I went to this doctor and was given referals to pain management and a psychologist. The ladies at the front desk said they would contact these office and send them my medical info. 3 weeks later and nothing. I have called this office 8 times and left messages but no one ever calls back. Finally i had to get a ride to the office and talk to them and they said they have no idea why my calls were never returned. Then went on to tell me that they never sent anything to pain management was because they needed me to sign a paper giving permission to do so, again why no would could call and tell me is baffling. My son-in-law has been to multiply doctors recently and has never had to leave a voicemail, yet here you have to or wait on hold for 20-30 mins. This is the worst doctor in orange county please save yourself and go elsewhere.

i`ve had DR.Mercado for a Doctor for about 8 years,in the past year theres been changes in staff,and they all have an attitude,you come in wait in the by the window,they (staff) don`t welcome you,good morning,good after noon,etc.,not a thing,hey i gave them the staff a FMLA paper work from work to have it filled out by the DR on tuesday ,they don`t call me i call them on wednesday, well have it filled out,ok i waited patiencely,friday i called the staff they say i have to make an appointment,on friday,i`m disappointed as it is,so i said ok then they tell me theres no appointment today,****##@@@@!!! now you know how my family and i feel,so i requested a transfer,i can`t take this anymore........

I love Dr. Gonzales & his asssistant Raiza but their front office staff is horrible, anytime you call to make an appointment you get transferred to Carmens voicemail, after calling 7 times you get a real person and they do not try to squeeze you in or even try to understand the circumstance/ reason for the visit. I work in health care and this is not ok. i understand DRs have a schedule but there is always a way. I have encountered this problems many times before. Its a shame but i will be leaving this practice and finding another Dr.

I have been in the medical field for over 20 years and I bring my best friend in to see Dr. Mercado he is a very pleasant man and listens to her and gets her authorizations to her specialist . The front and back office are very pleasant as well, the only thing is they did not have the labs that she had done at Lab Corp. when we came in for appointment. The one thing I would like to see is this office to get is a port hole where you can request medication refills, and make appointments or just send a general message.

The doctors are nice, the location is convenient but the staff is so incompetent. The voicemail mailboxes are always full, and the prompts are incorrect. You cant get a prescription refilled unless you come in and beg, and the staff is unfriendly and rude. They should replace the office manager and retrain the staff. Tough to have elderly parents have to deal with this.

Great Doctor excellent primary Care, I have seen many other docs due to moves about the country and Dr Mercado is one of the best diagnosticians as well as primary i have seen. He is also very responsible and staff is quick with specialist referals when needed.

Good Doctor, but I am extremely disappointed with the billing department. They do not know how to properly bill medical insurance companies or is committing fraud. Very frustrating... take yourself somewhere else, unless you have money to burn.
