Wish I could give them less than one star. Staff and doctor were both rude and unprofessional. Took my two sons there for eye exams and my older son for contact fitting. Doctor was told that my son still had plenty of contacts which the doctor relayed to me upon completing his exam. Went back for my younger childs exam and all was fine. When I went to the front to pay my bill I was told by the receptionist that we would soon be loosing some of our benefits and that I could order contacts for $28 dollars. This was on my wife insurance and I did not know anything else so I ordered the three boxes of contacts. When I left I was discussing with my wife and she informed me that he should have had his entire years worth of benefits for contacts approximately $200 annually. So I went back to the office the following morning and was told that the the three boxes and the contact fitting used up the entire benefits and the additional $28 dollars plus an additional $8 and some change I was billed. Since he had contacts and had until the end of the year to use I didnt see paying the inflated prices they charged for contacts which was over twice per box listed online. I asked her to cancel and was told she couldnt cancel since they would be in that day and she would call me. Didnt receive call that day or the following, went to the office to discuss with the doctor and was told to place my name on the list, since the doctor was busy. I did so and took a seat. After waiting about 15 min the receptionist said that the doctor would not be able to see me because he was busy. While standing at the counter the doctor walked up to me and said that he was told I wanted to see him, as I attempted to explain that I wanted to cancel the contact order two days earlier and was told I could not because they were to arrive that day and that his receptionist was rude he kept cutting me off and accused me of being aggressive. The told me he didnt have time for this he was busy with patients and if I wanted to discuss with him I needed to make an appointment. I told him I had placed my name on the list and was patiently waiting but he instigated the conversation and then proceeded to insult me and accuse me of being hostile before telling me to leave his business. I have never seen such poor customer service and unprofessional conduct. First to mislead treat customers in such a manner. Glad I got my childs prescription and will never use this place again. Run for cover if using this location!!!!!!!

The office staff was very nice and polite. My eight year olds exam was great and we were impressed with the doctor. However, we had serious issues getting our sons glasses after we ordered them. First of all, I believe they way overcharged for the glasses (and we had insurance so that should have helped). The selection for boys was slim to none, but we had picked everything out before we realized it was going to cost $150. Oh well, the kid needed glasses and we didnt want to go through all that again. Anyway, here we are four weeks later and the glasses still havent come in and he starts schools soon. What a disappointment having to call them and track down these glasses. Just for reference, my son has been wearing glasses for four and half years, his eye sight is terrible and weve been to several doctors and specialists. This is not our first rodeo (although we moved here recently) so PLEASE listen when I say take your prescription and get your glasses somewhere else! Another note, we had an appointment right after school got out that they rescheduled for two weeks later. Wouldnt have been a huge deal except now here we are six weeks after our original appointment with no glasses.

These people are unprofessional and inept in their billing and customer service side. Earlier this year, we only purchased contacts for my wife. We didnt do an exam or fitting. It turns out, when they ran the contact benefit on my insurance, they killed off the "contact fitting" benefit from our insurance. About a week ago, they called my wife to let her know its time for her eye appointment, which was accurate. They also mentioned on the phone call what we already know, that she used her actual contact benefit, but not the exam. Today was her appointment and they did the entire process. As she was leaving, she expected to pay her $40 copay when, surprise, they were charging her the full price. They completely failed to disclose the pricing upfront to us and lied to my wife regarding what happened. My wife happens to have extensive experience in insurance billing so to talk to her in the manner they did, was even more unprofessional. Until they make this right, I will ensure as many people know about this experience and never trust this company.

It is amazing that there are so many inaccurate and hostile online trolls that attack quality physicians to meet the patients ocular needs on a daily basis. Must be some type of Male inferiority complex in the business world to attack the phyicians and the establishment alone! The physicians down to the optical staff and insurance billers are well informed to cater the patients needs. I would challenge the prior online trolls as Mr. Laboy & Williams to go get a degree and be educated enough to resolve their differences here instead of attacking an innocent practice! From the quality care, to the optical needs, the physicians and staff were there to meet my needs as a diabetic patient. Never was there an issue that could never be close enough to try to damage the business reputation of Great people at The Eye Care Professionals of Tampa Bay.

I had been searching for a place to have my sons eye exam completed and had been told by many offices because he was only 4 years old they were unable to see him. Not only did Dr.Sterling complete my sons exam she made it seem effortless and he was totally comfortable. He really enjoyed his visit and I would definitely recommend her. From the front office staff to the Dr. herself all very courteous and friendly I couldnt have asked for a better experience. My son was nervous about going to the eye doctor for the first time now he cant wait until his next appointment. To Dr.Sterling and her team thank you for making us feel so welcome we will be looking forward to our future appointments.

My experience at the Eye Care Professionals, Lutz location has been one of the most disappointing eye visits. Initially, I was impressed with how nice everyone was, then I was charged more than Ive ever paid for half of the services and supplies. This was after my vision insurance. I have called multiple times to discuss these charges and been placed on hold for 15+minutes each time while they locate my file. Very disorganized system even if they do the old way of file cabinets. Apparently based on the information provided so far, they doubled the price on a 6 month supply of contacts. I made a bad choice going with this business and will not be back.

MR. LABOY, you did this before to another Physicians establishment. My how your history repeats itself! You have a "Choice" in the decisions you make to resolve issues with the office over a $28.00 INSURANCE loop hole that the insurance co. admitted since August. Instead, your choice is to slander the office and the physicians behind it. MR. WILLIAMS. . .Decisions to INDECISIONS, as an adult you made the decision under plan to purchase contacts. Obviously, you are not adult enough to come back without making a scene at the Doctor and staff here. Your INSURANCE was notified as well as your wife that your not to return only in a different vehicle.
