I believe Dr. Stashower is a good doctor, but his office has gotten very busy and his patient care has suffered. He is not as thorough or accommodating as he used to be. During total body mole checks, he scans skin quickly for what is in plain sight. Ive had two carcinomas in the last four years under/around my hairline, each of which Ive brought to his attention. And he sent the most recent one he removed to an out-of-network lab instead of using a lab in network, incurring close to $200 of extra charges. When I called his office to discuss it, he would not speak with me and told his nurse that it was not his problem. I had been a patient of Dr. Stashowers for many years, and was surprised and very disappointed that he would not accept responsibility.

I was referred to Dr. Stashower by a co-worker. I take my Doctor selections very seriously, and I must say this was a great pick. I absolutely love Dr. Stashower - he is the best! He always takes time to ask how I am and what are my concerns. He found a carcinoma on my right temple and it was removed with the Mohs procedure which was performed by another doctor in the office, who did a wonderful job and the scar is unnoticeable. If you want a knowledgeable, personable, caring doctor - you need to go to Dr. Mitchell Stashower. I have referred his name to everyone who needed a great dermatologist.

Had my first appt with Dr. Stashower. As a melanoma survivor, I take dermatology seriously. Got an appt easily. Office was very efficient. Short wait time. Exam was quick and seemed thorough. Excisions were painless. If you want to sit around and talk about stuff, he may not be the right doctor for you. I was very satisfied.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Stashower. He only spent 5 min talking to me about my acne. There was NO reasoning, NO explanation on why im having acne, just that I have to take these medicines until it goes away. And I might have acne for 20 years. I will absolutely not recommend him to anyone.
