The rating of this dermatology practice really depends upon which office one visits. At the Safety Harbor (near Mease Hospital) office, the doctor failed to examine me adequately to identify issues that had me back at another office in New Port Richey the following week. The female doctor at the New Port Richey office was fabulous. The practice insists on charging the deductible twice despite the first service having been incompetent. Im sure my insurance company is being double charged as well. My rating of two stars is for the entire practice. Had the rating been just for the New Port Richey office, it would have significantly better. The quality of service is inconsistent.

Front office was very courteous and efficient. Waiting room was pleasant and roomy. Appointment was right on time. The medical assistant was very attentive and obtained an excellent prescreening. Dr. Perez did an excellent diagnosis and prescribed medication that is doing the job. She also offered a return visit if things didnt start healing properly or I wanted a followup appointment. She also answered all of my questions and was not in a rush to answer. A few days later, I had a couple of followup questions. Their Medical Tech, Allison, did an extraordinary fine job of helping me with these questions. Highly recommended.

Sadly Dr. was not able to diagnose that I had scabies even after doing a biopsy and blood test. He gave me an antifungal cream and told me to see an allergy Dr to see what i had. so it turned out to be that I had scabies. After reading online about my symptoms it seems that any Dr with some experience would had been able to identify or at least rule out scabies and not end the appointment with keep using this ointment (antifungal) and go to the Allergy Dr. It is very disappointing that a Dermatologists would not had been able to identify scabies.

Very nice office! The medical assistants are very sweet and helped me feel more comfortable about my visit. James the PA is excellent! He performs a very thorough skin check and took the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I had. He has great bedside manner! They provided me with pamphlets regarding my condition so I can reference back to them. You will leave the office feeling very well informed!
