My husband and I had our eye exams done elsewhere and only went to Hendersonville Eye Care because they had a better selection of glasses. The ladies at the front desk were all exceptionally polite, however the young lady who assisted us with selecting our glasses (in addition to being arrogant and rude to us) lied and said that we HAD to pay extra for Polycarbonate Lenses. Every year I buy glasses and always go through this same sales tactic. I KNOW that I dont HAVE to buy polycarbonate lenses and when we questioned her insistence, she got very defensive and concocted some bogus story that the FDA requires by law all glasses must be polycarbonate to prevent eye injury in the event of an accident. Sounded like BS to us, but we reluctantly agreed to pay it because our insurance benefits were about to expire and we had to get glasses before the end of the year. Later did some research and confirmed exactly what we thought. There is NO LAW or mandated requirement for polycarbonate glasses, she was flat out lying to upsell us. I will never go back to Hendersonville Eye Care because of her.

I had not had an eye doctor appointment for five years and was beginning to worry my eyes were not up to snuff. Being new in town it is hard to figure out whose recommendation is the best. I was impressed beyond belief from the moment I called to make an appointment to walking out after the visit. Not only was my exam extensive, it was affordable and my eyes now feel like they have a guardian angel watching after them. The state of the art equipment, and the knowledge of the staff and the doctors was exceptional. The good news is my eye sight is still pretty great and I just need to eat more green leafy veggies, take my vitamins and wear my sunglasses....and a few readers for the various things I do. I never felt so happy leaving an eye appointment before.

Make sure you know your insurance benefits. My son waited 2 months for his contact lens exam and then gets there and they dont even do it. They tried to charge $125 for what they told my husband was to show him how to put them on and that they had them in stock, but hed have to come back? WHAT? I called and spoke with Christy who was very sweet and not rude like the one who answered the phone and she correctly pulled our benefits and found out we only owe $60 for the fitting exam. Just be sure youre educated in your insurance coverage before you go. Doctors are nice and remodel looks good but train your staff please. Was going to give a 1 star but Christys willingness to help and understand pushed it up one.

Hendersonville Eye care is an office visit I look forward to, The staff is always so friendly and kind, very Helpful with any questions I may have.. And Dr. Kilgo is who I have been going to for several years, he always has a smile on his face, makes you feel like you belong and is kind friendly and always ready to answer any questions I may throw at him. Dr Cannon, is also kind and very friendly...I have not had the pleasure to meet Dr. Denton, But I hear she is just as wonderful.. to be in such a wonderful clean caring office is an Honor... thank you staff and Doctors.. I would rate Hendersonville Eye Care as a definite place for your eye care and eyeglass needs. Dr. Kilgo is wonderful and very caring. The staff is very nice and HAPPY. I have never seen a happier staff so that tells me it is a good place to work. They are very helpful in picking out your eye wear and will fix and adjust your glasses when needed , even the ones you did not buy from them. I am very pleased with their service and my husband who went for his first time was as well. Looking forward to getting our new eyeglasses, always a good selection.

Dr. Cannon and his staff are expert in their professional knowledge, and uncommonly courteous and thorough in their work with patients. They answer questions with skill and coordinate in an exemplary manner with surgical eye specialists in the Hendersonville-Asheville area. My wife and I have used their office for more than twenty years and cannot imagine a change to another provider. Our wish is for the ongoing quality of the practice, and that they continue in good health as long as we need their skills . . . and longer.

Having had a detached retina a number of years ago, I am very protective of my eyes and particular about who I go to for examinations. I could not be more satisfied with the thoroughness and knowledge of Dr. Kilgo, or more delighted by the selection of eyewear they carry. And if that were not enough to recommend Hendersonville Eye Care, you will not find a more pleasant, polite, or considerate group of people anywhere. Bar none. Youre wasting your time looking for more caring professionals than you will find here.

Dr. Cannon has been handling my eye care needs for over 20 years. I wouldnt see anyone else, even if you paid me to go there. Dr. Cannon and his staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is having eye problems.
