After years of wearing cheaters, I finally broke down and explored the idea of wearing bifocal contacts. Upon the recommendation of a friend, we met with Dr. Richardson and his staff at Eyes of Winter Park. Upon arrival a very nice lady came out and borrowed mine and my wifes glasses and gave the a thorough cleaning and tightened up the screws, they were clean and good as new. Next, the technician took us back and started the preliminary assessments. She made sure the equipment was cleaned and sterile before we even put our head on the instruments and was super friendly, just like everybody so far. Afterwards, we met with Dr. Richardson. Dr. Richardson was super friendly, extremely intelligent and intuitive when examining mine and my wifes eyes. After patiently running through all the equipment he has at his command, he fit me with some bifocal contacts, taught, (patiently) how to put them in and remove them. Very hands on in your care and experience. He spent at least 30-40 minutes with both my wife and I. All in all it was a great experience, Ill go back in a couple of weeks to re-access if these are the right strength for me. His staff is top notch and very friendly. I left to get a hair cut afterwards and the lady cutting my hair was intrigued with my bifocal contacts so I gave her his business card and recommended she go see him too. Bottom line, hes a great eye doctor, did three tours in the Army, and has a super staff, go see him for your eye needs!! I was reading some of these earlier posts from 3-4 years ago and hope you dont let these deter you, in talking with Dr. Richardson, I got the impression he had recently taken over this business in the last 2 years and was working hard to make it the top caliber place it is.

I had a 12noon appointment which it took them 40 min to finally see me for my exam. The place is not very big and the eyeframe selection is limited and EXPENSIVE. The greasy looking manager could care less and is very rude and doesnt know what customer service is. every single frame is no less then $199 bucks and go as high as $350. I was quoted $500 bucks for a noline bifocal FRAME....NO GLASS LENS in them. I will have to say though that the eye doctor who gave me the exam was EXCELLENT. took the time to speak to me and give me options as well as explained things as best as he can. 5 Stars for the eye doctor, 1 star for the manager and his rediculous prices. I really hope the eye doctor isnt financially stuck at that location and can move onto a better practice.

I have no real complaints about this facility, I literally tried to sit and think if I did. When I came in Erin was extremely helpful with helping me find frames, she was very honest with me on how they looked. It was a Saturday and I guess I came right before the rush with all three of my daughters and the doctor came right out, gave them a spinning top each and sat on the floor with them seeing "whose can spin the fastest". I really appreciated that because as a mom who has 3 younger children sometimes they can get overwhelming, jumping everywhere, I usually lose my patience and give up what Im doing. This staff went above and beyond!

I dont even want to give them one star. The customer service, which cant even be called that is Horrendous. The manager slash sleazy sales man acts as though you are the nuisance and bothering him! My contact lens exam was attempted to be sold to me with and "up charge" for a second exam for glasses. I got an exam on December 28th, I still have yet to receive me contact lens!! I have been in there three time and each time it is something new: lost my prescription, cant find my file, no contacts in stock. Absolutely horrible way to treat any clients. DO NOT go here for any exams or any vision needs.

I have not successfully spoken to anyone on the phone, even after calling and leaving multiple messages. It seems the only way you can speak to anyone is to go inside. They said they had switched phone systems and were experiences issues, but trying to call months later and Im still unable to reach anyone through the phone. The eye exam seemed fine, the doctor was very nice. The glasses are more expensive than Ive seen in this area, by a lot. Even with insurance it was very pricey, so I went online for my glasses.

This place was awesome! If anyone would like to experience a doctor and staff who actually cares and listens to your needs, make Eyes of Winter Park your Optometrist. I felt welcomed and Dr. Francisco listened to my concerns and gave a thorough exam. Afterwards, the staff helped me to pick out my new specs and actually gave their opinion! Ive not had such specialized treatment at a doctors office. And they were on time to boot!!! GREAT!

Customer Service here gives you a migraine. I called and asked how much for an appointment, when they ran my card after the exam, it was twice what they quoted me. When i questioned it, they said 2 exams were done. I said no, it was only one, I only asked for one and it took less than 10 minutes. They would not give me my money back and then tried to sell me $400 frames. I went for contact lenses! Very rude and clueless.

Nice place! The doctor was awesome, really took their time and explained everything and bonus they took my insurance! Staff was helpful and I didnt wait that long which surprised me because it was pretty busy. Able to park pretty close as its next to the Publix. I got in and out without any hassles. I will definitely go back. I liked it so much I set up appointments for my kids to check them before school starts.

I highly recommend Winter Park Optical, used my insurance to get an eye exam and a pair of glasses. Had no idea I would save so much money. The doctor was excellent and the staff was very helpful in helping me select some frames, I think I tried every pair in the office. I couldnt decide which frame to get, they had a good selection. Overall had a great experience. Thank you for all your help.

A great experience! I was able to use my insurance for my first no line bifocals and the fit and vision is perfect! Thanks guys. My fiance did not have insurance and they hooked her up with a special price for the exam, glasses and contact lenses. Super nice and knowledgeable folks WENT BACK and got contacts. They were less than what I paid at 1-800!! Thanks

Took my daughter here for a checkup and glasses. Really enjoyed my experience. Dr. Richardson as he was very attentive and listens to all our concerns which is unlike other places we have gone to. He is a hands on physician, which is very hard to find. Great selection of glasses as well. Definitely recommend going if you are looking for a new place to go.

Dr. Richardson is an excellent doctor. He takes his time and gives each patient the time and care they need. His staff is friendly and willing to help. They have a large selection of glasses with a wide price range. Something for everyone, no matter what your budget is. Great for contact lenses too! You wont be disappointed!
