I went to Dr. Coupland for over 10 years and never had an issue with them. The staff (at first) was good (albeit not the friendliest) and then things went downhill. I was prescribed medication for anxiety, and when I had to leave to go out of town on a cruise, I asked the front office if they wouldnt mind calling in my prescription 2 days early. They refused. In the midst of all this I ended up moving downtown and asked people for recommendations for another doctor closer to home. I went to the new doctor, and told them I used to go to Dr. Coupland and that I would have my records sent over. When I went to my appointment at my new doctor, they stated that Dr. Coupland and her staff claimed I was "doctor hopping" to try to get the medication I was prescribed by Coupland herself for nearly 9 years! I was told that they could not keep me as a patient due to this, and then I called Dr. Coupland and asked for my medical records and told them they were completely awful for making me feel like I was some sort of addict when I had been with them for over 10 years. Just disgusted. When my medical records did arrive, they added insult to injury by stating that THEY couldnt see ME anymore and were removing me from their practice. HORRIBLE.

Dr. Coupland is like no other doctor I have ever encountered. She is amazing the way she treats her patients, she shows great interest in each individual. You leave her office knowing that you were truly heard and never talked down to. Dr. Joan Coupland is a dieing breed of doctor and anyone who finds a doctor half as compassionate as she is should consider themselves blessed.
