I purchased 2 pair of glasses for my son from Trinity Eye Associates (approx. $500) back in December 2013 and along with them came a 1 year manufacturers warranty. At that time they informed me that this warranty would cover all costs in the event that anything happened to his glasses. Eleven months later one of the frames broke, so I contacted the store. They informed me that the frame that was broken was no longer available because the manufacturer was no longer in business. They said I would have to buy a new pair of glasses for him. After getting off the phone, I decided to look up the manufacturer online (the name brand on the frames – Klik). Sure enough, it took me all but one click to find them. So, I contacted them and sure enough they were still in business and although my sons frames were discontinued, they still had several pairs in stock, available for shipment. I explained my situation and they said it should not be a problem whatsoever if they were under warranty. They went on to say that these frames normally come with a two year warranty. So, I contacted Trinity Eye Associates again and told them what I learned. Again they apologized and said they misspoke. They said although the company is still in business, the distributor who sold them the frames was no longer in business. I informed them that my warranty was a manufacturer’s warranty and not a distributors warranty. This was not my problem. It was their responsibility to honor what they sold me. They continued to apologize and went on to say that they were having a huge December in-store event and for me to come into the store with my son and they would take care of us and make us happy. So, in good faith I went to the store. My son picked out a similar frame, and so I assumed Trinity Eye Associates would honor the warranty that came with my purchase and that everything would be covered (no cost other than shipping). However, I was wrong. While they offered to not charge me for the new frame; they said that I would have to incur all other costs, which totaled more than $150. I was very disappointed and left the store. One year ago I was very pleased with my experience when purchasing my son’s glasses. Throughout 2014 I recommended several friends to Trinity Eye Associates. Now that they have failed to do the right thing and not honor my warranty, I will NOT recommend them and I will let my friends know about my negative experience as well.

Trinity Eye Associates is the best. I was unhappy with my previous eye doctor so I looked on my vision insurance website for local optometrists. I found Trinity Eye Associates, googled them, looked at their informative website and read reviews. I have very poor eyesight and wear rigid gas permeable (RGP) contacts. I called the office and asked if one of the doctors was better at fittings/testing for RGP contacts. The receptionist put me on hold, asked and came back saying Dr. Jill was. I made an appointment with Dr. Jill. She was very patient with me and asked me a lot of questions about my eyesight and vision. I told her I had always had halo’s around lights. She suggested we increase the size of my lens. I also told her that the red dot that usually indicates my right lens would wear off so she suggested making one contact blue and one contact green. Dr. Jill even went so far as filling out paperwork with my insurance carrier to see if the contacts could be deemed medically necessary. And my insurance approved it so the whole cost to me was my $10.00 co-pay. Dr. Jill assured me during the whole process that we would have 90 days to tweak my prescription at no cost to me or her. We started with an initial prescription that she wanted me to try for 10 days. I came in and we made a couple of adjustments and my I love my RGP’s. I have never seen better in my life. She also told me that the lens manufacturer was running a special to purchase a backup set for $150.00 so I did that too. I was so impressed with Trinity Eye Associates that 3 months later (new calendar year for vision benefits) both my husband and I went back and purchased glasses. I was seen by Dr. Jill again but my husband was helped by Dr. Don who also did an outstanding job. The office girls were very helpful to both of us in helping us pick frames that fit to our prescription and face. Recently I did lose one of my RGP contacts and when I put in the replacement lens I knew it wasn’t the right prescription. I went back in and Dr. Jill did some tests and we realized that my backup lens was from my initial set of contacts I tried and not the tweaked one. She ordered me a replacement lens that was correct and I just went and traded the contact out. Dr. Jill and Trinity Eye Associates have been so professional and pleasant to interact with. I am so glad we found them. I would highly recommend their office.

Wow, I wish I could give this establishment less than one star. These doctors have no idea what theyre doing. Just to give some background, I had emergency surgery for a detached retina about two months before I came in. I needed a new prescription since the surgery ruins your vision even more. I saw the reviews and decided to give Trinity a try. I wanted to get fitted for contacts and new lenses on my glasses. First off, they gave me the wrong prescription. It was off BY A WHOLE POINT. This was proven by my ophthalmologist one week later when I went back to see him for a checkup. Second off, they gave me a shape of my eye that was COMPLETELY off, which was also proven by my ophthalmologist. Third off, they sold me a years worth of contacts that didnt fit when I came in. My pupil in my detached eye is slightly bigger than my other pupil now after the surgery, which causes my pupil to go outside the optic zone of the contact and causes double vision. I asked them if theres anything they can do about this. They told me, "You just have to get used to the contacts. Theyre different now" and proceeded to sell me a years worth of contacts, promising me that theyd be fine after a while. They told me they had no contacts that could fit for bigger pupils, but my eye would surely get used to it. Well, here I am nine months later wondering why I still havent gotten used to them. I decided to try Special Eyes, a contact manufacturer who makes contacts with large optic zones for people like me, who then told me that Trinity is a dealer for Special Eyes. YEP, you heard that correct. They had it the whole time. They just didnt want me to go and return the contacts Ive already bought. Folks, skip out on this place. They want your money. If you have eyes like mine, definitely do no go here. Try Southwest Orlando Eye Care.

On April 27th I went to Trinity Eye Associates for an eye exam and to get new glasses. From the time I entered the door until I walked out I felt totally great about my experience there. I was greeted by Marsha, the resident optician, and she guided me through the screening and registration. She was very friendly and gracious throughout the process. I then saw Dr. Don Ellison, OD and had what I consider to be the best eye exam I have ever had! Dr. Don was thorough and meticulous during the exam. During his exam I was kept completely informed of what he was doing, what he was seeing and that what he was seeing was good. It was refreshing to be constantly aware of what was going on – no mystery! After the exam Marsha worked with me to select frames for my new glasses and sunglasses and helped me select options that would enhance my enjoyment of the new glasses. I particularly like the Transition Extra Active lenses on my regular glasses as they quickly change when going out into the sunlight and return to clear within a minute or so when coming back out of the sunlight. Thank you very much to both Dr. Don and Marsha for a great experience! I highly recommend Trinity Eye Associates to anyone who needs an eye exam and/or corrective lenses. Rich
