Just had an appointment with Dr. Syed Amiry, yet I am in the same situation I was before visiting him. I went in for a consultation about acne, and was referred by my general practitioner because he had determined that the drugs I was using were not working. I go to the office and talked with him about what drugs I had tried, and he disagreed that the drugs were ineffective. I find this ironic because this was the first time I ever met him so I cant understand how he came to this conclusion. Regardless, he told me that I should stop touching and picking my face and said sorry I cant do anything else for you. Not only did he not help me, but he also just got up and left the room without letting me really understand why he thought the drugs were effective. This particular doctor honestly did not seem to understand, or care about my situation, and he didnt really even let me talk to him about it. The appointment lasted probably less than 10 min, and that is the last time I will schedule a visit.

My daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Amiry for three years. He has consistently been an outstanding physician - kind, caring, thoughtful, competent. He always has taken time with us to address all our concerns, whether it has to do with the appt we have or something completely unrelated. What I like most about Dr. Amiry is that he takes a holistic view of us as patients and considers our body chemistry and ways that we can improve that through vitamin and mineral supplements - the kind that can be obtained anywhere, not a line hes pushing from his office. We moved 50 miles away from Reston to another city. I tried two other dermatologists and they didnt impress me or do a particular procedure correctly at all. After 11 months, I have returned to Dr. Amirys practice and am very glad that I did.

I went to Dr. Amiry for restylane treatments under my eyes. He was excellent! He really takes the time to massage it and smooth it under the skin (unlike some doctors who arent really qualified to do the injections). He was very meticulous when performing the procedure (which is really not as painful as I thought). He has an awesome bedside manner as well. I went back a couple weeks later for a touch up on one eye (because I had some restylane left over, which they refrigerated for me). He took the time to show me what area he was working on (I even saw my before and after pictures) before he did the touch up. What a difference restylane makes! The staff and receptionists are very friendly. Its a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely be back!!

I would strongly advise not seeing this doctor for regular routine checks and dermatology support. They will screw around with the billing to ensure the highest up-charge to insurance. I have had skin checks every year for the past 15 years which should be covered under preventative care and covered by insurance at 100% however if there is anything unusual discovered in the visit they will change the billing to a diagnosis (this is the whole point on a preventive visit) with the end result being able to charge the insurance more which also gets passed to the patient.

I was referred to Dr. Amiry by another dermatologist. The receptionist and medical assistant were outstanding. They made me very comfortable right away. The office was inviting and all this made my short wait very relaxing. I usually am very anxious when visiting doctors. I already knew the procedure I wanted and did not tell the staff. After examining my face, Dr. Amiry told me what he recommended. It was exactly what I wanted. I got an immediate quote with all my questions answered. I go back next week for the procedure. I am very satisfied with the service.

Excellent people skills at Reston Dermatology & Cosmetic. There are very few really good dermatologists. Dr. Amiry is the best by far. Very genuine and down to earth with even the teenage patients. Very funny too. The office staff is a breath of fresh air and treated me like a real human being from the time I called until the time we left when leaving from our appointment. We dont live near to their office, but it is worth the drive. We trust Dr. Amirys work. He is highly skilled.

They are fantastic! Dr. Amiry has great patient rapport and is always kind and caring. He listens to his patients and I trust him. He has great staff too. Tracy is a great esthetician and I enjoy going to see her. The early hours are great for patients too. They also offer great monthly specials for regular customers...I could go alot of other places but because of Dr. Amiry & Tracy, the early hours and specials, I am a loyal customer!

The moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles by a friendly staff. Checking in at the front desk was fast and easy, afterwards cookies were available adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Meeting Dr. Syed Amiry was very pleasant and he was able to diagnose and resolve my skin issue. If you’re searching for a good dermatologist I recommend Dr. Syed Amiry and his wonderful staff.

Not willing to submit claims to insurance so that customers can show out-of-pocket expenses, because its "not easy". Thought that was why we pay so much for doctors and staff. After explaining my side, the staff member just regurgitated the office policy. Not answering my question, nor listening to me. I recommend you go to Austin-Weston.

I have never seen such a worst doctor. I went for acne and pigmentation and he didnt give me proper medicine and ask me to come every month and tries to sell products and charges me a lot of fee but I realized after lot of months that he is money minting from u. He is a junky and please dont go to him.

Dr. Amiry is the best dermatologist in the area hands down. He is extremely nice and cares about his patients. He knows what he is doing and does it well. I have noticed that his patient-physician relationship is also well established. I think i would know because I shadowed at his practice.

Dr. Amiry is great. He answered all my questions and concerns. This is one of the best Cosmetic and Dermatological centers I ever visited, the staff is very friendly and the waiting time wast less than 3 minutes. I did the Dermasweep and it was excellent. I will do in couple of week the IPL.

Dr Amiry is wonderful. He removed a few areas or precancerous cells on my face and went the extra mile to ensure my entire face would look great and heal evenly. I was so worried and after only a few days, my skin looks better than it did when I went in. Really well done!

I wouldnt go anywhere else. I first went to Dr. Amiry for help controlling adult acne. I was so happy with the results I tried laser hair removal and a chemical peel. He has since treated my kids for acne and eczema. We all love the friendly and caring atmosphere.

Thx for the check up. Thx family for nagging me to go. I highly recommend regular check ups. Reston dermatology was very easy to schedule and appointment was quick and easy. Doctor and nurse were great keeping me informed and what is needed next.
