**Update** This place is worse than I thought! I called back in Dec to cancel my wellness plan to which they told me I had to pay the balance for the services rendered at the full rate, which is insanely expensive. Fine, If I missed that in the contract, my bad. So I was told that once the balance is paid, it should cancel but check back with them if it doesnt. So they continue charging me well after the balance was paid and when I call them to get it fixed, they refuse to refund me the excess because I was told to call back earlier and I didnt. Then, when I ask to speak to a manager, it goes straight to voicemail. When I call back to talk to a live manager, they tell me that the managers are never around and they will get back to me in a couple days but they still probably wont give me a refund. Their customer service isnt even given the ability to give refunds, meaning they dont intend for anyone to ever get one. How shady is that? I luckily found an awesome vet who charges reasonable prices, so if youre looking, Critter Care is the best around.**This vet is a total rip off. They convinced us to get their wellness plan which is really a glorified payment plan. If you try to cancel early, they will charge you for all of your prior services at ridiculous prices. My dog had mange (which I told them thats what it was) and they wanted to do all different kinds of tests before they would test for mange (a relatively cheap test compared to what they were suggesting). I refused those tests, and surprise, it was mange! They gave him medicine which nearly killed him, without warning us of any potential side effects. Then they refused to give us any kind of refund and we had to pay full price for a different medicine. When I asked them about trimming my birds nails, they said that because its such a traumatic experience for them, I would have to leave the bird there for the entire day. I have had my birds nails clipped hundreds of times, and every where Ive taken her, they clip her nails right in front of me in 2 minutes with no issues. I could go on but bottom line, this place is all about profit and they could care less about your pet. Save your money and go somewhere less commercial.

TERRIBLE! I rarely write reviews but my experience here was just awful! My experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was on a super tight budget and found a coupon for a free vet visit at Banfield so i was willing to try em out since we just moved to PCB from out of state and i was looking for a new vet. i will try to keep my experience fairly simple. Right off the bat the vet tech was persistently trying to sell me their monthly pet health plan even though i told her no about 3 times she kept trying to pressure me! The vet was cold and VERY outright rude to me!!! I wanted my dogs annual heartworm test done and they oddly took him in the back without me, when he came back in he was so freaked out and he apparently pooped back there he was THAT scared poor baby, in all my years i had never had that happen! They cared more about making money than caring for my dog and our particular needs. They seemed more like terrible salesman than someone in the pet medical field. Their manner was so not what i would expect at a vet office unprofessional & especially unpersonable to say the least! I am a calm easy going person but by the end of it i was really mad for many reasons! I could go on and on about everything seriously. But bottom line is will never go back to any Banfield ever again! And i will never recommend them to anyone EVER! There are WAY better vets around just take my word for it. BTW that pet health plan they offer is not saving anyone money! I calculated the total annual cost and its so lame, just another way for them to get money out of you every month instead of once a year. I got my dogs heart worm med prescription and bought it somewhere else. I will give my money to someone else any day I will never bring my pets here again!

If youd asked me a while back, our review would have been less than favorable. However, after getting a new vet (Hannah, who is no longer there) we were happy. Last week our precious Donner, a Belgian Malinois, had to go in for his comprehensive exam. Hed been a little sick but the next week he was throwing up all of his food. It turns out that he was in kidney failure. We knew his kidney enzyme levels were high in the past but nothing like this where it had escalated this fast. My review is about the care that was given during our time saying goodbye. The staff and vet was super nice and best of all, honest. We were told we could do very expensive treatment but it most likely would not work and would only give us another few months even if it did work. Plus, our dog would be hospitalized for 8-12 hours a day for this. After the hard decision of euthanasia, the staff was so kind and helpful and Donner simply went to sleep with no issues. We were allowed as much time as we needed and were never spoken to with anything but kindness. I know Donner is in doggy heaven but knowing he went to sleep and has no more pain comforts us when we want to feel crushed over this. Theyre not perfect but we havent had a problem since the first time, years ago. I hope everyone of good as an experience as we did in this difficult time.

My most recent visit was a huge disappointment. I had seen previous vets at this location and they had taken my concerns seriously, so I signed my two cats up for the health plan. One is a breed that is known for being sensitive to certain medications, so I didnt want them to use anesthesia for dental work on her without more information. The girl at the desk said shed google it on her iphone. I declined the procedure, but left my two cats for their wellness check up. When I picked them up, the cat that had the dental procedure was fine, but the cat that hadnt was not wearing her collar, clearly upset, and smelled like urine. When I got home, I discovered that the paperwork detailing their health workup was missing so my husband went back. That was when I found out that the cat w/o the dental didnt even get her wellness check. They didnt even bother to tell us that they didnt do what the cat was there for. I can understand if my cat was too upset for the procedures, but thats why I left my phone number. Call me, and let me get my poor distressed cat. Poor communication, disregard for my concerns, and didnt perform what we were told they were doing. They only get two stars because the cat that had the dental procedure seems to be fine. Apparently they can only handle sedated cats well.

Horrible!! I would never go there again!! We just moved here and the day we got here our dog was really sick! We got her into banfield because it was a saturday and they were the only place open! My dogs eyes were horrible and she had a serious runny bloody nose! Saturday we never even seen the vet because of other serious cases and we were sent home with an ointment for her eye, sunday we go back because her eyes were getting worse, we finally seen a vet and she put her on more meds, monday we go back because she is even worse and they just didnt seem to care they asked us what meds we think would work for her? I have no idea im not a vet! Just fix my dog!! So we ended up spending over $300 there! Tuesday we took her to a REAL vet and he was concerned wih all the meds that Banfield had her on and wanted us to stop right away, he ran test and changed all her meds and in about 4 days everything was cleared up!! Thank you Dr Eubanks!! Please dont use Banifield atleast Dr Jennart
