This place needs help. !st appointment was scheduled...we show up, and somehow we were not scheduled...seems their phone/email confirmation system did not do the job..said we cancelled...so 2 weeks later, I take time off from work again. Different staff at the counter..friendlier, but Doc was a disappointment. Cant speak for other docs, but avoid Dr. Lopez if you have an issue other than common ailments. Prescribed all kinds of medications, but never sat to discuss why or proper usage. Wrote things in notes about what was discussed, when half were never discussed. Took no notes on previous medical history or even questioned what treatments were done in the past unless you take the initiative to tell him yourself...then he just seems disinterested. The clinic doesnt do any diagnostic tests such as MRI, only blood tests, and will not give a referral to a specialist..you have to find one yourself..and have them call Heart of Florida for you..also if you cant afford a test they say may be necessary...you get told to find a program yourself...good luck...no other help offered. I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor...even urgent care facilities are better than this....and in the long run would have been cheaper. Like I said...if you have a cold, or the flu, or some common problem...you will be fine if you can wait the 6 weeks it will take to see someone...but if you have a serious medical condition...spend the $120 and find a private primary doctor...at least they will recommend a specialist, and not drag you around for 3 months.

Do not go here if you have Anything else to do that day because waiting takes a day even if you have an advanced appointment. If your appointment time passes 2.5 hours ago, they get evil if you tell them you must leave. Somehow, it becomes your fault. Friendliness is not their forte. Even the 1st lady at the check-in desk has no skills in being friendly. I wouldnt have a job if I treated those around me like she treats those coming in the door. Also, if youre not sick when youre waiting, because of the ignorance of those waiting who cough, sneeze and recklessly have no sanitary habits, you will be when you leave.

I am posting this review on behalf of my husband. I am a cardiac patient. After my first heart attack I got a job and insurance. I no longer wanted to go to this facility. I lost my job and had a second heart attack. Munroe Regional set up an appointment to go back here. A woman with a Jamaican accent called me up and absolutely balled me out for finding a good doctor when I could afford one. She said next time I get insurance I should feel obligated to remain at Heart of Florida. When I got off the phone with her I checked my blood pressure. It was 140/91. This place, and its staff, stink to high heaven.

My wife and I brought our two month old son for a check up. We were 10 minutes early for an 8:20am appointment. The nurse brought us in at 8:35, and then weighed and meadured our son. Then we were told the doctor would be right in. We literally waited for an hour and a half before leaving the clip board with the secretary. I emailed the head quarters telling them I wanted to be contacted and I never was contacted. If you can go somewhere else I would. The people are nice but every time we wait for scheduled appointments. This last time was the last straw. Completely inconciderate practice...

The NP I saw was very thorough but refused to prescribe me tramadol for the pain of my congestive heart failure and chronic lymphedema. It seems there is only one Dr able to prescribe any pain medication whatsoever and you cant get an appointment with her for months and months, if at all. The staff is utterly rude. Its somewhat understandable, given what they must be subjected to from their patients but even when you try to be gracious and tolerant, they are still rude. Appointments take months to get. If I have to depend on this clinic alone, I wont survive my illness.

I came to the Health DEPT Clinic on1801 SE 32nd I am sick! . To go to another doctor would be more than I can afford, so I came to the clinic. I have the flu, cold, cough, sore throat. The lady at the clinic told me I am not a member and could not be seen? I said I am sick. She said sorry, you have to be a member, you need to go to an urgent care facility. I asked where I could locate one she said, I dont know you need to look on the internet. Not everyone has internet. She was unhelpful and I am still sick.

No body cares. At least fake it . Wait over an hour to be seen for 5 minutes. Im in the last month of my pregnancy. Constantly have head aches and get told if they get to bad go to the ER. My ankles have been extremely swollen to wear I cant curl my toes, my legs go numb. BP stays high but Ive been coming here since 25 weeks pregnant and it was high then too so they ruled out preeclampsia because there isnt any protein in my urine. Thank goodness Im almost finished!

THE WORST PLACE IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!! Ive yet to be seen, between appointments for maternity and dental theyve cancelled THREE TIMES because apparently the doctors dont think they need to come to work. For dental, I made an appt a month in a half in advance and the day off they call and have to reschedule. The next available appt is over two months away. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?! HORRIBLE!!

Ive been treated extremely rudely on several occasions, and have had my appointments canceled without so much as a phone call. Some of my visits have been alright, but the majority of terrible. The only reason I frequent it is because its convenient, but Im looking for other options.
