Used to use them for our farm, but quit years ago after they made several mistakes that led to the death of one of our baby animals. Recently reached out to them in an emergency with another baby, but was told off by Amber, the assistant, who hung up on me because she said the doctor was tired of me asking questions and after she lied about how they had treated my previous baby and argued with me about it. Never trust a vet who resents questions and refuses to answer them. Will never call these people again. The vet tech is rude, they overcharge and they make too many fatal & costly mistakes. I have a much better regular vet and will go to Purdue for emergencies --- it always took several hours for Frank to show up for appointments or emergencies anyway. I could easily drive to Purdue in the time I spent waiting for him to show up.

I do not recommend Hendricks County Animal Hospital. We took my 13 week old kitten to their office. He was lethargic, slightly anemic and sneezing. He had been fine when my fiance and I had left for work that morning but we came home to an extremely sick cat. We rush him to HCAH and they give him fluids, flea treatment and an antibiotic then tell us to take him home. He literally died in my arms 2 hours later. I feel a veterinarian should be able to tell when a kitten is not going to make it instead of charging someone $160 for a cat thats only going to live a few more hours.

Was given a voucher at the Hendricks county animal shelters shot clinic to have my dog spayed for 50.00.This hospital was on the list of places that was supposed to honer this voucher.They didnt and gave me the run around about pricing.They convenienly lost the voucher,gave me the run around about pricing and ended up charging me 160.00.Way to help out low income people.Also...when i went to pick her up,the girl tried to drag her down the stairs with the leash when post op instructions clearly state NO STAIRS!I I WILL NOT be bringing her back!

I took my 9month old puppy there the 8th of January 2016. He is a large breed lab and german rottweiler they where very nice and helpful. He had chewed a ball up and had some stuck in his stomach that had to be removed. They called me and let me know what they did and when they where going to do the procedure and when they where done. He is doing very well and growing Diablo my puppy is here today all thanks to this hospital and Dr. Stokes. I cant thank them enough for helping my Diablo thank you and keep up the wonderful work.

Always fantastic and great with all my animals. I have turtles, cats, and dogs, and Dr. Portwood is an expert in all their care and my animals love her. They are willing to work on billing and help me understand what is going on to better understand how to help take care of my pets. My dog had cancer and they were with me all the way up until the end. I love them there and will never change vets. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks where I go.

Terrible!! Dr. Allrich almost killed my golden retriever, Gus. She could not read her own x-rays. She misdiagnosed him with an enlarged heart. Two weeks later he was so sick I almost had him euthanized. I took the x-rays that she had taken to two other veterinaries and a cardiologist and all three concluded that he did not have an enlarged heart. Thank god Gus is doing much better now. :)

I recommend HCAH for people...I brought my puppy Cooper here for a neuter and he was treated with the utmost care I also brought my uncles dog Angel in for a spay and they checked her ears...they are both doing great I really recommend HCAH for a good animal hospital for people to go to
