Originally scheduled an appointment for my two children. Verified they accepted our insurance. Rearranged mine and my husbands schedule to make the appointment. Within a few hours, a member of the office staff called back and says BCBS will not let them accept new patients. Something to the effect that the practice was certified, but not the individual Dentist they were scheduling us with. Wed have to wait a couple of months until she got certified. Not sure exactly the issue, because I dont work in insurance or in the medical field. Bottom line they wouldnt see us. Called BCBS. They basically said the office people didnt know what they were talking about and she needed to call the office ASAP to make sure they werent calling and cancelling anymore appointments. By the next morning, everything was worked out with insurance and the office and that afternoon we went to the appointment. Waited for over 30 min in the waiting room. Then moved to a dentist chair. While we waited for close to an hour in the chair, I saw our dentist we had an appointment with walking around, having casual conversations with other employees. Never saw her with a patient. Just kind of walking around the office. Finally, after my two year old and five year old had a breakdown from waiting so long, I spoke up and threatened to leave. The dentist we had the appointment with overheard and offered to examine them. I told her she was who the appointment was with, so itd be nice. She ended up saying she wasnt scheduled to see us. Apparently, they had us scheduled with another dentist, who appeared to be working on three patients at once? I told her they gave me her name and I even looked up her biography on the website. I have no idea whats going on there. But the entire ordeal probably lasted close to two hours, if not more. They are disorganized and unprofessional. I never received any kind of apology for the scheduling/waiting issue. We wont be back.

I will say my daughter had no issues with the actual dental exam where they allow parents to be with the kid. The negative rating is based on 1. phones down for over a month, 2. Lack of follow through with verifing dental insurance and lose of personal information 3. Dental procedures where parents are forbidden to be. I tried for two weeks to make an appointment by phone, but only a recording answered the phone and could not leave a message. (should of been my first clue). Since it was so close I decided to stop in. They acknowledged their phones were down and apologized. The earliest appointment for a referred patient was two months out. scheduled it. Two weeks before appointment called to give insurance information (per their request). You guessed it, phone still did not work! Stopped in gave all the information requested in person. Two weeks later showed up for the appointment and they had NONE of my information!! No insurance was verified!! They said no problem they could do it prior to any major procedures being performed or I could wait another two months. Not an option since my daughter has already been in pain for 2 months. Everything seemed good with the insurance until 1 month later when I got a huge bill because they NEVER verified my plan and gave me completely inaccurate information for the procedures performed! They do NOT allow anyone to be with their child during the procedure. They assure you your child will be fine. My daughter like the dentist before this experience. I heard her screaming the entire time I was in the waiting room. It was so bad the other moms were commenting. When she came out with crocodile tears they told me she did great. I could not believe it. I let them know we ALL heard her screaming the entire time. They didnt know what to say. I know my daughter will not allow me to take her back :-(

My experiences with Lake Nona THEY ONLY WANTS MONEY, DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH Im disappointed: the first check, for my 2 year old was a success; My dentist gave him a diploma, free of cavities. Just because I had to change insurance I had to go to Lake Nona and six months later, on THE SECOND check my sons dentist said my son had 5 very large Cavities and he needed crowns and if it was not treated immediately it would end up in something very bad, they told me a lot of bad things, they scared me until I accepted, I put my little son at risk because they used general anestesia for the treatment at the hospital. They were going to treat to my daughter too and put her 3 crowns, my husband and I did not accept (that was too much) we asked for time because we wanted a second opinion of another dentist, then Jenifer (who call herself the office manager) told me that if we do not agree to the treatment they would no longer receive MY DAUGHTER and if I had an emergency they would no see her EVEN IF I BEG TO THEM, and after this they practically threw mw. Fortunately I change insurance again and I came back with my previous dentist and he said that after seeing the RX that Lake Nona took of my son He did not find any cavity on him. This means, they put five crowns at my little one taking advantage of my ignorance as a dentist and the huge concern they make me went through ONLY TO MAKE MORE MONEY, this is the worst thing a professional we trust our health can make. .... And today I receive a flyer from them offering me a FREE CONSULTATION, ahhhh.

They saw my daughter on an emergency bases. She had a chipped tooth. At first everything went well and i could stay with her. However, when she went into the treatment room I was told no parents allowed. I was briefly told the procedure and the cost for the day wS close to $500!!! They told me everything went well and she did great. They asked me to write a review before I left and I did. However, seconds after walking out of the office my 8 yo daughter burst into tears. She said they poked her gums Hard a few times with a needle AND they tied up her wrists. None of this was explained to me, I didnt sign a consent form... The Velcro strap they used to restrain her was stuck to her dress. I was told she would be feeling better in an hour or two. Two days later she was still in extreme pain and traumatized by the experience so I called and spoke with dr. Aina. She told me that they didnt restrain her wrists down which they call a papoose because their was no consent form YET I had the Velcro strap and my daughter telling me differently (an experience she never had before) and that her fever, red and swollen gums and pain had " NO correlation between fixing the chipped tooth". Her recommendation 2 days later was to return for a root canal and see the pcp. She had an infection and abscess where they poked her gum above the tooth. The pcp gave me an antibiotic and she was feeling better a day later. Needless to say I never returned.... Beware AND always go with your mom instincts. If it doesnt feel right it most likely isnt!

Terrible. Beware they will tell you certain things are covered by your insurance and then charge you for it. The people who verify your coverage are not well trained to give you accurate information. They put a device in my sons mouth and when I needed it removed they refused to take it out unless I paid the 500.00 charge they told me my insurance would cover and an additional fee to take the device out. All they care is about money and sticking you with services they will tell you your insurance will cover. Ive never everrrr had any problems with any other dental centers telling me the truth and accurate information about whats cover . I would not recommend. They even told my friend that has private insurance that would they take medicaid they said no...then she said she has a private insurance company through her job and they said no they wouldnt take the kids because they dont bill secondary and medicaid would be billed first and her private insurance which they do accept would be billed 2nd. Mind you my friend knew that was wrong because she works at a dental office accounting and the only reason she didnt take the child to her office is because they just Dont accept children so young.
