EXPENSIVE AND RECKLESS! DO NOT GO! I had been been under her care for almost a year and a half before a switched. I will never go back to her and I am angry with myself that I didnt leave her care sooner. She is only in it for the money and she is highly reckless in her care. I only discovered her recklessness until leaving her care to go into anothers. She prescribed a medication without doing the proper health tests to ensure it is safe for my personal use, as it can cause some serious side effects (hypotension and potassium/magnesium/electrolyte imbalances). She only monitored my blood pressure and never once tested or mentioned the need for blood tests. Additionally, the medication is also not highly recommended and prescribed for my age group (20s). She didnt consult with me about any of the side effects of the drug at all either. She didnt inform me that it is most effective and comfortable when taken with oral contraceptive. I had problems with my period as a result of the drug, and she only informed me of the option of birth control until several months after taking it. She also recommended facial chemical peels to get ride of my lingering acne scars when my new dermatologist said that the same retinol home-care I have been doing would gradually continue its effect over time, and I therefore dont need to go through that drastic of a procedure and I certainly dont need to spend that much money on it. Dr. Shah also only recommended the expensive products that she sold rather than over-the-counter products. My new dermatologist recommended an over the counter Neutrogena face wash thats only $5 but Dr. Shahs product costs much more than that. She also prescribed the use of a Vitamin C pad to use as my toner, which is $30 per container. Such a waste of money since my new dermatologist said that toners have no proven effect in acne treatment. It was somewhat evident during Dr. Shahs care, but much more evident now that she is concerned about getting as much of your money as possible, and isnt as concerned as she should be with her patients wellbeing. She may be a good diagnoser, but she is not a cognizant prescriber at all. Do not go here. Go to Derick Dermatology. They have a much better understanding of what they are doing, and much more of a concern for patient wellbeing. They also have a very nice demeanor when interacting with patients. Dr. Shah can be aggressive and condescending.

Dr. Shah prescribed an antibiotic for me. 2 days later, after a hard workout, I began to experience severe swelling in my left calf. I’ve read that antibiotics can cause tendon flare-ups (specifically in this area), so I called Dr. Shahs office and gave my symptoms and history. I was given no feedback from the office at all other than, “If you want any information, you have to make an appointment. We can see you next week.” Clearly nobody with any medical training ever received my message. If they had, the obvious response would have been, “You need to go to the ER right now.” With no guidance from my doctors office, I was left to my own internet-guided intuition on this thing. It really felt exactly like a pulled muscle, and I went on assuming I was having a reaction to the antibiotic. Days later I discovered that I had a bad case of DVT (blood clot) in my leg, a part of which had broken off and moved to my lungs. Is it Dr. Shah’s fault that I didn’t go to the ER earlier? No. Would I expect this kind of symptom to receive attention from my doctor’s office when I tell them about it over the phone? Of course. I was released from the hospital and called Dr. Shaw’s office to ask for an email so I might alert someone beyond the doltish receptionist that their policy of “Dr. Shah talks to nobody, receives messages from no one”, might be in some cases flawed. I explained the above story and the response was literally, “If you are having problems with your prescription, you can call the nurse. Her hours are…” It was bizarre. Like talking to a robot devoid or deprived of the ability to think for itself. Like so many folks have said: Do yourself a favor. Select a different dermatologist.

Dr gave me a whole 3 mins of her time and examined from 4 feet away. I explained my medical history in terms of skin issues. It seems to of went in one ear and out the other. Dr is very pushy in terms of sticking to what she wants you to use. What she wants you to use as products with her name. Generic stuff which has been relabeled with her name. I must say I will not be going back and recommend looking else where.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shah for the last seven years. I have had numerous skin conditions treated during that time and have been very happy with how the conditions improved under her care. She is an excellent diagnostician. I highly recommend her as a doctor whose first priority is patient welfare. Love the Vitamin C serum and pads by the way!

Ridiculously unprofessional provider! Called a 5 year old child "ugly" on a public forum because the father of the child was a physician with differing views on vaccines. By looks of her other reviews, her personality isnt the only thing lacking. Do yourself a favor, find a credible dermatologist in the area.

Dr. Shah argues for a link between vaccines and autism, and in arguing for it she took to social media to attack the looks of another physicians 5 year old daughter, calling her "ugly". Is this the type of caring, professional doctor you want treating you and your loved ones?

You should be ashamed that a doctor who should be a caring individual would post such shameful comments on a public forum and calling a 5-year old child "ugly". I hope your practice fails!

Ive always had a great experience with Dr. Shah and the treatments she has provided. Even though Ive moved away from home, I still make time to schedule a check-up every time Im in town.

Well, she called a 5 year old ugly on a podcast and likewise commented that she thinks vaccines have some link to autism while referring to herself as a physician.

This "doctor" is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend going to someone who is rude, obnoxious, and lacks compassion for others.
