A. Talevski has the absolute worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. Totally unprofessional and condescending! I am not only a parent, but also a health care worker. It might be in the best interest of some of your employees to consider that possibility, choose their words wisely and check their attitudes before dealing with patients and family members. His callous disposition and complete disregard for my concern when I was in the clinic with my son really makes the clinic look bad. Ive been using the Hammond clinic for over 10 years. While I have had encounters with the occasional rude employee or disconnected and burned out provider, he by far takes the cake. We didnt even get instructions for follow up! Just come back and see THE neurologist. No name, no mention that the appointment would be in a totally different building, nothing. How unprofessional! I work pretty closely with the ER doctors and staff of St. Margarets North campus. I see every day, the overload of patients and how it taxes the staff, but never, NEVER do any of them show any type of disregard for the people they care for. This is a clinic, a far cry from the chaotic ER to the north. If he cant handle the hustle there, then maybe he should consider a different line of work

My husband called in a refill for medication on Thursday. Went to pick it up today. Was told by Walgreens they had not received my refill, even after faxing and calling the office twice. I call the office and am told "Im sorry, the doctors not in on the weekends so we cant do anything." Now, his medication is not life threatening, but what if it had been? What if he needed heart medication? Chemotherapeutics? The best part? They apparently dont keep their records up to date. He was started on Chantix in May. Prescribed the starter pack. A month later he refilled and received the continuation pack. Apparently this was not recorded in their record, so even if they COULD refill it, because the "prescription had been lax" they wouldnt have refilled it. Im sorry, how is the fact you have incompetent staff our problem? He obviously refilled it. I have the prescription right here. Sadly, he cannot get a refill and has to wait until Monday to deal with the staff/refill situation. We plan on transferring his records to another doctor, but he still needs his refill. I do not plan on allowing him to return to this office. This is not how medicine works.

WRONG Diagnosis!! My 1-year-old niece was unable to move her arm, she cried severely when she attempted to move it. My sister took her to this facility and the doctor only checked her hand but not her arm. After she told them exactly what caused her arm to hurt that badly they took long hours of test and x-rays they told her it was just badly sprained and told her mother to take some Motrin. During the night she tossed and turned through severe pain. She was hot and sweaty from the stress of the pain. THE VERY NEXT DAY, my sister took her to the ER by our home, Franciscan St Margaret in Dyer. They took her in almost immediately and she went forth to tell them the exact same story of the incident, they diagnosis-ed her with NURSES MAID ELBOW. So her arm was out of place and needed to be popped back in. Once they did that she was perfectly fine in the next two minutes, her arm was moving she was no longer in severe pain!! ITs ridiculous that they took almost fours hours of x rays only to come back with....a sprain. Im so glad my sister got a second opinion before her arm got worst. We are never coming here again!!

My doctor forgot to call me regarding my extreme pain and possible nerve damage in my right leg. After several calls to her office, I still never got a call back. After calling central scheduling I got a same day appointment for 3:15pm. I checked in at 2:40pm but wasnt called back until 4:15pm, with not one staff member explaining to me or the other 3 patients why they were so behind. Once in the room my doctor admitted that she forgot who she was supposed to call. I was told to make an Orthopedic Appointment, on Nov 7th I called and the first available appointment was over 3 weeks later. The is sad that there are no open appointments for new patients. To tell a person thats dealing with extreme pain, SORRY but THATS THE FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT. I have a labrel tear in my hip and 3 herniated discs and I am told to wait 3 weeks to see a doctor. I am now going to the University of Chicago where I will be having surgery. After this experience at Hammond Clinic, I may never return or bring my family back to Hammond Clinic again. SAD SERVICE

The nurses are incompetent. I had to wait over a week to set up an appointment because there is only one nurse who was able to, and she was never there when I called. Every time I called, I was transferred 3-7 times, a was even transferred back to people I had already spoke to numerous times. I finally get an appointment two weeks away, it took two separate phone calls just for them to get my insurance information down right and then they call me 3 hours before my appointment to cancel. They said they didnt accept my insurance, when I called my insurance provider, I found out that they certainly did accept my plan. I waited 3 weeks to see someone, talked to a handful of nurses and employees who did not know what they were doing, all while I was diagnosed with a THREATENED MISCARRIAGE! They put my unborn childs life in danger by not giving me medical assistance and put me through so much stress that I did not need at that time.

I just get flu shots there because it is convenient. The innoculation center is good, does not take very long to be seen, and the practitioner was competent and pleasant. The only problem I had was with the check in people, who are pretty much ALWAYS rude. This last time in the span of a few minutes, I was snapped at for asking where I should go, then had to wait while she was happily chatting with a colleague about personal matters. Then she, again, rudely told me to go sit down and theyd call me. Really, that was uncalled for. And it was not just me, I heard her act the same way to others. This was not the first time that the receptionist was rude to patients, each year I experience the same thing. I am sorry if the employees dont like their jobs or are overworked and underpayed, they at least need some additional training and supervision. I think next year: Walgreens!

I just had an appendectomy on the first, discharged on the 3rd. Everything was fine leading up into surgery, it was the night after that was absolute hell. I was in absolute pain and my nurse Lorri and her assistant Sherri did not want to help nor show any signs of compassion. They told me there was nothing they can do to help and Id have to suck it up so these angels can save me from becoming a drug addict. My next dose was around 3:45 am and it took the nurse until 5 am to make a round to my room so they can give me the antibiotic they forgot about. I asked then if I could get my pain meds so I can at least sleep and they told me Ill get them when Im supposed to. I told them according to the board, I should have received them over an hour ago. She didnt say anything and returned with my meds. I was relieved the next day to meet my awesome new nurses.
