Oh, the problems with this location! First of all, it is NOT okay for any of your employees to EVER get on to a child! The women in window 6 yelled at my son because he was standing in a seat meanwhile three other children were doing the same thing! And I was the only one actually near my child Incase something were to happen! Second, the women in window 1 got extremely rude and accused me of just bringing in a child to get free food, all because I didnt have my sons BC or SS card with me. And the worse thing that I saw didnt even happen to me! A lady was actually accused by a nutritionist of not feeding her child! He yelled at her and told her she needed to start feeding her child. Then a bunch of employees stood out side his door laughing and making fun of the mom. Fast forward to an hour later, he actually had people stopping by his office and condoning the way he treated a mother! Absolutely ridiculous and EXTREMELY unprofessional!

I just went in today 9/1/2016. Got there 6 minutes before noon. I was there for a birth certificate so my kids can get insurance. I was told they were closing bc of the storm! Are you frigging kidding me! My kids are in school and you think you are in more dangerous then they are. If the state is so worried about the ppl printing birth/death certificates, how come you didnt close the schools? Im a single mother of four. I had $15. Birth certificates cost $13. Since they wanted to go home, I was directed to the tag office. And there i was charged $18 for the same birth certificate. Thats not right. I had to use my card to cover the extra $3, so bc I had to do that I got charged an additional $2 for that!!!! Bull crap! $20 plus gas bc you think you are more important than everyone else who had to work and go to school. Ridiculous, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Was forced to go to the Marion County Health Department for an MMR shot. Waited for 25 minutes as the FIRST and ONLY patient in the Immunizations waiting room at 8:00am. Then was administered the MMR shot by a "nurse" wearing NO GLOVES. To top it off, when I went to take the band-aid off, I noticed the shot location was an inch above wear the band-aid was applied. This is the epitome of not caring about your job and solidifying the Health Department’s reputation as a trashy, run-down reflection of the U.S Healthcare system. As to be expected, but still...

This place is made for the unemployed and poor. If you have any job or get child support they make it so hard to be seen. They want proof of everything or they charge you full price. Lets get real, i can yo to a REAL doctors office and be seen if I could pay full price .they make it so hard to get birth control . Its not even worth it. Or I suggest not telling them work or get child support . Youll be seen quicker. They are so backwards.

Immunization department is ridiculously slow. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour, and they only called one person back. Only one nurse in on duty, and she must be handicapped. Youd think this place should run like clock work, but no, huge disappointment. Ill take my business to Gainesville.

The Health Department is a busy place and needs more funding but, the people care and do the best they can with what they have. Wait times are long but, they appolgize and do a great job once you see someone.
