I am not an employee of Village Vet, simply the owner of dogs present and past that are patients there. The vets there are competent and friendly. One of our dogs went to another local vet for a total of one visit. She tore some tendons at the groomer on a holiday weekend and Village vet was already closed when we brought her home. We took her to the other vet because I had a friend that worked as a vet tech there. All they told us was that she was in pain and gave us a brace instructing us to bring her back in a week. We did and they told us she was progressing exactly as they wanted her too. She was still in a lot of pain so we brought her back to village vet and they explained what should have been done. The process probably wasnt offered to us because of the price. She was 2 years old at the time and loved to run. She never ran again because we took her to the wrong vet. Later in her life she got sick again. The vets ran a series of tests on her and figured out she had lymes masking a gland infection masking cancer. The fact that they took the time to find the cancer through 2 other masking diseases was amazing to me. My dogs will never go anywhere else as long as I live in Medford. My one complaint about Village Vet is that I really do wish they had emergency services over the weekend. If only because my family tends to rescue very energetic dogs that love to run and jump and sometimes end up hurting themselves with a tree branch/concrete bird bath to the face or something.

I think the positive reviews of this vet must be from the employees. Weve taken our dog here for skin irritation. We went 3 times over a years time and not much was done. The first time they explained it was probably an allergic reaction to something, so we changed his food (and recieved pain medication). A few months later it was progressively getting worse, so we went back and paid the 40$ for the office visit but they just prescribed another 100$ in pain medication. The third time my girlfriend took him and they did the same thing. Two weeks later we took him to bainfield and they ran blood, did a skin scraping and asked a bazillion questions to figure out what was wrong with him. They also gave him a steroid shot which seems to help his itching temporarily, and now we are waiting for a blood test to come back. They also found an ear infection which they said was extremely bad and irritated. I dont think this vet gives each dog enough time, they just sign you in, send you to a room, and look for a quick fix. Go somewhere that will spend time trying to figure out the problem with your animal, instead of looking for the quick fix

My family and I have been going to village vet for about 17 years. All of our cats and dogs go to this vet. We have had great experiences with Village Vet. My dog has had a few surgeries for lumps, my other dog had to get his declaw removed. Dr. Massaro performed both surgeries and he is ALWAYS so thorough. My older dog has had elevated liver levels and Dr. Massaro has also been very thorough with explaining the medical terms. We choose to do anitbiotics with a method of milk thistle and he was supportive of the milk thistle idea and now my dogs liver levels are back in normal range. I had to put my first pet (cat) down about 2 weeks ago and Dr. Lipman was SO kind and helpful with the situation and procedure. She really helped put me at ease which during these times its very hard to think clearly and we always second guess our decisions as our animals age because we want them around forever. I love this vet and so does my family and highly recommend them. Dr. Pehrman is also wonderful and we have had the pleasure of having her during our yearly checkups. All 3 of them that we have had are very thorough with our animals examinations.

Do not trust them, I went to them for years to take care of my dog, they made a big mistake with a med they prescribed. The way it was prescribed was for a human form of the med, which can be toxic to a dog. After notifying the owner Dr. Lipman, she would not admit her vet made a mistake and blamed it on the pharmacy. They need to tell people when a pets medicine needs to be gotten at a pet pharmacy, and not a human pharmacy. Dr. Lipman even said, that it was illegal for a regular pharmacy to fill a pets prescription, which is not true! Cost me money to have blood test rerun to see if my dog was affected by it, thankfully she wasnt. When Dr. Lipman found this out, she stopped calling to ask me how my dog was doing, guess she was worried about a law suit. Just dont want this to happen to anyone elses pet.

My family has used Village Vet for at least 20 years (probably closer to 25). They have diagnosed and treated some extremely rare conditions our dogs have encountered over the years (Rocky Mountain spotted fever anyone?) and are extremely diligent in their routine checkups. I wouldnt trust taking my pets to anyone, but Village Vet. Im sure those who have had a bad situation occur with their pet feel better blaming the vet, but sometimes theres nothing you can do. These docs know what theyre doing.

We have been using Village Vet for over 20 years and could not be happier. They are caring, thorough Doctors. Dr. Lipman is usually who I see and she is amazing. Caring, knowledgeable and has always made the right decisions regarding our pets. I have also seen both Dr. James Massaro and Dr. Andrew Massaro and have felt very comfortable that both these physicians truly cared about our babies and gave us incredible care.

I have used Village Vet for over 14 years and other members in my family have used them even longer. They are extremely caring and very good at what they do. Additionally, when there have been more serious issues involving my dogs that could get quite expensive, Dr. Massaro gives all of the treatment options but often recommended the least expensive. I have always found their prices to be very reasonable as well.

We now live 40 minutes away from medford and have tried other vets closer to us but keep ending but going back to village vet. They are compassionate, well educated doctors and the support staff are amazing. Over the years we have tested their knowledge quite a bit. From bladder stones, to broken legs, to cancer...they have been right on the money each time.

Weve been bringing our dogs here for 15 years and have nothing but the highest praise for everyone here. From the reception desk to the techs and the doctors everyone is highly professional and very caring. Our dogs have always gotten the best care and excellent medical attention. Dr. Jennifer Pehrman is our favorite but everyone here is highly recommended.

Ive been bringing my pets to Village Veterinary Hospital for 17 years, theyve been wonderful . The doctors and staff have shared in my joy as I welcomed a new pet into my life, offered me guidance during times of illness and provided me with comfort during the final visit. Thank you for years of wonderful care, I highly recommend them for your pets care.
