Im reviewing this animal hospital because DR. CINDY CAUSED MY 5 YEAR OLD DOG TO PERMANENTLY LOSE HER HEARING! She had me give her Biosol, It was banned in Canada for use in animals, which I found out too late. And, MY DOG NEVER NEEDED IT. Dr. Cindy diagnosed my 4 year old dog with a liver insufficiency. She prescribed special food and Biosol 3 times a day. She said plenty of dogs are on it for their whole lives and that it was safe. After a year, I noticed my dog couldnt hear. I took her to Animal Hospital of Ft. Lauderdale and saw Dr. Jones. I asked her if the Biosol could have caused this and she said "no". So, I kept giving it to my dog. A couple of weeks later, I took my dog to Dr. Larry Dee at Hollywood Animal Hospital. He said to stop giving her the Biosol because it could have caused the deafness. I stopped giving it to her and her liver has been fine. So, the medicine was never needed! I later took my dog back to Dr. Cindy. I told her what happened and she said RISK VERSUS BENEFIT! I couldnt believe it! There was NO BENEFIT and GREAT RISK! She had not told me it was risky and didnt show any compassion. Now my dog doesnt know when i come home, doesnt wag her tail when I talk to her, doesnt tilt her head when I talk to her, doesnt hear the commands and words she knew, doesnt hear "good girl" or "I love you". She doesnt know when someone is at the door or when someone is talking to her. This is the way it will be for the rest of her life. If you ever hear the vets there say your dog has a liver problem, run out the door. On a positive note, the women who work at the desk are terrific. Theyre knowledgeable, kind, friendly and helpful.

Not only is Dr. Cindi Bossart Veterinarian Extraordinaire she is also an exceptional human being. We just love her!!! She exemplifies the perfect balance between veterinary knowledge and clinical acumen, sensitivity and firmness, commitment and devotion. There for us through thick and thin, she is a formidable fount of knowledge. I was introduced to her in 2009 by the handler of my 6 champion CKCS and drive 90 minutes each way so that these beautiful babies can be in her amazing hands. Look no further, because no one holds a candle to the very special Dr. Cindi. Multi-talented Andrea Flora is both a highly capable Practice Manager and a super Veterinary Technician. A special asset to the practice she too has been looking after my dogs forever! We just love her!! She is always there for us. She goes out of her way to be extra helpful and never tires facilitating our many requests. What can I say about the front desk staff...Becky is fantastic, Marisa is wonderful, Atty is awesome, Jill is great, and Andrea is terrific!! I could not have managed my 6 precious Cavaliers the way I have without the abiding support of the very special AHOFL family.

I have been going here with both my dogs for years. Both of my dogs died here because they were mis diagnosed. Both had gotten gravely ill from tumors while they were treated for everything else. My corgi had diarrhea was given meds galore and a large can of dog food. i discovered him the next morning on his back vomiting. My poodle was given numerous drugs and steroids for a cough I had to rush her to a overnight emergency clinic because she couldnt breath. She was on her death bed when I rushed her to Ft laud animal hospital the next morning. Here they did more invasive tests on her while she suffered . A tumor was then discovered on her liver….we put her down. Her suffering at the hands of THis hospital was inexcusable. I have spent thousands of dollars for ……pain . Too many drugs prescribed and no real knowledge administered. I also returned a flea medication purchased here as it looked decayed upon opening. They refused to give me a new supply to replace it as the expiration date on the box was good for another year. Oh yes …...I kid you not. Im taking my new dog somewhere else. My one star was generous and over rated

The vet wasnt HORRIBLE, but the place is entirely poorly managed (and somewhat old and unclean). I spent an hour waiting, only to talk to the vet for 15 minutes. Most of the time she wouldnt listen and just kept talking, but I was stunned when she said she was going to go check on the name of a medication....and never returned! After 10 minutes I went to the front counter only to find out that she was in with another patient! I told them I had to leave, as I had another appointment in 4 minutes. Thanks to them, my next appointment was cancelled because I was 5 minutes late. It was clear that they didnt care about me or my time, so it made me question how much they would really care about my pet. It was obvious to me that they are just after the money. They charged me 50 bucks for this quality time. Please dont waste your money or time like I did. You can most definitely find better care for your pet elsewhere.

My animals and I have been clients of Animal Hospital of Ft. Lauderdale for over 20 years. We travel 30 minutes on a good day and 45+ minutes on a busy day but it wouldnt matter how long it took us to get there. When you have the BEST veterinary office available distance doesnt matter!! The drs. staff and technicians are very knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and caring people! They are involved in the community and schools especially with Career Day! My dog, Payson is 11 years old. He has received the BEST care possible and is a very happy and healthy collie. He wants me to add a few things. First, he loves when Dr Cindi comes in the room and gets on the floor to examine and makes over him. He always feels very special when he leaves Animal Hospital of Ft Lauderdale! Definitely a FIVE STAR +++ This review was given 5 stars but only 2 stars appear!!

I have been bringing my dog (Milly) to the Animal Hospital Fort Lauderdale for over 12 years and have always had outstanding service and excellent veterinary care. Dr. Jones is an superb doctor, knowledgable, personable, and empathetic. She is attentive, a good listener, and great at handling animals. During the terminal illness of Millys litter mate she was wonderful. Her availability, patience, and care made a very sad and distressing period for us, less difficult and it really showed her as a compassionate and caring professional. Finally, her office works; calls are returned, appointments are honored, and emergency requests are never dismissed. As a medical doctor, I wish that in my profession we could could come close to the service and professional care extended by both her and her staff.

Hula (3) and Django (2) have been going to AHOFL since they were puppies. They love Dr. Jones and the entire staff. Everyone is always so happy to see them, and give them kisses and scratches and treats whenever we come for a visit. The care theyve received has been excellent, and they make Mommys life easier by filing my Pet Insurance claims for me. I especially love that they have late hours and are open on Saturdays. They always fit us in when Django has gotten into something he shouldnt, and the other docs are wonderful also, when Dr. Jones is booked or on vacation. Ive recommended this office to friends who are also pleased. Its never fun taking your fur babies to the vet, but I know my boys are in good hands with Dr. Jones and her staff!
