I had went to this place due to a recommendation from my neighbor. I was new in town & really loved my old vet. I had given this place a few tries before deciding to go elsewhere. The staff at the reception counter always seem "too busy" to acknowledge me & werent the warmest bunch of people. The prices were a bit steep and the couple of doctors that I did see just didnt have that mannerism that I prefer for my pets. What mannerism you may ask? The kind where you feel they really are animal lovers...where they greet your animal with petting & sweet talk. Just seemed a little institutionalized to me. I ended up taking another recommendation & took my pets to Mokena.

The staff are efficient and there is no problem getting an appointment quickly if your pet is ill. The other reviewer is mystifying to me. I have met both vets with my dogs and they are the nicest, most caring people. Glensted Animal Hospital came highly recommended to me from a few people, one a dog trainer and the others neighbors. We had moved to the area a while ago and had been driving to our old vet 10 miles away. Finally decided to try Glensted and have been very happy with them. As far as prices, they are comparable with what I was paying at the old vet, so I wouldnt call that expensive.

I dont know what the other user was thinking. He or she probably is hard to please and extremely ignorant. Some people will say anything to be a jerk. I have been going to Glensted my entire life and so has my father. Dr Campbell and dr Ammirati are the two best veterinarians in the Chicagoland area. They have perfected multiple surgical techniques and other clinics in the area call them for advice! They are very personable and truly care about the animals. They practice alternative care and are real animal lovers. They even take in strays. I love this place and cant recommend it enough!!!

Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? My husband and I think the world of the vets and their staff. Dr. Campbell is so kind, generous his time & explains everything to us so that we feel confident when we leave that we know how to proceed with a sick pet. Our beagle Benny lived until he was almost 20 yrs and I know that his care kept him eating and walking until the end. I always recommend Glenstead Animal Hospital when asked, "Where do you go for vet care?"

I have been going to Glensted Animal Hospital with my "fur-kids" since 1990. I cannot say enough about the staff, they welcome you, treat your pets like they belong to them, and always fit you in when you have an emergency. Dr Campbell is, in my opinion, the best vet...ever. He is knowledgeable, kind, takes his time (youll never feel rushed) and always follows up, even on Sunday! I highly recommend Glensted Animal Hospital.

I have been bringing my animals to Glensted for at least 15 years. I have a dog that is aggressive towards new people and the staff at Glensted took the time to work with him and gain his trust. We no longer have to muzzle him while at the vet and he loves the staff. Dr. Campbell and Dr. Ammirati take time to make you feel welcome and they truly care about your pet. Ive used the grooming services also and they were great.

Our cats are like family, and the people at GAH understand that feeling. Dr. Campbell is a kind, gentle man with great "table side" manner. He explains what is going on, and takes the time to personally call with updates. Our most recent visit came after having to call his home on a Sunday, and he returned the call promptly. Our cats will always go to GAH for their care!

Ive been taking my dogs to Glensted for years. Drs. Amaratti and Campbell are the best! They are so knowledgeable, compassionate, and are without a doubt the best vets in the area. The vet techs are great, especially Kristin. The office staff is wonderful - very caring and helpful, especially Camille and Jenny.
