My son, now three, has been a patient of Dr. Trans since he was six months old. Dr. Tran is wonderful and very thorough and I wish she would educate her front end staff of the importance of her skill and how as a parent I depend on her time to keep my sons health in check and possibly one day through early detection, keep him alive. I had an appointment set up for my son and I wrote down 1:00 pm instead of 10:00 am. The office gave me no phone call prior to my appointment as a courtesy reminder so I was completely unaware of my mistake. I showed up at 12:45 and the young woman at the front desk let me know my appointment was really at 10:00, that everyone was on lunch hour and they dont start seeing patients again until 1:30. I would have gladly waited as I drove an hour from Fredericksburg to see her and I had to take time off work to take my son to be seen for his annual check up (that takes five minutes). She said there was nothing she could do. Never offered to try to fit me in, get a supervisor or ask me if I was willing to come back later that afternoon, just brushed me off. She asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I told her no. As a parent - I didnt appreciate being snubbed. My sons health is just as important as the next womans botox. We will not be returning. Update: It took about a week for them to send me a bill in the mail for $50 for failing to show up to my appointment. Stay away from this office.

I cant believe how rude these people are. I wasn't sure about writing a review but after experiencing what most of u have already stated I have decided to go public. I have a son that went to meet Dr. Tran. He was extremely excited and hopeful because Dr.Tran assured him that she could help. She had him buy a body wash and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. For weeks he used this bodywash and used his antibiotics as prescribed however he didn't see any results. So for his follow up visit Dr.Trans nurse practitioner handled the entire follow up still leaving my son with unanswered questions. I decided to give them a call to ask a few questions and they told me to make an appointment and put me on hold until the line died. Finally for his 3rd visit I see Dr.Tran she was very cold and short with us. My son had an adverse reaction to the bodywash and his condition got worse. Since then his self esteem has been the lowest I have ever seen and we are out of options because we thought they were the best. But now they have our money we feel like they don't or ever really cared. Please don't waste your time or money with these people.

As a new patient to this practice, I arrived for my first appointment well ahead of time, was checked in and co-pay collected within minutes. And that was the end of the personal contact from the office staff, until 20 minutes past my appointment time, when I had to get up to ask how much longer. I got the response, "youre next". Another 20 minutes went by, with again, no contact from anyone to say that they were sorry for the delay/inconvenience. The medical assistant then came out, called my name, asking "how are you doing." When I expressed my disappointment for being called back 40 minutes past my appointment time, the response I got was rude, snide, and completely unprofessional. As someone who works in a Doctors office, a response of "well, this is a Doctors office, sometimes we run behind. If you had the problems these other patients have, you would understand us running behind.." would get me fired! I asked for my paperwork back and requested a refund of my co-pay and left the office. Beautiful building with not so lovely people working there!

I have only seen Dr. Hepper, but this is my feedback: Office staff are happy, friendly, informative, and easy to deal with. Facilities are clean and pleasant, my only request would be if they could offer complimentary coffee. Dr. Hepper is great. She is friendly, thorough, and really takes the time to explain information. Before I came to see her, I went to a dermatologist in Fredericksburg who overlooked a non-melanoma skin cancer. When I came to her for a second opinion, she immediately decided to have it checked and caught it. In addition you will find her educational background, including Washington University in St. Louis as top-notch.

I had a biopsy and she (Dr. Thornton) sutured the area too tight and puckered my skin up . Worst suture insertion ever. Very cold and uncaring at my visit. I was very disapointed in the low quality of care and now I have to live with a big puckered up area where she biopsied. I called to ask her about calling in a Rx. that I had read about that would help my skin condition and she didnt bother to ever call me back. Stay away from this practice, they will have you leaving looking and feeling worse than when you went in. Wish I would have read these reviews before I considered having them care for my skin.

Had been to another dermatologists office in Richmond several times, was referred there but they just couldn t pin point a dx. Went here, office staff professional and friendly. Saw Dr Hepper the 1st time, she came in and said immediately I know whats going on with you.Dx was right. Gave me prescription,Sarna and professional medical tape that dried my very severe itching and scratching up.Have been back several times, she removed a cancer sack from my leg and since burned off 3 more. Totally disagree with these other reviews. Can only say Dr Hepper and Dr Hoover are top notch and would recommend anyone to them.

I had an appointment at the office as a new patient. When I got to the office, they took my insurance card for copies/verification and such. After about 5 minutes they told me my insurance was NOT accepted. Naturally, I questioned this because they asked for this information when I made the appointment. I was told that they dont pre-authorize when appointments are set because, "Its a waste of time." Apparently, wasting MY time is acceptable professional practice. HUGELY unimpressed with their lack of customer service. Absolutely unacceptable.

I have been to the office for many years. I find the staff to be very professional. I use Dr.. Tran and find her to be a very good dermatologist. The scheduling however needs to be fixed. I usually have to wait long past my appointment time to be seen. I recently had a appointment for my husband and I back to back. Since I was already seen an hour behind he didnt not even go in because he would have to wait for 2 more patients ahead of him. Definitely a scheduling problem But they did refund his copay and we left with no problems.

Quick, professional and great results! I was shocked to read the reviews below. I was a new patient, they took me right in a week after my call, the wait in the waiting room was less than 5 minutes, and I had the most informative dermo trip Ive experienced in 15 years. Its been about 2 weeks and I am seeing better results for my acne and psoriasis than I ever have after learning about new meds and things I can do to prevent my conditions. PRICELESS! I will definitely recommend Affiliated to my friends and family. Thank you!
