I requested counseling on cost of services/treatments they would provide and was denied service because of my desire to be informed and manage my health care cost. I was told if I did not wish to sign their lawyers financial policy form then I could leave. After speakng with the office manager via phone, I did go ahead and sign their form. She did promise to provide me a statement of costs with services provided. I was pleased to continue my appointment. After Thirty minutes of waiting, I was informed that they had changed their mind and asked me to leave. So, if you wish to be financially responsibile for your medical bills, this is not a welcoming place. Below is a copy of the statement I added to their financial policy form I signed. Their form does say that you are accountable for the cost of services but based upon my experience they do not want their patients making informed financial decisions. "Dear Bay Dermatologist, I am responsible for my medical bills. I have health insurance and I am grateful for it. But ultimately I am the payer. Hence, Lisa Roe will not be billable or accountable for any goods, services or other costs unless she has been previously counseled on the costs of said services and treatments. Thank you for helping me be responsible and choose the appropriate medical care."

Staff member stated she was "waiting on approval from my insurance company," for 2 weeks. I called the insurance company to ask what was going on, only to be told that she had never bothered calling them at all to seek approval. She also rescheduled my surgery because "insurance company did not call me back" for another -cash- patient. After I asked her to please fix the problem and stop the nonsense, she encouraged the physician to dismiss me as a patient. Asking to speak with the physician has been unsuccessful, either. He refuses to follow-up on my grievance and give me, as a patient, any time at all to explain what is going on. Beware of this office! Do not expect common courtesies such as: calling you back when promised, being truthful, or even following their own schedule. Understand that if you are not a cash patient, you are not a priority to them. Its such a shame to see a physicians office act this way. I really wish it could have been different and that my review could have been positive.

I am a new patient for Dr. Chavda and have only had one visit thus far. I can HONESTLY say I have been VERY impressed with Dr. Chavda and her staff!! I have called in a few times with questions after my visit and each time I was pleasantly greeted and treated with respect and compassion!! Not once was I made to feel like I was "bothering" them with my questions. Each said it was their pleasure to be able to assist me with any questions! I have personally been in the medical field for YEARS and this is by far THE BEST I have EVER been treated on a first visit for any specialty!! I am sure you will agree that is saying A LOT!! I will be happy to recommend Dr. Chavda and her team to any of my friends in need of a Dermatology referral!! Thank you SO much for easing my fears.

Between the Bay Dermatology office in Clearwater and Palm Harbor, my entire family and I have been patients for about 15 years. We have been through allergic skin reactions, acne treatments, rosacea, skin cancer detection and removal, ingrown hair removal and anti-aging treatments. I have never had a problem with any of the Drs and we have seen several over the years. My most recent visit to the Palm Harbor office was about as satisfying as you can get. Barely any wait time, insurance was billed properly (as was I), the treatment was successful and the Dr. and staff were friendly. : )

Worst medical service ever in palm harbor fl. The doctor didnt even want to do any thing but go on her vacation . Didnt want to give me any time and insist that I. i need to get another appointment She do not have time for me i was on time for my appointment they send me to Pasco office but the Dr has to go for emergency she was taking personal calls during my visit and I had to tell her that i do not have time to waste my time is money just like any buddy. I will never go back Thats just insane! Who hired these people?! the Dr is Krina Chavda

The experience was very good for me. The office was clean, the staff professional, and I was impressed by my clinical experience. Dr. Chavda was very thorough and found two additional lesions other than the one I had noticed. One was basal cell and the other was squamous cell carcinoma. The office was prompt in contacting me with the laboratory findings and in treatment of the two cancerous spots. I was pleased and impressed with my care and would feel very comfortable recommending this doctor to my friends.

Dr. Chavda has been my derm for about 4 years now. Professional, clean, calm office staff. Great with time management! They always see me within 5 minutes of my appt. Dr. Chavda is calm and relaxed- really helps patients feel comfortable. If something needs to be removed, she just removes it- no big deal. Her calm, quiet demeanor keeps me coming back for my yearly skin check. I appreciate the Palm Harbor office staff, as well. Thank you.

I appreciate the way the staff works hard to stay on schedule. My time is just as important as theirs and I respect that. The nursing staff is very efficient listening and taking notes throughout the entire initial phase of the visit. This was my first visit to Bay Dermatology. The doctor and staff were very efficient. With a 10:30 appointment, I was checked in as a new patient, spent time with an assistant and was seen by doctor in a very timely manner. After a complete skin check and discussion with the doctor, I was out the door in under a half hour.

Dr. Miller is the best dermatologist around. He did a fantastic job on my nose after removing a cancer. Unfortunately my insurance changed to one he does not accept. I had to change Dr. and have not found one to compare with Dr. Miller. I really miss him.

Liked going there but agree that the wait was frustrating. I turned 65 this year and have UnitedHealth Care - when I went to make my appointment I was informed that they do not take Medicare Supplement United HealthCare. Lost a patient.
