Ive used Sandhill for the past 4 years, since I changed from another practice. My childrens primary doctor is Broussard. As the other rater mentioned, she is not the most socially adept doctor in the practice when it comes to adults. HER focus is on my children. She ALWAYS focuses on her patient, and sometimes this focus seems like she is not paying attention to the parent. She is, without a doubt firm with disruly children. Ive seen this first hand when my son was being a bit overactive (to say the least). However, she has always treated my children fairly. Moreover, she is a topnotch doctor. My mother-in-law has carried my children to this woman several times as well, and had this to say: "At first, I thought that Dr. Broussard was a bit uppity and rude, but after a few visits, I observed her interaction with my grandchildren. I completely changed my mind. She can treat me how she wants as long as she continues to treat my grandchildren with such love and care." If you are looking for pretty bedside manner, Dr. Broussard is not for you. If you are looking for a doctor who can care for your child with a firm yet loving hand, with a quick and intelligent mind, and with a wonderful backup nursing and reception staff, Dr. Broussard (and Sandhill Pediatrics) is the place for your child. On another note: I have seen dirty offices, yet NEVER at Sandhill. I have seen rude staff and even changed pediatricians three times because of the staff. Yet as for Sandhill, I love the nurses. They each know us by name. They have seen my children grow from birth. I love the receptionists (though you will be placed on hold if you call). And with the exception of one doctor (with whom I disagree about how often one should use medication to treat children), I would place my child in the care of any of the doctor at the practice.

This doctors office is horrible! The waiting area and exam rooms are disgusting. There is dirt all over the walls. It looks like it hasnt been cleaned in over a month. This was my sons first visit and I wont be back. The receptionists were rude and slow. They acted like it was a pain to do their job. The nurse was just careless and sloppy. Dr. Broussard was the pedi he saw and she was horrible. She walked out of the room while I was talking to her! She was just plain rude and disrespectful. Her bedside manners were ridiculous! She was snappy with me several times for no reason and she was very rough and rude with my 2-year-old son. She didnt even look at me while talking to me and I felt rushed the entire time. (we were only in the room about 5 minutes) She does not need to be in practice. Save yourself the trouble...do not take your child to this doctor!

I love sandhill pediatrics! I saw Dr Lamar when I was growing up so when I had my first son about three years ago it made sense to take him to Dr Lamar. Now that Dr Lamar has retired, I still take my kids to sandhill. The waiting area and exam rooms are always clean when I go and the staff is always polite and understanding. Ive never had any problems with them and will continue to take my kids to this office.

Since Dr. Gene passed, and Dr. Lamar left, this place has gone down hill. This.....place.....is......nasty! The majority of the nurses smell like ash trays, and the waiting rooms are in bad shape. We ended up going to Creekside in Douglasville!
