Im sort of a "frequent flyer" over the years. This was the first hospital we came to from our house many years ago when we needed emergency care. In recent years I have been taken to this ER for 2 strokes. The cause of the first was mis-diagnosed and a congenital condition was missed that led to the 2nd stroke. I dont know if anyone can be blamed for this or not. The second stroke a few years later was taken very seriously and the cause was found. It was an ASD, PFO that is the wall between top chambers of my heart did not close at birth 64 years before. They worked hard to find this and I was referred to an excellent Community cardiologist who performed the procedure to close the defect. I had excellent care in every way while at the hospital. I also use their lab for blood draws after many, many years of painful experiences at the other MACL labs. Lab people who work in the hospital seem to be better skilled at this procedure. Also an ENT who did sinus surgery on me a couple of years ago said that I could use either hospital but the other one one the south side was more expensive--if cost matters to someone.

I was in the emergency room for injured hand. Was taken right in waited about three to five minutes. Three nurses came in took vitals, listened to what I had to say. Very respectful treated like a first class citzen. They brought X-ray in to me I know five or 10 minutes later. They apologized for the wait time. Very efficient, and fast. There maybe an hour. I was very impressed with all of the staff! They all have my vote. Oh, and I have never been there before. Sorry, for the rant but they are my new hospital!

I went there for my delivery with Dr. James Webb. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section, started hemorrhaging, had to go back for a second surgery but it went perfect. all of the staff was kind, attentive and understanding of every question that I had. I originally had chosen St Francis as my hospital of choice but I am genuinely pleased with my choice. I will definitely be coming back here if I ever have another child. I loved my stay.

The doctors are rude and insulting. They dont want to listen to a patient that has dealt with there illnesses and pain for a long time and know what has worked in the past. They are more worried about showing you how smart they are and how stupid the you are. Ive taken Linda to this ER and spent 7 or 8 hrs there just to have the doctor send her home to come back the next day and be admitted for sepsis. Leaving to go to St. Francis.

I had my son at CSH, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience! It was more like a hotel stay than a hospital visit. The nurses and doctors were very supportive, informative, and genuinely caring! The environment is great, and the food was good, too. ;) The Lactation Consultants have also been literal lifesavers through the breastfeeding support group. The free valet service is also very helpful.

The staff was very nice and it was easy getting in to see the doctor. We saw Dr. Mary Mayers in the Cancer Center. When you first walk in you check in at the counter. Once thats done an employee, for lack of a better term, escorts you upstairs to your doctors office.... kind of strange. Anyway the doctor was cut and dry which is that we like since we dont like dealing with doctors anyway.

My Dad just had a cataract removed yesterday at your hospital. Just want to say that he and i were impressed by the care, understanding, professionalism, and general upbeat atmosphere we experienced. "Thanks!" to Marcell, Mai Lee, Janay and the staff for making us feel like real people and getting him through it. All the best to you, Dr. Lanter, and the department.....the Piety Family.

My brother was admitted there in late April and passed away there 4 days later. The nursing staff and hospice folks were over the top. I can not explain how impressed my entire family was by their compassion. One nurse who was with us the most, Angie L. actually cried with us when he passed away. For such a terrible week, I wouldnt have wanted to be anywhere else.

. I do have to say that the majority of the nursing staff were pleasant, competent and professional and took good care of my father in the 35 days he was in the hospital. I cant say the same thing for the doctors or the hospital administration. I have never seen such a lack of communication . There were multiple doctors and regular miscommunication

If you can choose a different hospital or emergency room, do it. In four visits my wife and I have had over the past month, with the exception of one nurse, the staff has been rude and not at all understanding. Wait times, both in the waiting room and in the room, have been outrageous. We will never be back to this hospital.

Ive always been treated well at community south but theres a specific lady that is absolutely disrespectful and had such a disgusting attitude and shouldnt be around people at all, her name is Cindy I believe, she answers incoming calls. Not sure what else she does but she should be written up for her awful attitude.

My 4 year old was scared to go to the doctor, but they were incredible and she somehow ended up having a great time. The staff, RNs, and doctor made her feel like she was at a Doc McStuffins camp. They even gave her stuffed animal a checkup. Great place to take a young child for sure!

Every nurse was helpful for my stay but one I had to call for my air to be turned off when eat and back on when done so did that and was talk I should of pushed it to the side and she could of got it later then walked out and started talking to every one else at nurse station.

This review directly reflects the east unit nursing staff on the 3rd floor. On a scale from 1-10 my rating is -4 in ALL aspects of health care. PLEASE take your loved ones anywhere else if you are told that they will be put in this unit.

Rude insensitive staff. Took 24 hrs to find out my mother had a heart attack while in their care. While not all staff are so rude, these people should be required to take annual sensitivity training....

I absolutely loved the staff here when I delivered my little guy. They made me feel so comfortable and went out of their way to help me with an issue we faced. I highly recommend them.
