We recently took all 3 dogs, Frantz, Ulli and Thora in for their annual physicals and shots. As always, Dr. Bailey thoroughly examined all three and took his time with each one. All three passed with flying colors. There was however an issue with HRH Miss Thora and HRH Frantz- their weight! HRH Miss Thora was about 7 lbs overweight- she is supposed to weigh in around 12 lbs- not 19 lbs! We couldnt blame it on the scale either! The winter had been tough and little Miss Thora hadnt exercised like usual. Frantz on the other hand weighed in 10 lbs overweight at 110 lbs! He, unlike Thora had enjoyed the deep snow and minus temperatures. This discovery resulted in "the talk" with Dr. Bailey. We all agreed that dietary changes needed to be made ASAP and we made them! Our next appointment will be for teeth cleaning. We have been clients of the MCAH since 1992 and would never consider going anywhere else. That is by itself a testimonial to the high quality care that Dr. Bailey and his staff provide 365 days a year!

Dr. Rex Bailey is hands down The Very Best Vet in the whole tri-state (Indiana, Michigan & Illinois) in my opinion. His knowledge, care and compassion are second to none. The staff are amazing very polite and caring and always right in the ball, you never have a response like I dont know if someone doesnt have the answer to youre question they will do their very best to help and find out. If a client needs a call back you can always depend that there will be a call back. I am so very grateful for Dr. Bailey & Michigan City Animal Hospital and its quite a drive for me but I would drive 2 or 3 times just to be sure my furbabies are properly loved and cared for. Thank you Dr. Bailey and staff!!!

I have taken all my animals to MC Animal for 5 1/2 years now...and would go absolutely NO WHERE ELSE!! The entire office is very friendly, and caring, no matter the circumstances that arise. My animals are taken care of as I would do myself, and means much to me! It doesnt matter which vet you see, they are all 3, A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!! They care for and educate the owner as well. Nothing is too odd, or too ignorant for them to explain and teach. I have taken in dogs, cats, rats.....and all have been cared for superbly. I feel extremely blessed to have found a Vet office that I have no fear taking any of my animals to. They become your friends, and part of your family!

This is the best facility around. The doctors are compassionate and knowledgeable. They are very thorough in their check up routines, they look for new ways to treat ailments and are cautious about prescribing medications. Steroids are not the "go to" drug in this hospital. The reception staff is not only, friendly ... theyre efficient! I would have given them 10 stars.

Been using this vet for approx. the past 3 yrs, bringing over more and more of our children(pets) as we progress. They are, and have done excellent work with our geriatric pets both canine and feline. Adding Dr. Kristi Fritz certainly helped their workload Im sure but also added a good vet to the staff.

Just recently took my miniature English bulldog there upon my bros recommendation. The entire staff and Dr Bailey were wonderful. I didnt feel rushed through so he could move on to the patient. He took the time to address and clearly explain my dogs multiple issues. Highly recommend!

Really great doctors, they always take care of my dog and make sure hes getting what he needs. Only reason Im giving them a 4 is because they are very pricey. For many in our town, that is the animal hospital the "rich people" go to.

I had an amazing little dwarf hamster. She had a broken leg and I took her here, they took AMAZING care of her and even though she had to be out to sleep they did it in such a caring way! I would recommend this place to anyway!
