I moved into the area about a year ago and still hadnt found a vet. And by "found" I mean "looked" Then my baby got a bad tooth and my search went from "I should do this" to "need one NOW." Belle Isle was willing to fit me in first thing in the morning. Everyone was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. They were completely open about prices and almost every time would say "The options are A and B and A is $$ and B is $$" without me having to ask all the time (as I have experienced before). I mean for the dental work, they came IN with the estimates in writing... Do you know how much Ive had to fight for that at other vets? In my experience, their prices were fairly comparable, and from what they told me it sounds like they try to run specials pretty regularly to encourage people to take care of their pets properly and affordably. They were very patient with my questions about procedures and options. Basically, for something that was not a good time in my life, they made it the best possible experience.

I have been a client of Belle Isle for the past two years and just love it. I have 4 dogs of my own as well as two foster dogs. Since I do a lot of rescue work, I have the opportunity to interact with multiple vet clinics. Belle Isle gives very personalized and prompt customer service. The front office staff is welcoming and pleasant whether you are on the phone or in the clinic. You dont have to wait to get appointments and most times you can get in same day or the next day. The vet techs and doctors aare knowledgeable and attentive to your needs. They give compassionate care to all of my animals. They dont even use exam tables. They get down on the ground with the animals to put them at ease. They take the time to get to know you and your dog. I feel very comfortable with them and give Belle Isle Animal Hospital my highest rating.

I was loyal to this vet office for 4 years, then they decided to start charging me sick visit fees every time I came in, even if it was for the same issue as last time which they unsuccessfully treated. Not only that, but they did so many rounds of antibiotics and steroids, my dog developed a low immune system and started getting warts. When I emailed to let them know how bad I have been treated, I got absolutely no response. They do not care about the wellbeing of the FAMILY, which includes the owner. One time, my fiancé told a technician "Ive spent so much money here on this issue," and the technician said, " Its better to just not think or talk about it." Theyd like you to just shut up and keep throwing money at them. It used to be great. Things have gone downhill. Especially with the new doctor coming on board that we got stuck with.

The new owner at Belle Isle is great! Dr. Wolkow has been phenomenal to work with. I rescued a pup from Cobb County Animal Control that turned out to be pregnant when I got her. An unexpected litter is always a burden, but Dr. Wolkow has helped to make the process much less stressful. She has helped me find a way to keep both mom and the pups healthy without breaking the bank. She has even offered to help me find homes for the little ones. In addition to friendly, personal service, they have also completed a full renovation. Everything is new.. completely unrecognizable from the old building. I would highly recommend Belle Isle Animal Hospital and Dr. Wolkow. I can honestly say that the amount of compassion and understanding she has shown me and all the new members of my family has turned me into a raving fan! -J

I took my 15 year old cat, Stranger, in for what I knew was her last day on this Earth (9-19-2014). Stranger and I were new to the Atlanta area, so we didnt know where to turn to when she stopped eating and her health sharply declined. Belle Isle Animal Hospital confirmed from test results that Stranger was dying of cancer, and euthanasia was the more humane way to go. It was the hardest day of my entire life, but the staff at Belle Isle Animal Hospital treated her as if she was their very own from our first moment stepping in, to stepping out. Even after death, they picked her up tenderly and took care of her so I could take her remains to be buried at home. This office saw me at my very worst, I look forward to bringing my future kitty to them during my best.

Ive been taking my dogs to Belle Isle Animal Hospital since 2006 and I am quite please with all of the staff from the front desk manager, to the technicians to the fantastic doctors! Unfortunately, I had to make the very tough decision to let my 15 yr old cocker spaniel pass peacefully last summer and Dr. Unger could not have been more empathetic and helpful in guiding me to the right decision. Not to mention the fact the she did NOT encourage expensive and stressful tests to my sweet pup that "may" have given him only a couple of more months with me. My tiniest rescue dog has had her teeth cleaned twice at the hospital and they have always taken wonderful care of my little Mimi and my sweet, blind pup Macy as well. I couldnt ask for better care for my dogs!

I went here for the first time this morning; Im so glad I did! After looking at many reviews online I called and made an appointment at 7:30am and they were able to get me in at 8:30am! It had been a while since I had taken my pup to the vet and I was ready for the "owner shamming" that I thought I would receive. I said, its been a while I know thats bad... the response I got from Josh: youre here now and thats what matters. He was super sweet with my chihuahua. Then Dr. Wolkow came in, and she was just as nice! There wasnt any trying to sell me anything she didnt need and no pressuring about doing things that they think needs to get done in near future. Just honesty and genuine care about my pup. I have definitely found my new vet! Thanks guys!!

I will never forget one morning, I woke up to find my new puppy terribly, terribly sick. I had just adopted my dog a few weeks prior and did not yet found him a vet. At the time, we lived down the street from Belle Isle and when I called and told them what was wrong with my sick pup, they immediately made room to see him. Being a new mom I was a worried wreck. The staff at Belle Isle put all my worries to rest, with their kindness, patience, and professionalism. My baby was better in no time! I have actually moved to the other side of town, but we still continue to go to Belle Isle. There is no one else I could trust more with my the well being of 4 legged companion!!!

My wife and I love Belle Isle...mainly because our puppies love it. We had such a great vet in Birmingham that we were a little nervous looking for a new one after moving to Atlanta. We were referred here and are so happy with the service we get. Dr Wolkow & Dr Unger took such great care of my border collie when he had major surgery for a bowel obstruction last year. Hes not even afraid to come back after the whole ordeal. With all my travel for work, scheduling appointments for boarding is very easy. Its comforting to know I have a place for my dogs that will feel at home while away from theirs. Give them a shot...you wont regret it!
