I deeply appreciate those who have given an honest evaluation of our services and we welcome any criticism that will improve our service to the community. In light of the few negative responses we have here we are taking those criticisms in account and reviewing our protocols with receiving clients. I’m sorry but some of these reviews have some inaccuracies that I would like to give an opinion on. It’s my opinion just as it is theirs. To Katrina Phillips I’m sorry your cat was so ill, I reviewed the record and he was indeed seen here and died while in the hospital. We are sorry for your loss but sometimes pets are at the point of death when brought in and clients are in an emotional state of mind and see things in a different way. You declined CPR and were not charged for the visit even though he was put into oxygen and received initial CPR until we could get authorization to continue. To Emily Clay and Leah Orange: I did not find records of a visit from either of you so either you used a different name or had us confused with another clinic you visited so I have no response to your concerns. To Tia Kennedy: I remember your visit, you came in very early in the morning and although you perceived we were in middle of a late night snack I don’t believe you actually saw us eat anything in front of you. I took extra time with you because you were the sole client in the building at the time and wanted to give you some extra service because of your genuine concern for the kitten with the upper respiratory infection you presented. Yes I did leave your presence but I was doing additional research on treatment to augment what your family DVM had already prescribed. It can seem like a long time while waiting as I have the same concerns when I’m at the doctor or dentist. You were here just over an hour and after reviewing the discharge instructions you were given explicit instructions on how to medicate your pet. I like to follow up on the less than average star ratings to make sure that we as a hospital serving the community need to make any changes in our services. Leah Orange was not a patient at this hospital. Emily Clay is also not listed as a client at this hospital. To Janice Goshin: your pet had potential exposure to five different medications that ranged from drugs that control blood pressure to opiates. You were not charged for taking your pets vitals as those were taken at admission even in light of fact you did not recognize that procedure. Based on the ASPCA poison control experts the most likely effect form any one of these for a dog was lowering of blood pressure. Your pet’s blood pressure was monitored and found to be in the normal range. You were not required to call poison control in order to be seen and your interpretation of that was inaccurate. The $65 you paid to ASPCA poison control saved your hundreds of dollars in tests and that is why we recommend that clients call in cases involving pet exposure to human drugs.

I took my 4 week old kitten to An Emerge for rapid breathing and refusing to eat or drink. I called before I left my house to let them know I was bringing him in. When I arrived it was raining and there was no one in the front to buzz me in. When she finally buzzed me in it was clear that the reason why it took so long was because I interrupted her eating a midnight snack. Once I was finally inside I filled out the normal paperwork and tried to tell her why I was bringing him in. She was so uninterested she walked off then came back out 5 minutes later still chewing on something...She then put me in a room and told me the vet would be right in, 15 minutes later the vet decided to come in and examine him. He left the room 3 times and took 30 minutes to come back in each time saying "Ill be right back". I guess I interrupted his dinner too. When he left the final time to get the kittens antibiotics, I waited 20 minutes. He didnt even bother to show back up, he sent the vet tech in who didnt offer to tell me how often to administer the medicine. I had to ask her and she looked at me like I was the stupidest person alive. It took me a total of 2 hours from beginning to end and my kitten was the ONLY patient there. I wasnt told if he was going live or not, I wasnt told if it would spread to my dog, I left there with more questions than answers. This was the most unprofessional vet staff Ive ever met. I was there until almost 2am so it would have been easier to just wait until the morning and take him to my normal vet. Oh and it was almost $200. I brought my kitten in knowing it would be about that much but I would have made the drive to Atlanta if I had known how awful An-Emerge would be. I wont make that mistake again. Unless its a true emergency either make the trip to somewhere else because it will take the same amount of time, or take him the your normal vet in the morning! However, I am thankful they were there to help, and hope that they were having an off night.

Wow! I just had the worst experience of my life with these people, holy crap Samantha the tech, grabs my cat, takes him to a back room and takes the time to close the door in this emergency situation, comes back out says hes not doing good(I get that, that is why Im here) but he was stabilized on oxygen, I asked to see my cat and that is when she went and got the Vet guy(never got to go behind the closed door to see my cat btw) Vet guy(wish I could remember his name) was explaining to me what was going on and Samantha yells need ya doc, he leaves behind the closed door "again takes the time to close that door in this emergency situation" and her comes Samantha, I am floored! she actually told me my cat was dead and if I wanted them to resuscitate him it would cost me around $500. Wait I thought he was stable on oxygen hum........What is wrong with these people? The last time I saw my cat was good ol Samantha grabbing him and him crying out "as she takes the time to close the door in this emergency situation" I told her to just give me my cat, they bring me my cat and begin to talk to me about autopsy(think I go to my vet for that) At this point I just want out of here so I give her my cc and say do whatever I just want out of here, and yes they were so kind to not charge me for the terrible treatment to me and my cat. Well I didnt sign anything...... Wish I wouldve just waited to go to my vet at least if my cat did die before then he wouldve been in my arms not Samantha the tech. People! Please beware of this place!!! I have never wrote a review before, but my god if I can keep someone from having to go through what I just went through.............. I get that you have to run a business and business cost, but DAMN have some manors and let people be with there pets if they are dying, dont try to rack up $$$$$ anyway you can because you know they offered cremation also........
