1 star is being too nice. Dr and staff are very rude on more than one occasion. Took a puppy and a cat for vet care. Paid for 2 separate exams but they printed the same bill of health report on 1 document. I asked to separate them as the new owners of the puppy did not need a copy of a statement with details about our cat. I was told they could not. Then was told the vet was too busy to take a minute out to make two separate reports. Even though I already paid for my visit. They were supposed to do a new puppy wellness exam on the puppy before she goes to her new home and provide a bill of health report... invoice states NOTHING about heart or lungs being checked which are 2 of the most important checks on a wellnes exam. Called and they refuse to give me a report. Wasted money to now have to go to another vet for a 2nd exam just to get a printed out report that would have taken then 5 minutes to do. We will never go back to them again and will warn all of our puppy buyers not to go there as well. Also. They WAY over charge!!!!! Follow up after owners false reply: NO, the reports were NOT ever emailed to me. And I never asked for reports to be falsely changed to say what I wanted it to say that would be unethical and I would not falsify anything. You were Just simply asked to separate them into 2 reports as I did pay for 2 separate exams and it was made clear the pup report was needed for the new owners at time of exam. The cat is not owned by me she is owned by my boyfriend who is the person that took them to the appointment and the fact that you guys already started the process of putting the cat to sleep without his permission first is exactly why he didnt allow you to do it. Not to mention the outburst from the staff which is not allowed and he could file against you for that. However That situation was between you and the cat owner and had nothing to do with the fact that I didnt get the report I needed for the puppy and paid for. You all are rude and unprofessional and that was not the first time. The cat went to a more professional animal hospital and was properly cared for by a more caring team than yours. And that place also had no issues giving us a separate report for the pup. I will continue to send all our pet families to them going forward!

Our experience at Horse and Hound could not have been better. First the clinic was very clean. Most importantly the staff was professional, friendly and beyond accommodating. The professionalism of the staff started with a well explained plan of what the operation would entail and itemized cost was clearly given up front. After the surgery we got courtesy calls and I left a message with a question before hours and they promptly responded with an informed response. My wife was further impressed when she saw Dr. Hopper at school registration and she asked how our dog was doing by name and condition. To say they were accomadating is an understatement. We had to carry our dog into the vets office, carry her to the scale, carry her to the exam room and even out of the office. While all of this happened she also managed to have not one but two accidents and unplugged the scale. They were more than understanding and made arrangements for the next time so that our dog and me would not have anxiety. Now our dog actually runs to see Dr. Hopper. Even though we have a lengthy drive and there are closer vets we will be taking our pets back and recommend others to do the same.

I am new to the area & chose Horse & Hound due to its proximity to where I live. I found the staff & vet very professional. They answered all my questions in a very compassionate & sincere way. That I appreciate very much & in my book is a sign of a very exceptional place to take my pets. But what I was the most impressed about is that they could have requested a test that wasnt necessary just to make more money (as my other vet did). But instead looked to see when last the test was done & said it didnt need to be repeated so soon. My pets are my family & heart so I am very pleased to have found a great place to take them where I can rest assured they will be well taken care of. Thank you Horse & Hound! And I look forward to continued positive visits in the future.

Angie Blackwell is a kind and compassionate vet, that also tells it like it is. If you want a great vet, that will provide quality care for your horse, and will tell you the truth, then Dr. Blackwell is the best around. Coming from someone who has a propensity to come home with horses who have issues, Angie is a tied and true, great lameness vet. If it can be fixed, she will tell you. If she cant fix it, but someone else can, she will tell you. If it cant be fixed, she will tell you and give you options to manage it. What Dr. Blackwell is not is a vet that will cut corners, that will take your money and provide sub-par care, and is not arrogant.

The doctors and staff at this facility are united in their passion for helping animals. It is clear that this hospital cares about its patients and its clients. As a frequent client, as well as having referred several friends and family members, I can tell you that my pets are treated with care and kindness, something that I value in a veterinary hospital. As a client, I am aware that I have my choice of veterinarians and I would choose this practice 100 times over. Thanks for being such a great place to bring my animals!

Too expensive, angie is not very nice almost has an arrogant and rude personality. I have heard her comment several times on her horses are much better than the ones she works on. Office staff has been rude on several occasions. Angie has also lied to me several times. Finally have had enough of paying too much and for what Im getting. Im over the better than everyone personality and have already found a great vet. Whatever you do, dont go here.

Dr. Blackwell is the only one who I trust with my performance horses.... She is very thorough and knows her stuff. She does not give up on a treatable injury like most. If it wasnt for her my 1D barrel horses career would have been over years ago when he suffered a traumatic leg injury and 3 vets told me to put him down . Thanks to Dr Blackwell he has had a long successful career since then

Nothing but good things to say. Absolutely love the doctors and staff. I called 30 min before closing because my pup wasnt doing well at all. They got me in and did all the in depth testing that needed to be done even though it took a lot of time and they were closed. Dr. Roe truly loves your animal as much as you do!
