial, absolutely loved them, they worked wonderfully. When I asked them to please order them for me, I was told that I need to come back in for a $35 fitting because it is a different brand. When she insisted that I "must" be seen before they could order I asked her to please send me my prescription. She said they only send the script for that brand it is not a general script. My radius is common, nothing crazy or strange, contacts are universal that way. I phoned several other optometrist to see if this is the normal procedure ( I called 5 different places in all); none of them make you come in for another fitting and fee, if you want to change brands of contact or order a pair just for fun (like Halloween) there was no additional charges or fees. I find this to be a manipulative tool in order to extract more money from me. So not only would I have lost time from work to accomadate this I would also have to pay the $35 dollars to be fitted and the script then would "only" be for that brand now. I never was told of this policy and feel that they are holding my prescription hostage (by writing on it for Acuvue Oasys Only) unless I pay a fee. BEWARE!! I love them but I will take my business somewhere else. I do not like to be exploited!!
