My biggest issue with Eileen Kitces is unfair billing, adding extra charges for services that I was not given the opportunity to approve prior to being performed. The first incident was when she removed black heads from my daughters nose and charged us for "acne surgery", $131. Prior to removing the black heads, I was not told it would be an extra charge or was I given the option to say no, I do not want them removed. She removed them as part of the appointment then charged for acne surgery plus the office visit. I paid the charge and had them write on my chart that I did not want any services performed outside what was included in an office visit. I also had this discussion with the doctor. Now, I have just received a second bill that includes "acne surgery" for $121 plus the office visit charge. In my daughters last appointment, Eileen Kitces took an instrument to pick at a blemish on my daughters face then said to us that if my daughter was using her medicine consistently, then the blemish would have come out, but since it did not, it meant she was not using the medicine consistently. She charged me "acne surgery" and $121 for that. Again, she just did it and did not give me an option to say I did not want it nor did she tell me that it would be an extra charge. It took her approximately 30 seconds to perform this "acne surgery". The office is no help and often rude. Their stance is that if the doctor puts it down, there is nothing you can do about it and you are not allowed to speak to the doctor. The experiences I discuss above plus a few others makes me question the integrity of this doctor. Her medical abilities may be sound (although she does not seem to be better than any other dermatologist I have seen), but they are far out shadowed by questionable billing practices. This is it for us, we will not be going back. I need to trust my doctors and in this case, I no longer do.

I had a bad experience with Edward Kitces. He diagnosed me wrongly after two visits and it took me to micromanage him to identify the real issue. I later moved to another area and asked if he could write a note to help lead the next doctor I worked with, they said they would do it and once again didnt pull through. The note was never written. I recommend going elsewhere until this place can effectively manage the doctors into being effective.

Went in to have a mole looked at. They took my insurance and said I didnt owe anything. They then sent two bills to the wrong address and then sent me to a collection agency. After getting my credit totally screwed over, I finally get a phone call making me aware that I had a bill. I called them and they said there is nothing they can do except pay the collection agency. I would definitely never go back ever.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered for a doctors office. They only care about money, not the patient care. They lied to me, hung up on me and laughed at. All I tried to do was set up an appointment. I recommend going somewhere that treats people with respect.

Great office staff, friendly, polite, professional etc. I arrived a few minutes early and was talking with the Dr. at my scheduled time. The best dermatology practice in Richmond! You wont have to wait 6 months to get an appointment!
