I am a dog lover and take pride in caring for my animals. However, after my experience at Jennings Vet I will never take my dog or other animals there due to the hidden costs and poor customer service. When I go to any office visit, I would like to know what I am going to be charged before services are rendered so I have the choice to except that service or not! $52.00 may not be a lot of money to a veterinarian, but it is to other people! Customers should not be shocked By the bill when picking up their dog.If I would have known the total cost beforehand, I would have not chosen to take my dog there! The cost to board by dog was only $30.00 and the hidden fee was 52.00.... so to watch my dog for three days cost less than the five minute non exsistant "office examination" Story below: My dog used to go to Jennings Vet but I switched a couple of years ago because I needed evening appointments and the lastest they are open is 6.. I recently needed to board my dog and I called Jennings Vet a few weeks before leaving to schedule arrangements ... The receptionist reviewed my chart and noticed my dog had not been seen in the clinic. In a couple of years . I explained that she has been going to another clinic and is up to date with vaccines and that clinic was already full and I could not board my dog there. They went on to say "no problem just bring in a record and the cost will include the nights the dog stays and a office visit. when I dropped her off to be boarded they stated she needed just one shot "kennel cough and it will be 13.00 for that". The Vet and assistant met with me for five minutes tops and never examined my dogs body, teeth, ears! Nothing! When I picked up my dog after vacation (just for 3 nights) my bill was a 130.00... when I got home I looked over my receipt and I was charged a 52.00 office fee/examination. I then called the office just to ask why I was charged an office visit, examination fee, the boarding cost, and the shot! They went on to explain that it is per policy when a dog has not been in the clinic to do an examination!!!! I began to explain she had been seen by another Clinic in March, they had those records and that they never examined her! She then tried to say it was to cover the cost of the shot, but on the bill the shot was 13.00, so that was not it! The point here is if it was "per policy" why was this not mentioned when I called to schedule the boarding; shot or no shot? This issue was never resolved! The receptionist over the phone just kept saying "Im just the receptionist",but never did anything about it! Poor custom service and hidden fees... All about the money at Jennings Vet!

One of the worst places to take an animal. I had a sick cat and called their emergency help line and left a message. It took forever to get a call back and while I am trying to tend to my sick cat, I have this "Dr. Stephen L Sollman" call me and leave me a nasty message stating "I am returning your call but I dont want to play phone tag with you because it is 4 in the morning on Sunday, so we can just touch base with you in the morning when it is daylight.". I would not take a sick mouse to this clinic. They over charge and this doctor is nothing but arrogant and does not care rather your animal lives or dies. All they care about is the money. I also had a problem with them telling me what meds to give my dog, then when i go in they tell me that it is not right and want to blame me for it. Then want to try and say that more less it is neglect. Worst Business out their. They also quote you a price and it ends up being more than double of what it was even suppose to be. Also, in response to you stating that you returned the phone calls, that is not the case and I can provide the phone records for that. If you honestly feel that you are put out by someone calling at those hours and waking up your family members, then you need to not have a 24 hour "help" line for emergency and should only be open normal hours.
