DO NOT USE THIS VET!!! I HAD TO GIVE IT 1 STAR IN ORDER TO POST THIS, BUT THEY DESERVE 0! My dog sitter brought my dog into the emergency services at 12:00am and Dr. David himself refused treatment to my dog and she died 2 hours later. My dog sitter brought my dog in Animal Furist Medical Center because I was out of town. Of course it is not ideal to not be there with your animal, but I was out of town and IT WAS AN EMERGENCY! I was on the phone with them the whole time and he would not accept payment from me despite providing my credit card, ID and being on the phone giving my authorization. He said instead I need to have the dog walker added to my credit card or be there in person to give authorization. Again, IT WAS AN EMERGENCY! The dog walker even offered to pay on their credit card as long as they could get reimbursed when I came to town and physically presented my payment information. He still refused and backtracked on his criteria several times. So my dog is fighting for its life and you think we have time to wait the 7-10 business days to have my dog sitter added to my account and get a card sent to him or the 3 days until I arrive back to town from work. After he refused service the dog walker took my dog across town and I called the emergency vet at Cobb Emergency vet services and they accepted payment immediately over the phone after I emailed them all my information. Unfortunately it was too late! MY DOG DIED! The next morning I called to speak with someone. The sensitivity of front desk personnel was nonexistent, which added to my grief and disappointment and I couldnt get a word in edge wise with the Office Manager, who could use a course in sensitivity training given the profession she is in. There was no remorse or understanding which just infuriated me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE!!! Thank you Cobb Emergency Vet for at least trying to save my dog.

We used this vet when we moved into the neighborhood, before we learned how truly awful they are. A prime example: We got a puppy, she developed a growth on her left forepaw. I took her to this vet, he recommended immediate surgery and biopsy, warning that it could be a malevolent tumor that would kill the dog. Naturally I agreed. It cost $500, but it was saving the puppys life so it was OK. Soon after that we switched vets, for other reasons not related to this tale. A few months later, the puppy developed a growth on her other forepaw. I called our new vet about it, expecting to schedule another surgery. He told me not to worry, that this is common in puppies, and to call him back if the growth didnt go away within 3 days. Sure enough it *did* go away in 2 days. Animal Fur1st (or whatever, its such a stupid name) wanted to schedule that surgery immediately because they knew the growth would go away soon! They put this puppy through risky anesthesia and painful surgery, and left her with a scar as long as her forepaw, just so they could charge me $500. There was no medical reason whatsoever to do this surgery!

If you care about you pets....please dont take them to this hospital. First they are extremely unprofessional. It starts from the lady answering the phone to the main doctor who doesnt seem to have any emotions towards your pet. He will suggest that he operate on your pet no matter how minor the problem. I took my beloved dog (R.I.P) to him for neurological problems and he wanted to open her stomach to see what was wrong with her. I refused because there was no clearity is to why he wanted to operate on her sooo bad. They are all about just money and they will prolong the treatment. he also is very good and charging you more for everything and then reducing your price to regular price and act like he is giving you this great deal. When he doesnt know how to handle his customers he calls police on them and doesnt come outside to deal with it. Hes disgrace to all the professional vets out there. Please dont put your pets through this ordeal because your pets can tell you how bad this vet and his staff treats them. Many people have all their loved ones under this doctors care.

Dr. David and his staff are very professional and kind. They have always treated Blaze with kindness and dignity. Blaze had terrible issues with his coat and bowel movements. Dr. David gave me a great dietary plan, some free omega-3 fatty acids, and he is now stopped regularly by strangers and given compliments on his beautiful coat. The diet plan also helped correct his bowel movement issues for the most part. It is very expensive and laborious to diagnose the exact cause of IBD in animals. The causes for it, in canines, ranges from allergies, chronic gastritis, to certain types of cancer. I love my dog dearly, but I dont think I could bring myself to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to diagnose and treat the cause of his IBD. Dr. David understood this, and compassionately responded with the most holistic and aggressive treatment he could. Blaze also has very advanced periodontal disease. Dr. David has always given me a much fairer price than other atlanta vets (especially the big chains) in treating this condition.

Dr David & his staff are absolutely wonderful & caring people & I feel so grateful that my regular vet couldnt fit my kitty in & I got to meet them. From the moment we walked in, the girls all made Alister feel like a celebrity. They all held & hugged him & let him check out the office which was clean & smelled fresh. Al was seen for his annual check-up & was examined for a possible ear infection. The Dr gave him a complimentary shot of cortisone to make him feel more comfortable & prescriptions for his other needs. He went further to offer to administer his follow up medications free of charge to save me the potential trouble of giving a cat a pill to swallow. Ignore those 2 negative reviews. This is an extremely fun & loving staff who genuinely care about you & your beloved pets. Dr David will be my family veterinarian from here forward.

He has saved my sweet poms life- twice . Once after he was attacked by a pitbull and had a punctured chest, he performed emergency surgery and saved him. Then, 5 years later his hip was dislocated / broken and he made himself available to provide immediate surgery again. Which after doing research is the only option for this problem once its been dislocated more than 24 hours. Our vet is straightforward, honest, and there when you need him most.

Spayed my dog. Dog spay was dirty and poorly stitched. Took her to another vet that was more credible and they told me not to go back due to poor work. Overall staff was nice. But on edge. Doctor was kind of friendly . Exam rooms were gross. Never going back. Honest review
