I went in for a slipped disc that was pinching my nerve. The dr was more concerned with my "long term goals" and what I would like to do in my life than treating me. I was in so much pain and couldnt walk and he refused to treat me the first day and wanted me to come back the next day or later that evening. I questioned this and told him it was a 30 min drive and I was in pain. Wish he would have been more concerned about my pain and care than what type of activity I would like to do more of in the future. When he called later that evening and I told him how very disappointed I was, he did not care. I went to Hoekstra Chiropractic at 103rd and Central instead and was treated and had pain relief within the hour after leaving Essential. I do not recommend Essential if you are in need of immediate care or have serious problems.

I have had vertigo that comes from my neck, not my inner ear, for 2 years. I was having a horrible episode, lasting 3 days straight when I went to see Dr. Rory McKenna. He has been fabulous! He treated me twice a day for 3 days and then once a day for a couple weeks. It has been 4 months. The longest I have gone without a reoccurrence. I wasnt able to do push ups because the room would begin to spin for at least the past year. I am back to doing push ups! That is a big deal to me. It tells me my neck is finally aligned and getting stronger. Thanks to Dr Rory McKenna and his sweet, kind and loving staff, I am getting better! Thank you so much Dr Rory! You are the best! An excellent adjuster and a wonderfully kind and sympathetic soul. God bless you!

Ive been going here since May of this year and the care and customer service are awesome. Ive received chiropractic care before and can actually compare and definitely i dont want to switch. Dr. McKenna is great. He knows what hes doing. His staff is also great! Theyre attentive and always ready to answer any questions you may have. I started coming because I pulled my back and Ive improved so much now Im only on maintenance. Besides the chiro care they give you tips and advice to continue the care at home. They dont have pushy sales pitches. They tell you what your problem is, possible cause, set up treatment and its up to you if you want to take it or not. I definitely recommend Essential Chiropractic.

Let me start off saying I have had Chiropractic care on and off for years, And I am not one who believes in masking the symptoms with pain meds and muscle relaxers. I want the problem solved, Dr. Mckenna did just that. My husband referred me to Dr. Mckenna for my neck and shoulder pain which caused migraines due to hours on the computer. After 6 months, (yes, it takes time to heal years of abuse) I can say I am pain free! I find that Dr. Mckenna is professional, and cares about your long term health/goals. His plan for your care goes beyond the immediate issue. I I consider Essential Chiropractic a vital component of my preventative healthcare program. Highly recommend.

I have suffered from intermittent terrible lower back pain for 15 years and just accepted that I came from a family line of bad backs, not thinking that the problem could ever be fixed. However, a really severe stint sent me into the hands of Dr. McKenna and I must say that after 3 months of chiropractic care, and x-rays to prove it, I am no longer in pain and no longer look and walk like a hunchback! Not only is Dr. McKenna a pro at his practice, but I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about his staff. The girls know their stuff and have such positive energy that radiates through the office. Love everything about this place ♥

I have been going to Dr. McKenna for over 2 years now and I cant say enough positive praises for this practice! The staff is friendly, helpful and always make you feel welcome. For those of you who doubt the validity of chiropractic care, all I have to say is that Im sleeping better, getting sick less often (Im a teacher so this is a miracle), and my recurrent migraines are a thing of the past. This is by far the best experience I had at a chiropractic clinic. Dr. McKenna is very personable and focused in each patient. Reiley, Alicja and Melissa, the office team is very friendly and attentive. Dr. McKenna hosts periodic recreational and health oriented activities for his patients. My migraines were getting to the point that I was taking prescription medicine almost daily. Dr. McKenna got them down to an extremely low level. Amazing! Hes also been great with my twin eight year old boys. Even my husband that did not believe in chiropractors is now standing up straighter and is convinced. Great job. A+++++
