I took my dogs in a couple of weeks ago for check ups and vaccines. I am new to this area and was coming from Clayton, needless to say I was "misguided" by the directions that I got online and was very late for my appointment. I did call to let them know I had gotten turned around and would be late and to see if I should still come or if Id need to reschedule, they told me to come on and theyd still see us. We were right at an hour late and they still agreed to see us. I was VERY impressed with that. One dog is very confident, outgoing and has no major behavior problems. My other dog, however is a very nervous, high anxiety girl and we had lots of issues to discuss. When we arrived, I filled out the paperwork, they had their pictures taken and our info was put into the system. We did not have a very long wait at all. The staff was very easy going, kind and gentle with my dogs, especially with my nervous girl. Dr. Eddleman asked if I was comfortable with having the exams done by the student and if I had any questions or concerns she would be glad to step in; I said that was fine (everyone has to learn !!).The student was VERY thorough, very gentle and easy going. We talked for a while about the behavior issues my dog was having, things that Ive tried and she made some easy recommendations to help out. We were there for a long visit, but it was not spent waiting..the whole time we were there either one of the techs or the vet was in the room talking, explaining or examining my dogs. I really like the fact that when I brought up herbal supplements to try, the vet was very open and discussed that with me at length. She was knowledgeable about what she was recommending. I had to bring my nervous girl in for a follow up this past Monday (3/31/14) and was (on time!) greeted by the front staff cheerfully by name. We had only a few minutes wait before we were called back. Again, the staff was very professional, very caring and easy going with my dog. They took their time with her exam and gave her time to adjust to what we were doing. I discussed at length with the vet (student) how well the supplement that she recommended has been working, dietary concerns and issues with heartworms. I appreciate the fact that they take the time to explain everything, answer all of my questions, and let me know what I am doing right and what could be tweaked. I also appreciate that they give me information about my dogs issues and time to digest what weve discussed. I highly recommend Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital. I will definitely keep my companions as patients there.

Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital is the best veterinary hospital in North Georgia, hands down. Its basically the "one stop shop" for all of your pets needs, handling everything from a minor illness or injury to major surgery or even pet emergencies; they have a fantastic groomer, they have very nice kennel facilities for boarding. The front desk staff greet your pet by name (and usually with a hug or scratch on the back!), the vet techs are super friendly and patient with the animals, and Dr. Eddlemans quality of service cannot be beat. One thing that stands out about Dr. Eddlemans service is that she isnt going to just shove a pill down your pets throat or immediately suggest surgery - weve all been to vets who like to "pad the bill" by suggesting costly meds or surgeries right off the bat. Dr. Eddleman takes a different approach; she actually prefers to go the less-invasive (and less costly) route of changing diet or adding an herbal supplement to the pets daily routine, and only prescribes medicine or surgery when it is absolutely necessary. I appreciate that approach since I have multiple pets! And whatever Dr. Eddleman recommends for your pet is right there in the office; they keep a fantastic stock of herbal supplements, toys, flea/tick treatments, medications, and an extensive variety of food for a wide range of dietary needs. Another thing I love about Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital is that the facility is brand spanking new, so everything is "state of the art". And its obvious the staff keep everything super clean and shiny throughout the day; I have never seen a vet office with such clean, fur-free floors, windows, and kennel facilities! The staff clearly care about keeping the hospital sanitized. If youre in the Cleveland, Helen, Sautee Nacoochee, Clarkesville, or Dahlonega area and youre looking for someone who will give your pets the best care available, your search is over - its Dr. Eddleman and the amazing staff at Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital in Cleveland, GA.

The staff are very kind and compassionate at Mt Yonah Animal Hospital. My dog is very fearful of strangers and this fear is even worse at the Vets office. Dr Eddleman came out to the lobby to greet us. She saw how terrified my dog was, so she sat in the floor with her back to Abby. Abby started to calm down and approached Dr Eddleman as she sat there in a non-threatening manner. I appreciate her efforts at easing Abbys fear instead of rushing and increasing her anxiety. Early this year I took my ailing, elderly cat to their office. I had to make a very difficult decision regarding her care. Dr Eddleman gave me options and the likely prognosis. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and then gave me time to say goodbye. They were very gentle and compassionate in helping Hershey leave this life. I had my remaining cat in for a visit yesterday with Dr Crozier. Just now, I received a phone call from the office checking on my cat. The customer service is just outstanding! I highly recommend Mt Yonah Animal Hospital, they are awesome!

My experience was awful. I had called ahead of time to get a quote for my puppies 2nd set of shots and not only did I have to repeat so many times that this was his 2nd set of shots but I was also informed my bill would be roughly $58 bucks and it would only take 30 minutes (we were hoping for this because we were on our way out of town, which I told them). We got there and it took 1.5 hrs and my bill ended up being $110 dollars!!!!! I was livid, because I was given a quote over the phone and then they did not de-worm the puppy in front of us but charged us for it and I was told "it was probably done in the back" "Probably" then they did a fecal exam which NO ONE TOLD ME WAS EXTRA and prescribed my puppy medicine I did not consent to. Then they continuously kept feeding my puppy treats which we are trying to train him without over feeding him treats and this did not help at all. I felt it was very unprofessional and extremely poor communication from the animal hospital and we will not return.

We love Mt. Yonah. Having just moved to the area from a large city, we were worried about finding a good vet here. From our first visit, everyone at Mt. Yonah was very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is also super clean every time were there. Everyone weve met there has been great with our dog, and he actually loves going to the vet because he loves seeing his friends. Weve also used the groomer at Mt. Yonah and she was fantastic. It was our puppys first grooming appointment and she was very patient with him and did an amazing job. I could tell hed had a good experience and wasnt stressed at all when I picked him up. You can see from the pic he has a long coat, good grooming experiences are important. 5 stars all around.
