My 10 month old son was seen for croup and was diagnosed with an ear infection. He was given a 10 day amoxocillin prescription - it did nothing for the ear. He was then given another antibiotic - it did nothing for the ear. When they tried to give him a third, stronger antibiotic or suggested a sereis of 3 shots I decided to get a second opinion. I was not planning on changing pediatricians I just wanted a second voice to see if it was neccesary to continue down this road. When I tried to make the follow up appointment/9 month well visit, I was refused because "our doctors dont allow patients to return after getting a second opinion". I have let them know that I will tell people about this. And here it is.. If you take your child to East Lake Pediatrics you are no longer allowed to see any other doctors or question their treatment or they will refuse to see your child. I have expressed to them in the past that I do not like to over medicate my children. They were adamant that my son needed these antibiotics. The result of the second opinion was that it is not always neccessary to give antibiotics for an ear infection if the child is not in pain. His ear infection cleared up in time and I only added a multi-vitamin to his daily routine. I would never trust a Practice who believes they are infallible. Medicine is an evolving science and is also now leaning more towards not over medicating children. If this is your belief, I would suggest finding somewhere else to take your children.

I am a foster parent who has been taking her children in care to Dr. Jordan at East Lake Pediatrics in Palm Harbor for a year now. Although I live 25 miles away, I decided to continue their care there as that is where they had been going and they had issues that needed to be addressed. I did not want to start over again with a new doctor and I have not been disappointed. Although I am not sure what address the negative reviews are referring too, I have never been treated rudely, they always accommodate me ( I have mixed up my appt dates, asked them to see both children when only one had an appointment, called and asked if I could bring them in that day, etc) and they have given me referrals to specialists when I showed concern about symptoms I felt might best be addressed by a specialist. They have returned my calls promptly and have been understanding of my desire to try alternative methods and not to medicate at the times I believe alternative methods are better. Because of the above I will continue to bring my girls (whom we will soon be adopting) to see Dr Jordan throughout their childhood. They have my recommendation and I have been parenting for over 45 years.

Ive been taking my two children to Dr. Jordan for the past three years! I am always very impressed and pleased with their knowledge and care of my children. They are exactly what I was looking for! Also, Jennifer specialized in GI issues which my daughter struggled with. Its nice that they have people that have specialized in certain areas. I trust them 100%

My children have been patients of East Lake Pediatrics for a number of years and I couldnt be happier. I always get an appointment same day regardless of location. The girls at the front desk are always welcoming. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing caring physicians and a friendly staff.

Reception is rude and just plain, RUDE, every time I go in there. Dr Amy seems very selfish and doesnt care what the Parent has to say. Dr Jennifer at least listens and seems to have some compassion, hell never see Dr Amy again...
