I had been coming here for years to see Dr. Lee, who is seemingly the smartest, most efficient dermatologist on the East Coast. However, I recently started going for esthetician services. I informed them that because I had just turned 26, I would have a high deductible. They looked into it and assured me there would be no cost to me (besides the co-pay). After the last two appointments, I was sent bills in the mail for $30 and then $75. Before my appointment a few days ago, I asked the front desk to clarify what these bills were for. They had no record of the bills and were unable to find my financial records for these. I talked to the head of billing who was utterly confused and couldnt get a hold of their Bethesda office to check on my financial records. She agreed with me that a place of business should probably retain the financial records of their clients. She was supposed to call me yesterday to clarify the charges and let me know about a reimbursement, and I have yet to hear from the office. As a side note, the esthetician was constantly referring to her South Asian clients like we all have the exact same skin type. Throughout the appointment she would refer to her other South Asian clients as if we are not individuals with our own unique skin care problems. All of this left a terrible taste in my mouth, so Ill discontinue esthetician services there.

This was simply just an unpleasant, and unnecessarily expensive, ordeal. Not only did they have me with the incorrect doctor/nurse my first visit, but by my follow-up visit, the doctor/nurse I saw on that occasion told me the diagnosis given by the first was completely inaccurate! I was supposed to have a culture taken and analyzed--to be reviewed between patient and practitioner upon my second visit--and they didnt even have the results back, when they were the ones who set the date for the follow-up. So the first visit was completely pointless, but of course I had to pay for both that and the culture, that I never received the results from, by the way, and even though the second doctor/nurse expressed that it was completely pointless. When I tried to work out the kinks in this logic of paying for something not received, the office was quite rude and shuffled me around between four different individuals, all with the intent of trying to reach the same person, who ended up not being there in the first place (although I was repeatedly told he was in the office) and who never returned the message I was forced to leave. Overall, this was not only an inefficient practice by means of medical knowledge, but once someone had an issue, they had no desire to aid in remedying the situation. I, for one, will never go back.

Arrogant. I have been there before and patiently waited 15 minutes past my appointment to be seen. On a recent appointment with Dr. Brendan Pillimer, I was running behind a few minutes. I called to let the office know and when I arrived 10 minutes late, they told me the doctor went to lunch and I would have to come back another day. Thats not it. I had a previous appointment that I needed to cancel and when I called to do so, their system was down. They asked me to call back at another time. I insisted they simply write down my cancellation and log it when their system comes up rather than making me call back. They never did that and then tried to charge for a missed appointment. There is a complete lack of regard for their customers (patients) time.

Seriously, love this dermatology center! After visiting multiple 5 star rated dermatologists in my area I was still not happy when finally my best friend referred me to The Dermatology Center in Germantown. Now I travel from Frederick and she travels from Hagerstown just to come to this office and we will never go anywhere else. The office is clean and organized while the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I have seen both Dr. Brendan Pillemer and Physician Assistant Jennifer Whitman and I leave feeling confident that I am in good hands every single time. Plus my skin looks amazing! Ive always had problems with my skin and since coming to The Dermatology Center Ive never felt more confident. Thank you for everything!

I just had my first laser hair removal treatment today and it was a very pleasant experience... considering. :) The receptionists are friendly, and Nancy Spence, the woman I had my consultation with is very good. She explains the process well and makes herself available to answer questions. afterward. Jennifer Whitman, PA-C did the "procedure" and she was fast! But I didnt feel rushed. She was very personable. I highly recommend Dermatology & Clinical Skin Care Center in Germantown.

I have nothing to against doctors there, but the billing department is HORRIBLE. They dont post your payments and send you a bill. That is not the right way to handle a business finance. Their bills are so confusing, and I have no idea what they billed me for. The billing department needs to have a serious improvement, or hire a staff who can understanding the billing process. Otherwise, they will lose patients in no time.

I have always been very pleased with the service at Germantown Dermatology Center. They staff is so friendly and I rarely have to wait.. I make my appointments first thing so that might be why. I will always recommend them to my friends and co workers.

This place really doesnt want your business. One of those awesome shitshows that cram in a thousand patients a day and leave no time to actually talk to you about anything, yet still charge rates like they did more.
