I could not be happier with Dr. Nate and his staff! In late 2014, I had had enough of my sons fidgeting, covering his eye, and tilting his head when we were doing school work. I finally jumped on google to see if anyone else had experienced this with their child and, my goodness, I discovered he probably had a vision issue. I saw that people were taking their kids to vision therapists with good results, but I must admit that I was quite skeptical of it. I did lots of research and then found Dr. Nate. His website was extremely informative and gave me the confidence that he might be the Dr to take my son to. After what I would describe as an eye "stress test," Dr. Nate let us know that our son had significant problems in 2 areas of vision, but that they were correctible with vision therapy. He explained what he was seeing as a clinician, and then explained what he would expect us to be seeing at home. What he said was exactly what we were experiencing with my son so we went ahead with the therapy. We are a homeschooling family so I work one on one with him a lot, but I NEVER would have been able to tell you what his vision problems were. All I could see were the coping mechanisms he was using to try to see his work. We just finished his therapy today, after going once a week for 6 moths, and I literally teared up at his final evaluation today. His skills were so much better than when we began. He no longer tilts his head or covers his eye when he reads, and he doesnt become physically fatigued. It has even helped with his dyslexia! Miss Jade, his vision therapist, was very kind and worked well with my sons difficulty in staying still. The office staff were incredibly kind and polite and the waiting room was great for my younger daughter who tagged along. Dr. Nate loves Legos! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this office to a friend. In fact, I do it all the time!

I cant thank Dr. Nate and his team enough! Through Bright Eyes vision therapy, I have seen 3D for the first time in my life. I can now read books(before they had to be scanned and read to me) and work on the computer all day. I have been to many ophthalmologists and optometrists over the years and Dr. Nate is top notch. He is one of the few doctors who has actually been able to treat my vision problems(strabismus). My vision is actually getting better as an adult! Through his work, he has able to reduce my prescription strength and he has included a prism in my prescription that keeps my eyes more aligned through the day. With the prism, I can see 3D more of the time. Through vision therapy, we are hoping to reduce the prism strength overtime as well. If you are questioning whether or not to try vision therapy, I say give it a shot with Dr. Nate. I had two unsuccessful eye operations as a child and thought there was nothing I could do except get a job that requires me not to use my eyes. Vision therapy have improved my quality of life ten-fold and I now feel capable of pursuing any career of my dreams.

6 years back: My first son had a very disturbing issue with both eyes due to very high iphone usage -- staring at the phone at a short distance for long time. A couple of Eye Docs in town later -- one of them being a very renowned long-timer -- we were left with no option but to put my 3 year old on glasses which we didnt want to. The only other option was to see another doctor. God sent us to Dr Nate. And long story short, my kid was good within two months and today has grown up to be a 9-year-old who never put on glasses. All praise to God, and thanks Dr. Nate. Last month, we visited Dr Nate again, this time for my second kid for a different kind of issue in his left eye. Still awesome and humble and unlike other docs, Dr Nate helped us out with his out-of-the-box diagnosis and my kid was not given unnecessary medications. Very few doctors like him are gifted by God, the remaining just fill in the gap!

Bright Eyes Kids was blessing to my family. My daughter has struggled with her vision since she was a toddler. Once finally being diagnosed with Amblyopia we used Bright Eyes Kids for vision therapy. The therapy greatly help strengthen her eyes and stamina while focusing. A staff member even accompanied our meeting at the school to provide expertise and support for our 504 interview. Dr. Nate recommended a specialized lens and my daughter can see nearly 20/20 for the first time in her life. I trust Bright Eyes Kids for the continued treatment of my daughter!

The best place for every child. I love it here! Quick service. Awesome friendly and knowledgeable staff! My kids love the eye doctor. They were scared at first but the ophthalmologist was very very comforting and in tune. We will definantly be coming back. I recommend completly.

Dr Nate provides excellent care to his young patients. He and his staff create a welcoming environment and make the visit as comfortable as possible for kids. They do a nice job fitting children for glasses if you choose to fill a glasses prescription onsite.

They have Saturday appointments available in New Tampa, fast, super friendly and Dr Nate was great with my 6 year old and conducted a complete exam. The frame selection was ok but she found a pair she really liked and my vision insurance was accepted!
