COULDNT WALK: Hard to rate as a place is as good as its Drs and staff. Staff have always been great. My mother and husband had care under D. Wall and it was excellent. I had care under Dr. Brunette. He did my first treatment of surgery on my hand. Was ok except he pulled the support pins out without any pain mgmt measures. Horrible pain! On next visit he MISSED BROKEN BACK!! Was sent back to him and asked by my primary dr to do an MRI for severe back pain. I couldnt even walk. He refused. Did an injection and put me on anti-inflammatory. I went back before my next appt because pain was worse and now it was in another area. He brushed me off and changed my meds to a different anti-inflammatory. He was very rude at this visit. The next morning I got an emergency appt with a different surgeon, not in this office. He did an MRI of both my back and hip. And found my back was broken and my spine had moved. It was pinching my spinal cord and my sciatic nerve! Even though I needed immediate surgery, I had to wait 2 more weeks for the anti-inflammatory to get out of my system. If I didnt have the surgery I was at a VERY HIGH risk of being unable to walk!! Just a note, Im not a complainer. My back had been broken for over a yr and I dealt with the pain and didnt even know.

I was referred from the emergency room to Dr Brunette to follow up for a broken foot. The 5th metatarsal of my right foot was broken and Dr Brunette convinced me to take a wait and watch approach. My problem was complicated by Diabetes and made healing a problem. After four months we agreed on surgery. In short my problem continued. Eleven months after the surgery the doctor pronounced me at MMI and released me back to work over my objections. Two years later I still suffer with the results of his surgery and aftercare. I would not have posted this but mine was not and is not a good outcome. In retrospect and fairness this was a WC case and I suppose he did what he had to do but Im the one with the bum foot and constant leg pain.

Misdiagnosed a broken foot for me in 2012. Even in the follow up, they said I didnt need an x-ray. After seeing a podiatrist in FL, he immediately could tell the foot was broken, did surgery to repair it, and I have been pain free ever since. My pod told me that I should NEVER have walked around in such pain for so many months with a misdiagnosis like that. I had a bad experience with them before that with a shoulder issue, but because of so few to choose from in Cartersville, I returned. Now I will drive to wherever else to stay away from these guys. Call me crazy, but I kinda like a bone doctor to be able to ACCURATELY diagnose a broken bone.

Dr. Cha did lamenectomy to relieve back pain in April, 2014. Did wonders for my pain. Dr. Atwell replaced my hip July 2014. I was ready to dance in within 3 months. I did what they told me for physical therapy and exercise and both were successful. Friendly and efficient staff. I have had to wait a couple of time for awhile due to doctor having emergency or a surgery with complications. I understand this as my own hip surgery took almost twice as long as expected due to unforseen circumstances. Just have to find a little patience sometimes if you want the best!

Had a right knee replaced February of 2014 w/o any problems and with excellent results. I am a retired Registered nurse of 44 years, so I am aware of good professional surgical results and good staff manners. I moved here from Tennessee 8 months prior to the surgery and was referred to Dr.Atwell and have never regretted going to him.

Excellent staff.No nonsense approach. Dr . Brunette replaced my left hip and now my right knee. Had the right knee done at the surgery center. Was out in physical therapy the next morning. Had 2 nurses with round the clock care. Much better than care being in the hospital.
