I had an appointment for my three children. Called to cancel appointment, and no one answered the phone. Went to the office to get Childs Nebulizer and to reschedule to find out the Administrator had slapped a $50 cancellation fee on for each child and unless I paid it I could not make another appointment. I explained the reason for my cancellation was due to an emergency and was given the Office Administrators phone number. Before I could explain, the Administrator told me that she was not going to remove the fees and they would stand because that was their policy. I explained I was a new patient and the policy was not explained by anyone and that now that I am being made aware can we remove the fees because of the circumstances. Her comment to me was the fees will stand "if it had been one child then yes but three children the fee will stand. Because it was a family." I feel like she was completely unprofessional and nasty and that what she said was a clear form of discrimination. My childrens appointment were at the same time but whether I had one child or three if the office never explained their policy, nor did they answer the phone when I tried to cancel, then deal with your staff on communication and not slap fees on your patients without true facts. To top it off, they refused to give me the information to the doctor that owns the practice when I asked. Now my children can not go to the doctors because of this and I will never recommend someone to them.

The office staff is slow, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. They do not return phone calls and have made me wait a week for a sick child appointment which defeated the purpose. I have dealt with several doctors at this pediatric association and none of them treated my children like they were important and worth the doctors time. If you have an appointment plan on a minimum two hour visit unless you have an afternoon appointment, in which case you will need to plan on being there until 6 pm or later. If you request documents it will take at least a month of calling and calling and visiting in person to receive the documents unless that is they have lost your childs file like they did to mine. My sister was lied to and forced to give her daughter an immunization that was later confirmed as NOT required and the doctor told the nurse not to listen to the parents when it comes to the children. I personally was told by the doctor that I should have not had so many children. my husband and I have four very beautiful children and if you love yours as much as we love ours do NOT use this doctors office

Just recently saw female dr in the group cannot remember her name. My son Daniel was ok with her because he pretty much speaks for himself. However my daughter was very unhappy with the visit and does not want to return she is 6. I thought Dr was good with the kids she didnt explain much or go very height and weight and where they are on charts or what is needed to do better for them. I have always liked ved this practice although when we used them last it was in Sandhill Pediatrics not Douglasville. We will continue with the practice because they always test and have done great for my son his whole life. Was very impressed with whatever I requested was checked.. we are still waiting on referrelas though for my daughter to see a specialist to find out if she is dislexic or may have other learning diablities. Overall pleasant visit. I will know to ask more questions next time to keep communication open with their new Dr or practioner.. not sure which she was. But I Do know if I demanded or asked of anything it was done other then referrals I was told would be done.

Yes, there are wonderful doctors here. They have a goldmine and should be able to afford a bigger office with a trained, professional staff. The last FOUR times Ive called for blood work results, appointments or important info on my sick child, I NEVER got a call back. The filing system is a MESS. I have gotten bills for $7.00 from office visits two years prior. My son had blood work over a month ago, and STILL have no call back on the results. I had to take him to another doctors office and they somehow retrieved the lab results from LabCorp. All these complaints (from others below) are infuriating, but one day, the staff is going to really mess up... and maybe after a nasty law suit, the doctors will wake up and take action. Its not the office staff to blame, its the DOCTORS. It is their responsibility to hire qualified and responsible personnel. COME OFF THE HIP POCKET AND HIRE SOME HELP. Childrens health is at risk!!!

There is a "doctor" who works there who is not listed as one of the doctors in DP and Associates. For the second time in a row, she has looked in my sons ears and said, "His ears look perfect!" I brought him to the doctor for a reason (because he was beating on his ears, a key sign of an infection) so the same week, I take him to an urgent care facility and the doctor says, "His ears are REALLY bad." So we know that they dont get REALLY bad over night. The first time, I thought maybe it could have appeared in that way but this time I know she does NOT know what she is doing. I told this to the doctor at the urgent care and he said that there is NO way a pediatrician could miss such a severe infection. I dont remember her name but she has curly red hair. Also, the place is barely open. Edgar Melendez is on the card but I have not met or seen him.

Our first and last visit to the office. The staff doesnt even acknowledge you when you walk in the door. If you need to sign in you are interrupting them. We were 20 minutes early for our appointment and they were 20 minutes late calling us back. Im already disenchanted by this point. The nurse who took us back was one of the two redeeming qualities, thus my 2 star rating. The nurse practitioner was the other star. They were both caring and compassionate towards my daughter and her ear infection. When we arrived at the pharmacy the prescription still hadnt "electronically transmitted". An hour later, no prescription. I call the office and all they can say is I will have someone call you. That was 2 1/2 hours ago. Dont waste your time with this place
