I was told by Ellen so called manager lady with the blonde hair at the front desk receptionist that drop off was at 7 am. I arrived with my rabbit at 7 am..knocked on the windows because I saw Ellen and the tech..Ellen had a attitude as she opened the door. She told me that they opened at 7:30 and I was not told that because she is the one who scheduled. If she was the manager she was very unprofessional and rude. I apologized twice for the misunderstanding she said I get very frustrated when people accuse me of things. She said you just cant come in here acting like that. I think this lady woke up on the wrong side of the bed that is not how you talk to people. She slammed the paperwork on the counter and gave me nothing but attitude. I apologize again and she was still rude. I will never go back to this place again. The tech was the only person who was pleasant.. I even think the staff is racist I wouldnt be surprised. Its a shame because they have great prices and friendly animals but horrible staff.

We took our dog to fox valley animal welfare league two weeks ago and the entire experience was terrible. From the minute we walked in they were unfriendly and did not reassure us about the surgery. The same day we picked our dog up after surgery the remaining sac was swollen and turned black. The next morning he was taken to our regular vet who told us the skin was dead and would most likely become necrotic. We have since had to take him to the ER, and our normal vet many times. This has costed us an additional $350 dollars thus far and we now have to get another surgery to remove the necrotic area. We called the fox valley animal welfare league today and informed them what happened, and the doctor was arrogant and rude insisting that he did nothing wrong and that they would not do anything more for us. We would never recommend this place to anyone especially for all the pain it put our little guy through!

These people DONT care anything about "helping" people with their pets! They just keep telling you theyre backed up til (2-3 months later) january call then, ya call and they say call in a week on Tuesday when the doc is in, ya call and they say theyre booked til march and then if you question it they get nasty with you, drop the phone adn hand it to their supervisor and tell him you were nasty with them then he gets on and doesnt even listen to you and hangs up! then ya call back and they say youre not welcome there and theyll call the police on you!?! Fact ia, I probably got some chic who was in a twist but the guy knows us very well and never in the past was there issues, they WERE nice and helpful IN THE PAST, and they threw that up in my face too! I will NEVER subject my pet to those JERKS again and will be reporting them to the BBB.

Our new puppy came with a certificate to FVAW for his neuter. After reading some reviews, I was a bit skeptical. However, I found the staff at FVAW to be very informative and pleasant both on the phone and in person. YES.. they take in many animals in one day. YES.. they are very busy at check in and pickup time. But they got the job done, and my dog was ready for pickup when they told me he would be. We also have another dog that needed a cyst removed. They performed that procedure on the same day, AND at a fraction of the cost of what other vets had quoted. All incisions looked fine, and seem to be healing quite well. And even though we purchased pain meds for both dogs, neither seemed to need it. Overall a good experience.

I think they did a great job, I got my 6 month kitten spayed and for obvious reasons she was in distress but still seemed comfortable after the fact. She ate right away and there was no change in her attitude. Its a really affordable clinic and from what I hear if it is Volunteer based clinic then kudos to the doctors or nurses / vets who care enough to donate their time, it means they care about your pets. If they seem busy or moving fast its probably because they are really busy but it doesnt stop them from answering any questions you have. I would recommend this clinic for your pet and I would visit them again. Thanks

I recently got my rabbits spayed and neutered here. The staff were all friendly and the office was very clean. After getting spayed, my rabbit started biting at her incision, which is rare. Dr. Susan Brown came into the office on her day off at a time that was convenient for us, to examine our rabbit. She explained to us why this was happening and what we could do to help our rabbit. She even made us a homemade collar to prevent her from biting. She gave us more pain medication free of charge. I can not say enough good things about Fox Valley Animal Welfare League. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I have read the negative reviews and trust me when I tell you that these are just a few bad apples. My experience with this clinic was nothing but exceptional. The staff there is pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It is impeccably clean as well. I called and left a message to get my two kittens spayed and was called back to make an appointment within a few hours. In person, when I dropped off my kittens and when I picked them up, the process couldnt have been easier. I would recommend this business to ANYone. Extremely happy. :)

HORRIBLE!!! Please dont subject your pet to this place, if they treat human beings like trash, I cant even imagine how the animals are treated. The fake blond at the front desk was not only incompetent but nasty, and rude. The "director" has no leadership skills, no compassion, and frankly no common sense! There are other places in Aurora that truly offer exceptional customer service that treat people with common decency and respect and genuinely cares for your pets. VCA, Naperville animal hospital, banfield to name a few.

I dont know what we would have done without these God sent people! Our chihuahua developed a large cluster of bladder stones that completely filled her bladder and it was dyer that they be removed surgically! We didnt have the $1000 that was quoted for the surgery and we were planning on having to put the poor girl down. The animal welfare performed the operation and spayed her for about a tenth of price; saving the dog and our peace of mind! Thank you Fox Valley Animal Welfare League!

I absolutely love this place, they are extremely nice and very helpful. I got my cats fixed here and had shots done and every month I return to get my flea treatments and every time I go they always have a smile on there face and are very helpful. And the price is just another great deal.

The gentleman that answered the phone at 3 pm today was disgusting. What a shame. Im sure they dont care about my review either, but they should care how we are treated absolutely disgusting. As a business you should be concerned with those that represent your facilities.
