Every time we come into the ER, we are treated like its not a big deal. My daughter was sick last spring, we came in THREE times to be told, and I quote, "Its just a virus, you can follow up with her pediatrician - they can do more there than we can here." Really? At an ER in a hospital.. We went to Community Hospital where we werent talked to like a child, and they took action with tests. Turns out, she had a SEVERE UTI that went on for over a week untreated because it was "just a virus." Last Friday, my husband was in a bad car accident and was taken to St Vincent by ambulance. The dr (Helen) laughed and said, "Are you serious?" when I asked for medicine for his pain. She told us that he would be taken for an MRI & X-ray on his knee. Tests come back, the dr says nothing is wrong, just cuts, scrapes, bruises. The nurse comes into discharge and goes over how to treat a sprain with us. Yet, the DR never told us it was a sprain. The next day, we returned because his pain level was too much and since the accident was not his fault, we want everything to go through insurance (why should we pay out of pocket for something we would have never been doing had the lady that hit him been paying attention to the road). I explained to the dr (same one - Helen) all of this and she said to me, more than once, and I quote. "Its just dollar store stuff." Unnecessary and rude. But yet she prescribed Tylenol with codene? Thats not "dollar store stuff." NOW, to the reason I am actually writing this review. And believe me, if there was an option to give them a 0, I would. My husband just visited the chiropractor to be adjusted from the accident. As they were talking and the chiropractor was explaining things to him - he realized they didnt ever give him an MRI. (We havent been ill in years, let along anything serious enough to have these kinds of tests.) SO YOURE TELLING ME, WITH A CAR ACCIDENT INJURY WHERE THE OUTSIDE OF HIS KNEE IS BRUISED, CUT AND OBVIOSULY CAUSING PAIN ALL THE WAY DOWN HIS LEG AND THEY DIDNT EVEN TRY TO CHECK FOR AN ACL INJURY. This is absolutely inexcusable. We will NEVER be back to this hospital, they received more than enough chances to actually take care of our family and they failed on every occasion.

Had surgery on my ear done here, as well as ENT and ER visits stemming from that. Every time Ive had anything to do with this place Ive been impressed. For my ENT I see Dr. Warrick. At first I was put off by his bedside manner, but then quickly found that that might be a good thing to have. My old ENT was willing to basically put a bandaid over a life long issue, but Dr. Warrick went to extra mile and got testing and found the source of the issue. I had the surgery and since then Ive been rid of the headaches that have plagued me for years. When i had my surgery everyone from the intake people to those in the ER to the nurses in recovery were very accommodating and sweet. The night shift nurse and attentends knew I was worried about spending the night alone in the hospital, and stayed with me while I was having bouts of voimiting after the anesthesia. They helped me get back to normal, with getting me water and crackers to eat, and checking in with me frequently. A someone whod never stayed in the hospital before and was a bit out of it, this was huge. I really was impressed with this hospital when I came to the ER a few weeks after surgery with severe stomach pains and a fever. I grew up in Muncie, where there is only the one hospital. So I was used to that, and how their ER ran. You might be waiting 6-7 hours just for something basic. The last time I went there I sat in a wheelchair, hurt and crying, for over an hour waiting for an x-Ray. This place ran much much smoother. I was in and out in less than 2 hours, issue addressed and medication in hand. I was blown away. A great place. Im happy that this is my local hospital.

My 65 year old mother was in your hospital with chest pains and a headache. Your hospital provided poor care, she was there for 4 and a half hours with little to no communication from your staff. Your staff was too preocupied with chit chatting with each other than actually doing anything. And nobody came and told us anything until we complained asking for some updates. Only then were we "updateded" on her condition. 4.5 hours to be told that she was probably okay and to follow up with her physisian. We were told that the wait was so long because they had to wait on radiology to read her ct scan. Do you not have radiologists on staff? I can guarantee you this, when it was Saint Johns the care was much better. My mother was a surgical nurse at Saint Johns for over 30 years. And her exact words will I will never come to this hospital again. You are not a heart hospital, you are not a trama center. You should stop advertising as such if you can not provide a decent level of care.

I use to not have much to say about St. Johns/St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. Since they have went to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, I have only the best things to say. They have improved very much. My grandfather use to work in the surgery department many years ago and retired from St. Johns. When he worked there back in the 80s and 90s, it was the best hospital. Sometime after he retired, they started going down hill, doctors, nurses and other staff were rude most of the time. Now, I will only see doctors and have test and lab work done only here at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. I have visited the Emergency Room 4 times in the 40 years Ive been alive. I have received poor care twice back in the day and the last two times the Emergency Room doctor, nurse and staff were so nice. I "highly recommend" St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital if you live in this area or are visiting this area.

Its an ER so unless your dieing someone who is dieing is going to take priority. I was taken back quickly and things were slow and the room was hot and I ended up leaving before being discharged due to pain and frustration. However, I contacted them to inform them of my experience and why I left before discharge...they made every attempt to try and ensure similar situations dont happen to other patients or myself again. What more can you expect from a hospital?!? The fact that they took my situation seriously enough, showed concern, and welcomed me back will make me return there in the future. Their ER team is filled of people who want to be there and who want to help you, I can tell you from my experience...they have a good ER staff. Maybe different bandages though...lol theirs rip the hair right off your arm Ouch!

Worst hospital I have ever been too. Very rude stick up staff. I had lost a prescription and returned the next day. They dudes me as an "Abuse risk" because I lost my paper. Which in turn affected my treatment. I was being pushed out of the door. There are resources that can be used to get around such problems but was refused them. I feel degraded and judged. They refuse to listen to me and keep trying to give me medications that have been deemed infective medically for me. In my opinion, they do not care for there patiance. 5:14/2017 Now Im being refused my medication I have a written prescription for. This place blows my mind.
