Underwhelming customer service. Incompetent staff. 1. Went in for emergency walk-in visit and was told by the receptionist theyd already had an emergency visit that day. (Um, sure, next time well schedule our emergency in advance with your office??) If you cant handle dental emergencies, please dont advertise that you can. 2. We were told wed have to wait at least an hour. Understandable, we didnt have an appointment. However, during our wait no one made an attempt to update us. No "were going to get you in just as soon as we can" or "hang in there, the dentist will see you right after this cleaning." Instead everyone behind the desk did all they could to avoid making eye contact with us while we waited. 3. Husband was finally seen by dentist and told he needed to go to ER. We went to ER. Because of husbands high-risk status, ER did what they could for the infection and warned us a tooth extraction was needed ASAP. Discharge paperwork said to schedule with a dentist within two days. Called Aspen to make the appointment, explained who I was and why I was calling and was put on hold. After a lengthy hold time, someone picked up the phone and put me back on hold without talking to me. I continued to wait. Eventually, I got an automated disconnect message and the call was terminated. 4. I called back, explaining who I was and that my previous call was disconnected. Different girl answered and said, oh yes, I remember you from yesterday. She did my husbands x-rays. No apology for being ignored on hold, but she explained that they couldnt do the procedure today or tomorrow despite the discharge orders from the ER. In frustration, I said "Im just trying to make an appointment for as early as possible." She finally gave me a date 8 days out. At almost every point I felt like the staff thought wed go away if they just avoided dealing with us long enough. Wish granted, but itd wouldve been nice if theyd just said they couldnt (or wouldnt) help us from the beginning. To be fair, I had a WONDERFUL experience at the Aspen Dental location in Avon, IN before I moved to IL. Theyre the whole reason I decided to give this location a try. Never going back there again.

Zero Stars!! Do not make the mistake of having dental work done at his location!!! This office billed my insurance for work that was never performed!! An incompetent dentist, Thomas Seretis, made faulty dentures, and when they caused the abutments to continue to fall out, he blamed the hospital that did the implants. The implants were checked by the hospital and they even put a temporary abutment into the implant to show him that everything was good with the implants. I came back in to have Seretis put the abutment back in, and after it took him several tries to get the temporary abutment out successfully, he said he had to order the new one, hed call me later in the week. Its been almost 4 weeks and I now see a new fraudulent insurance claim for modification of dentures that was never done and he has never called to put back in the abutment that he took out to hold my denture in. His work is shoddy, his office manager Jen is a liar who every time I call simply says that the abutment is on order, and the office person Brittney lied directly to my face at the time they were supposed to put the abutment in and ended up ordering it. She had me sign paperwork that said something about charging me for the visit, when I said to her "there should be no charge for this visit to replace the defective abutment", she specifically said, "Thats right, this is just allocating what you have already paid out for the denture". Apparently they wanted to charge for their defective work, and billed my insurance fraudulently as if they were going to modify the denture, which is fine and needs no modifications, and have not done ANY work on it , yet they fraudulently bill insurance!!! So they are waiting until they get paid by the insurance company, for work NOT DONE, before calling me back about replacing the screw-in abutment that they took out!!! Liars, thieves, fraudulent shysters!!!!

After the delivery of my 3rd baby I ended up breaking two teeth all within a couple weeks of each other. With only 1 1/2 weeks left of my maternity leave I needed to get into some where as soon as possible. I contacted Aspen Dental after hearing wonderful things about them and was scheduled for my consultation a few days later. By the end of my consult I was very well aware I had more than just a couple broken teeth to deal with. They set me up with Josh (the office manager) to go over my treatment plan and by the end of it was told my final bill would be around 5700.00. I was shocked!!!! He got me set up with Care Credit that would allow me to make affordable monthly payments which put me at ease about what I would owe. He squeezed me in to every available opening and cancelation to make sure I wouldnt need to take time off of work after my return. This included convenient Saturday morning appointments as well as Tuesday evenings. After some pretty bad experiences with other dentists I was terrified with everything that needed to be done. The staff was very reassuring and let me know everything was going to go just fine. Everyone at Aspen dental has been so friendly~ You can not put a price on quality work and great customer service and that is exactly what you receive from the moment you walk in their doors to the moment you walk out. I have finally found my family dentist and plan on referring anyone in need of one to Aspen Dental. Ive got my smile back!

How often can an individual give a very favorable report about a visit to the dentist office? Of all the experiences that an person can encounter a visit to the dentist has to be high on the "Do Not Like" list. This has been my experience for over 55 years. Not so this time! Aspen Dental in Champaign presents a friendly, helpful and caring presence. Every individual went out of their way to make my first visit as enjoyable as a visit to a dentist could possibly be. They were solicitous of my concerns, asking questions to help allay any fear or concern I might have. I felt cared for! Although the procedures were typical of what you could expect, they took time to make sure that I was as comfortable as could be achieved. The business office experience was straight forward, no hidden costs or procedures. They "took me through" all the costs and what the insurance company would pay and what I would pay. Refreshing. Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the visit was that I was able to schedule my procedures according to my timetable. OKAY, no visit to the dentist could possibly be given a "10". However, the professionalism, efficiency and friendliness of this group is surely a "10"! No more need to "grit your teeth" and endure the visit. Take advantage of their expertise.

Absolutely was appalled by the service I received. Yes I was a new patient, but when I call you the day before my appointment and give you my insurance info like you requested I expect you to have it entered and done by the time I arrive to my appointment. But no you still asked for all my info and made me wait 20mins in the waiting room so you could get my dental insurance. I understand paperwork must be filled out when you are a new patient, I had no problem with that but when you make me wait 20mins after the start of my appointment because you failed at your job to properly enter my insurance info then I start having a problem. My appointment was at 12pm and while I was waiting to see someone for 20mins two ppl that just showed up were able to go right in and see someone. I find your wait time very unacceptable. Then once I was able to finally be seen by someone. You set me in a chair and then waited additional 15mins to be seen by an actual doctor. It was a slow rainy day, it shouldnt have taken me two hours for just a few x-rays and a consult. I am very appalled by the quality and service I received by Aspen. I will not be going back. At all. You honestly dont deserve a star at all but in order to post this I have to give atleast one star.
