Dr. Rafael taught me things about keeping my eyes and contact lenses healthy that I had never heard from any other eye doctor in the past - very impressive! Her staff is friendly and very helpful in explaining their procedures, costs and insurance policies. Eye insurance is something new to me so the help provided in navigating this areas was extremely helpful. I even found a pretty blue pair of glasses to order right in the store upon my exit. Six months later...turns out my cat decided to bite tiny holes in my lenses while I was asleep and, you know, not feeding him. Upon returning from the lab to confirm their condition, Chicago Eyes offered me the option to purchase insurance on the pair of eyeglasses that I had already purchased over six months ago. As a college student who desperately needs to save every penny she can, this was incredibly helpful and a greatly appreciated gesture. Thanks to Chicago Eyes, I will have my lenses repaired in less than a week, and it wont cost me an arm and a leg - a million "thank yous" to Dr. Rafael and to her team. Ive had to wear eyeglasses since I was in pre-school so finding the right eye doctor when I moved away from home was crucial. I highly recommend Chicago Eyes to anyone looking for outstanding service and to gain knowledge of their eyes and eye-care options.

I stopped in as a walk-in hoping to get an appointment and the staff was very courteous and helpful! The service was EXCELLENT! They were able to squeeze me about an hour and half later. I was in no rush so ran a couple of more errands and returned. Both the doctor and staff were very efficient in helping me understand my benefits given it was the 1st time I was using my new insurance. They were both very thorough in explaining my eye condition, the exams that were going to take place and the type of lenses I would best benefit from and how to use them once I received them since I need transitional lenses. Both the staff and doctor were very helpful with assisting me choose from a variety of frames and offered helpful suggestions. I later asked to add transitionals to my lenses and Karla was awesome! She reached out to my insurance and made sure it wasnt to late to add. They also gave me a heads up on the turn around time my insurance would take to get my new pair of glasses in. Im glad I chose to come here despite the recent reviews.

Went in to get an eye glass eye exam, because my insurance covered either an eye glass or contact exam. Looked at frames and finally picked out a pair. Could not get a straight answer out of them on what it was going to cost me. They said they would have it figured out when I came back. Are you kidding?? Fortunately I demanded a total before I made the purchase. Surprise, an extra $89 for contact lense exam! Why would I have a contact lense exam if I am getting lenses??? Decided to take my business to another establishment. Called in a few days later to get my prescription faxed to new provider. After four phone calls and 90 minutes, the fax comes in. Six months later called to get my contact lense prescription faxed to another provider. "Sir it will take me about an hours to get to that." Why would it take that long I asked. "It is not a priority sir". I suggest you stay away, as far away as possible. It is time businesses live up to basic service expectations.

Overpriced, low quality glasses. I went in for what was supposed to be a $10 check up. They performed a bunch of extra tests without telling me they werent included in the checkup and then charged me $50. Then I picked out some good lenses with extra features like scratch resistant coating, etc. It was really expensive even with insurance. (Now, when I realized they were overpriced, I tried to cancel same day, but they wouldnt let me.) But now, having paid so much, you would expect good quality, right? Nope! This is my 5th month and without any rough handling of the glasses, there are spots and scratches on the lenses. So much for that overpriced scratch resistance... A small accidental drop also cracked one of the lenses. The polycarbonate lens is supposed to be impact resistant... I dont recommend purchasing glasses from them.

I was gonna give 4 stars because I had to wait to see the doctor for 30 minutes. However, each of the two customer-facing staff members were very polite and friendly and were conscientious of each of the 3 customers they had in the store. Once I got in to see my optometrist, she set me at ease and was completely present and engaging in what my intentions and expectations were for the exam. I had some anxieties and lots of questions. She handled them expertly. She also is always up front about how to best manage ones eye health and how to maximize health benefits. My one on one time with the staff and doctor was exceptional and was worth the extra half hour wait.

I was able to set up an appointment online for this facility wich it was super convenient for me, they called me to confirm my information right away, they also were able to utilize my insurance, i was in desperate need of contacts and they gave me something the same day while my order was shipped, i also got a great pair of glasses from their extensive selection but not only their products were great also the Dr was very knowledgeable and the satff paid a lot of attention to my needs i can say that my visit to this place was by far the best experience Ive had in an eye place so far.

very professional people they know exactly what they are talking about they have all the answer to any questions i had they even give you advice on what is better option for you i used to go to PV and LC they are good too but this place is as good as them but in my experience they surpass my expectation and to top that its convinient for me coz its 2 city blocks from my house so all in all very satisfied with my visit with that being said i would recommend them to anybody for sure ;-)

Environment is very relaxing, and staff is very friendly. I found the appointment moved very slowly, but perhaps only because several of the staff were new and learning their jobs. Either way, the staff were very courteous and friendly, and helped me select a pair of glasses without making me feel pressured to buy a certain pair.

Thorough exam but I felt that I was being pushed to buy expensive versions of frames I liked and the fee for the exam should have been communicated before the appointment. But nice staff!
