Weve been customers here for several years but are now looking for another place to take care of our family dental needs. My daughter went in with tooth pain we assumed was related to her wisdom teeth coming in. Modern Smiles took X-Rays which showed her wisdom teeth coming in sideways. However, they told my wife that our daughters tooth pain was related to a cracked molar next to the incoming wisdom tooth. They referred them to a specialist to get a CT scan to determine the exact location of the crack. They went to the specialist and the CT scan was performed, however they determined that there was no crack in the tooth, and the incoming wisdom tooth was pushing on her molar. The bottom line is they misdiagnosed a simple evaluation which cost us $500 out of pocket for an unnecessary trip to a specialist and havent bothered calling us back after weve tried to contact them for two days. Clearly not the best customer service experience weve had. This location seems as though it may be under new ownership as many of the staff has changed. We used to love the service here but Lake Nona has no shortage of dentists so well take our family elsewhere from now on.

What an awful experience!! I will not be back for my dental treatment. No greeting when I arrived for my appointment, i had to wait over 10 minutes for my paperwork and that was because I asked the girl at the front desk which was more concern with gossiping with a coworker. The Hygienist took my x-rays and I asked her to be more gentle and she acted like she didnt understand me. The Doctor was professional just very serious she didnt smile and seemed bothersome. When it was time for checkout I had to wait more, seems like this office lacks communication and did not give me a good first impression. I wont be back.

Be careful when youre a new patient. They were pushing to get me to commit to have invisalign costing $4000. I obviously needed a fill or root canal and Dr. Ahmed chose to ignore it and focused on getting me to sign-up for the invisalign treatment explaining that the filling will be useless without the crossbite getting treated first. While it may be true, I think preventative measures to stop further tooth decay should still be done. I wanted to get invisalign but their all-for-profit tactics turned me off. Choose another dentist if you can.

Not the place it use to be. This office always has new staff. For about a year they had a great group of girls and slowly they are gone. The front is completly different. With staff turn around I am beginning to think the Drs are treating them bad. Their work is ok, but with the new front team and their inaccuracy with keeping business straight I will be looking for another dental office. Not a fan anymore.....too bad

Extremely inefficient. My mother has been waiting for over 45 minutes to see a hygienist, and the only thing we got was an apology and an excuse thats its a busy day. If they were running so late, they should have warned us and allowed us to reschedule. If you have nothing better to do with your day than sit in a waiting room, this is the place for you!

I"m happy with my experience at Modern Smiles. Always greeted, always taken care of by the same hygienist so she knows my history. Had never been to another office with all the tech and equipment they have. I have no complaints.

they dont bill correctly and it takes over 10 calls to resolve! Dr Rivera always has this attitude as if she hates her job. New staff all the time no customer service skills. Difficult to schedule.
